Shaking with terror at the prospect of reformer Rob Ford winning Toronto's municipal elections, Glenn Wheeler, an in-house legal counsel for a labour union advocates strategic voting for George Smitherman.
While acknowledging that Smitherman is an inferior candidate, Wheeler believes a quid-pro-quo for municipal labour unions can be extracted from him in exchange for supporting his failing mayoral bid.
