Love the way that the dry humor and straight seeming persona of Gene Hackman was used to get a laugh at the poor(Boyle)monsters expense.
I hadn't seen that movie in ages and I'd forgotten about Gene Hackman's hilarious cameo.When he does comedy, like here and in Get Shorty, he's fabulous at that too.
