Obama's administration will excuse any and all of Iran's nuclear transgressions in order not to appear weak, thus revealing incredible weakness
...the New York Times recently discovered that Iran, under strict orders from the Obama Administration circa two years ago to halt all acquisitions of nuclear material during the 18-month sanctions negotiation process, has grown its nuclear stockpile by about 20%, based on a report from the IAEA issued Friday. While Iran has stopped producing certain forms of highly enriched uranium and has stopped work at most of the facilities being tasked with producing an "atomic energy source" the 20% acquisition growth is in open defiance of their initial agreement. The Times goes on to note that Iran acquired the material recently, possibly for leverage in the talks, and that US officials were unsure as to how or when the actual acquisitions were made.
There's some good news, though. According to (US State Dept. spokesperson) Marie Harf, there's no reason to be concerned...

The most incendiary and least credible of these is the assertion by the Commission’s chair, Judge Murray Sinclair, that the 150,000 children who attended these mainly Church-run schools between 1849 and 1996 were considered “sub-human,” a claim belied by their very raison-d’être: to give aboriginal children the chance to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to fully benefit from membership in the new country of Canada.
Was this an ethnocentric goal? Absolutely. So was the goal of educating the children of the millions of disadvantaged immigrants who came from all over the world during the same period, resulting in the same acculturation spuriously called “cultural genocide” — that has occurred around the world since the origin of human beings...

Authorities detained a Lebanese-Canadian in late May after finding ammonium nitrate, a potential explosive, in his basement. Initially cited as two tonnes, security sources told Reuters on Tuesday the amount was in fact closer to five tonnes.

"Moderate" Palestinian Authority broadcasts kids show calling Jews "most evil among creations" and "barbaric monkeys"
Partners for peace, or a culture of psychopaths?
The Palestinian Authority continues to destroy any chance for lasting peace by teaching children that Palestinians and Muslims are in conflict with Jews. The PA teaches that Jews have an intrinsically evil nature and that this conflict is part of Islam. The PA repeatedly sends the message that the conflict is much more than a conflict over territory.
On the latest broadcast of the official PA TV children's program The Best Home, a young girl recited a poem calling Jews "barbaric monkeys," "the most evil among creations," and those "who murdered Allah's pious prophets." Jews are said to be "throngs... brought up on spilling blood... impure... [and] filth."...
Plus some bonus Palestinian goodwill and peaceful intentions they hope to spread to their children:

Islamist creep Zafar Bangash lays groundwork for insanity plea in any future criminal trial - compares Khomeini favorably to Gandhi & Martin Luther King
Emotions are running high in the lead-up to a planned protest outside the Islamic Centre of York Region in Richmond Hill this weekend.
Organizers say hundreds of Iranian and Jewish Canadians and politicians will converge on Stouffville Sideroad in front of the Islamic Society of York Region to protest an event honouring the life and deeds of Ayatollah Khomeini.
“I am deeply saddened and disappointed that the commemoration of the 26th anniversary of Ayatollah Khomeini's death and his brutal dictatorship is taking place in Richmond Hill, Ontario,” said Reza Moridi, Richmond Hill MPP and Canada’s first Iranian-Canadian provincial minister.
Moridi is one of several provincial and federal politicians expected to attend the protest Sunday afternoon.
“While freedom of assembly is the right of every citizen in our nation, I condemn the celebration of an individual that was responsible for the heinous deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Iran,” Moridi said.
Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic in Iran, is recognized as having authorized the execution of thousands of political prisoners, the systematic torture, imprisonment and murder of political dissidents and the hostage-taking of 52 American diplomats....
...A group calling itself the Muslim Community of GTA will be hosting the event, An Awakening Against Global Injustice.
Zafar Bangash, head of the Islamic Society of York Region and director of the Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought, said 3-400 people are expected to take part, listening to speeches by “world renowned” speakers, panel discussions, and poetry, art and quiz competitions.
Bangash compared the event to others that honour good work done by heroes like Martin Luther King and Ghandi.
“It will be a reminder to us there is still a lot of injustice in the world and to see [Khomeini’s] contribution in trying to remove injustice.”
But Jason Kenney, Canada’s defence minister and another politician expected to attend the protest, sees it differently. He voiced his concern via social media last week:
“Disturbing to see anyone in Canada celebrating the murderous depravity of Ayatollah Khomeini's brutal dictatorship.”...

When I first heard that students at my university had staged a protest over an essay I’d written in The Chronicle Review about sexual politics on campus — and that they were carrying mattresses and pillows — I was a bit nonplussed. For one thing, mattresses had become a symbol of student-on-student sexual-assault allegations, and I’d been writing about the new consensual-relations codes governing professor-student dating. Also, I’d been writing as a feminist. And I hadn’t sexually assaulted anyone. The whole thing seemed symbolically incoherent.
According to our campus newspaper, the mattress-carriers were marching to the university president’s office with a petition demanding "a swift, official condemnation" of my article. One student said she’d had a "very visceral reaction" to the essay; another called it "terrifying." I’d argued that the new codes infantilized students while vastly increasing the power of university administrators over all our lives, and here were students demanding to be protected by university higher-ups from the affront of someone’s ideas, which seemed to prove my point.

Toronto reaffirms its reputation as the most tight-assed city in North America
Censorious Social Justice Wankers started a petition to get a rapper named Action Bronson censored out of Toronto's North by North East Music Festival.
With help from Toronto's mayor John Tory, they won, at least insofar as he was kicked out of the festival's free concert.
I would expect Tory will use this as a resume item on his re-election bid in 3 years. So far, Tory has lots of support from local media terrified at the prospect of a return of Rob Ford. But no one can actually name a single real accomplishment by Tory, unless a massive tax increase while the city's infrastructure continues to fall apart counts as an accomplishment.

Architect of Ontario's Sex Ed curriculum sentenced to three years in prison on child porn related charges
Ben Levin, a former top bureaucrat in charge of education in Ontario and Manitoba has been sentenced to three years in prison on three separate charges related to child pornography.
Reading from her decision Madame Justice Heather McArthur said that any sentence involving child pornography must be strong enough to send a message to others that society will not accept the behaviour.
Ben Levin, who was a professor at the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the time of his arrest, had previously been deputy minister of education in Manitoba and Ontario.
He was arrested in July 2013 and originally faced seven charges. He and his lawyer proclaimed innocence but later switched to a guilty plea on three of the charges in March 2015...

Crooked FIFA official blames 'the Jews' for his downfall
Former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner has blamed Zionism for the circumstances that led to him and former Asian Football Confederation chief Mohammed Bin Hammam being forced out of world football.
Warner, 68, resigned from FIFA after ethics investigations were begun into a meeting he held with Bin Hammam where FIFA say payments were made to Caribbean soccer officials ahead of the election for FIFA president in June.
Qatari Bin Hammam was handed a lifetime ban by FIFA for his role in the affair while a number of Caribbean officials were given suspensions last week.
Bin Hammam was not immediately available for comment.
Trinadadian Warner says in a letter to the Trinidad Guardian, which will be published in full on Tuesday, he intends to speak out on the affair and highlighted who he felt was to blame for his downfall.
"I will talk about the Zionism, which probably is the most important reason why this acrid attack on Bin Hammam and me was mounted," Warner told the newspaper...
