Canadian Sea Hitler boat makes new attempt to break Israel's arms embargo of Gaza

The Sea Hitler, the boat purchased by a group of Canadian radicals and crewed by fanatics including buffoonish University of Western Ontario French teacher David Heap, is making a new stab at trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza.

Dubbed "The Tahrir" by its crew, the Sea Hitler made international headlines after its last attempt to violate the Gaza blockade was stymied by Greek authorities, who refused to allow it to sail out of Greek waters. Heap has accused Israel of "state piracy" demonstrating that the University of Western Ontario employs teachers who do not understand the meaning of some of the words that they use.

This time the boat along with an Irish yacht, has left from Turkey, whose Islamist government has severely strained relations with Israel. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan has even threatened to send naval vessels to accompany future flotillas to Gaza, but does not seem to have made good on his threat on this occasion.

Iran has attempted to use sea routes to smuggle weaponry to its proxy Hamas in Gaza and Israel has said it will intercept any vessel attempting to violate the blockade.

How dumb is Libby Davies?

Obviously NDP Health Critic Libby Davies isn't smart enough to have learned much from her last flap, when she made uninformed statements about Israel and expressed support for a boycott and sanctions against a Canadian ally that is the mid east's only democracy.That brought her extensive pillorying from across the political spectrum and even repudiation from her own party's Deputy Leader, Thomas Mulcair.

Now she's approvingly tweeting from a Sea Hitler Gaza boat support rally in France she attended  to show "solidarity" with anti-Israel activists who want to tacitly enable Hamas arms smuggling. Again, Davies has involved herself in anti-Israel activities that her party leadership has said they don't support.

Perhaps she couldn't resist, since Davies' spouse is the publisher of rabble.ca, The Sea Hitler's official media sponsor.

Davies provides another reminder that there is a dearth of intelligence at the top, and all through the ranks of the NDP.

Only a few weeks ago, the Hamas regime in Gaza became the only governing authority in the world—by my count—to express outrage and sympathy at the death of Osama Bin Laden. As the wavelets lap in the Greek harbors, and the sunshine beats down, doesn't any journalist want to know whether the "activists" have discussed this element in their partners' world outlook? Does Alice Walker seriously have no comment?

Hamas is listed by various governments and international organizations as a terrorist group. I don't mind conceding that that particular word has been used in arbitrary ways in the past. But what concerns me much more is the official programmatic adoption, by Hamas, of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. This disgusting fabrication is a key foundational document of 20^th-century racism and totalitarianism, indelibly linked to the Hitler regime in theory and practice. It seems extraordinary to me that any "activist" claiming allegiance to human rights could cooperate at any level with the propagation of such evil material. But I have never seen any of them invited to comment on this matter, either.

Sea Hitler Update: Activists resort to cannibalism

AIGOS NICOLAOS, GREECE - Canadian Gaza Boat Sea Hitler activists have vowed to stay on the detained vessel and have begun to resort to cannibalism. Greek authorities are mystified as there are ample food stores on board and Greece has offered to provide supplies.

Sea Hitler cabin boy David Heap explains, "We will consume each other as a gesture of solidarity with our brethren in Gaza. As you know, Gaza has the eighth highest obesity rate in the world, and we need to fatten ourselves up further in order to make them look starving by comparison." Only anti-Israel activists would be blind to the glaring irony of Hamas condemning Greece for blocking the departure of the ridiculous “Freedom Flotilla II” from its ports. The supreme irony isn’t that these “peace activists” are in bed with Hamas, an internationally recognized terrorist organization that made suicide bombing a staple of Islamist terror; it’s that Hamas issued its communiqué from its headquarters in that Mecca of social justice and human rights, Damascus. Yes, Damascus the capital of the Allawite regime that has no problem shooting its own citizenry while it tortures children and arrests thousands for merely hinting at government reform. You have to wonder if the superannuated blockade runners even know that there are refugee camps in Turkey bursting at the seams with Syrians fleeing death and terror at the hands of their own government.

If anyone actually ever thought these naïve anti-Israel activists are anything but the authors of their own satire, surely the fact that their comrades in Damascus are calling Greece’s anti-flotilla measures “inhuman” would convince them otherwise. Of course the activist’s counter-argument is that they do not support terrorism but are only there to “help Palestinians”. I wonder how they feel about sharing their boats with Amin Abu Rashad, former head of a Hamas “charitable foundation” that was shut down following the Dutch authorities’ probe into its involvement in funding terror activities, or Mohammed Ahmed Hanon, a financier of Hamas’ Izz-al-Din-al-Qassam terrorist brigades.

Breaking News from rabble.ca: Greek government prevents Sea Hitler from sailing!

Crete, Greece - In an attempt by local authories to confiscate the Canadian ship Tahrir's transit logs, it has been revealed that a Greek Ministerial order has been issued to prevent any ships from leaving ports in Greece if the destination is Gaza.   

"Israel has in effect extended the illegal blockade of Gaza to Greek ports, using the Greece's economic difficulties to influence the government's position," says David Heap of the Tahrir organizing committee.   

After overcoming numerous last minute hurdles, the Tahrir was boarded by local port police in Agios Nicolaos, Crete.

Hamas leader in the U.K. Identified as Sea Hitler floatilla coordinator

Iranian media has identified a Hamas/U.K Muslim Brotherhood leader as the coordinator of the current Gaza flotilla. According to a report by Iranian Press TV:

Press TV talks to Mohammed Sawalha, Gaza aid flotilla coordinator, to ask him about the aims and plans of the flotilla.
Press TV: Welcome to the show sir. Where are we now with the flotilla plans?
Sawalha: We are now in the last stage of preparations. We have now around 12 ships ready to sail and we already have hundreds of activists in the area there in Greece and other countries and we are just waiting till the end of the month to leave.
Press TV: What have you been preparing for this year’s flotilla in light of what happened last year?
Sawalha: We know how the Israelis behave and we are putting it in our minds that the Israelis can do anything and all the activists are really ready to face the Israelis policies.
We understand that the Palestinians are paying the price everyday inside Palestine because of the crimes of the Israelis to keep the siege, you know, by killing the Palestinians and not allowing even medicine and food to cross to Gaza.

The Israeli Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC) has published a profile of Hamas activist and U.K. Muslim Brotherhood leader Muhammad Kazem Sawalha, describing him as follows:

Muhammad Kazem Sawalha is a senior Hamas activist who publicly supports jihad and was formerly involved in both political and operational Hamas activities in Judea and Samaria, including running the terrorist operative infrastructure. He was wanted by the Israeli security services but in October 1990 used forced documents to escape to Jordan, and from there went to Britain. In Britain he has been involved in intensive anti-Israeli activities within the Islamic community, with the Muslim Brotherhood and with British organizations providing support for the de facto Hamas administration in the Gaza Strip.

The ITIC profiles also details Sawalha’s ties to the U.K. Muslim Brotherhood.
