TORONTO — The cancellation of a signed contract to build a gas plant in Oakville, Ont., will cost hydro customers up to $2 a year, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) says.
“It’s less than a cup of Tim Hortons coffee a year,” Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli said Thursday.
Right now, there are approximately 13.5 million people living in Ontario. The $27 million per year ($2/yr x 13.5 MM Ontarians) wouldn't even cover the interest payments on the $1.1 Billion the McWynnety Liberals stole from taxpayers to buy two by-elections.
