CTV promotes conspiracy-theory promoting nutcase, hard core anti-Israel fanatic as expert "freelance journalist"

In an interview with Jacqueline Milczarek, Mr. Catron was described by CTV as a “freelance journalist” from Gaza several times, yet, he is far from that. Instead, he’s a hard-core anti-Israel activist...

The website Mondoweiss notes the following about Catron: “About Joe Catron: Joe Catron is a US activist in Gaza, Palestine, where he works with Palestinian groups and international solidarity networks, particularly in support of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) and prisoners’ movements. He co-edited The Prisoners’ Diaries: Palestinian Voices from the Israeli Gulag, an anthology of accounts by detainees freed in the 2011 prisoner exchange, blogs at joecatron.wordpress.com and tweets at @jncatron.”
Canton is as featured writer on the hardcore anti-Israel website Electronic Intifada. In the interview, Canton, as would be expected, ran interference for Hamas, lying about Hamas using civilian facilities for terror launching, the usual.

The one thing that Catron did say that is particularly revealing is that every Palestinian he knows wants Israel "continue the resistance" i.e. attack Israel. In the terror-friendly circles he frequents, that may be true, but that is not likely to be true of everyone in Gaza as civilians continue to suffer because of the sociopathic, bloodthirsty Hamas leadership.

CTV's irresponsible use of Canton contributes to the idea that every Palestinian in Gaza is a terrorist and that unfair portrayal does justice to neither side in the conflict.
