Canadian funder of Palestinian suicide bomber incentive program sues government after being designated a terrorist entity

...between 2004 and 2009, IRFAN-Canada had funded “operating partners that were run by officials of Hamas, openly supported and provided funding to Hamas, or have been listed by various jurisdictions because of their support for Hamas or other terrorist entities.”
A Charities Branch document said IRFAN-Canada had sent almost $15-million to groups such as the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, which is controlled by Hamas and “distributes financial assistance to the families of martyrs.”
IRFAN-Canada also maintained a relationship with the Union of the Good, whose president, Yusuf Qaradawi, has urged Muslims to take up arms against Westerners, “corrupt Jews” and “pagan Hindus,” the Charities Branch said.
Its had also provided $50,000 to the Al-Khidmat Foundation, part of Jamaat-i-Islami, the political wing of the Pakistani militant group Hizbul Mujahideen and itself a financier of Hamas.
Aside from its links to Hamas, IRFAN-Canada was cited for poor record keeping and “deceptive and misleading fundraising.” While it had urgently solicited donations for several high-profile disasters, there was no evidence the funds were used for those purposes, regulators said...
