Is the CBC so arrogant that they think Egyptian prosecutors aren't capable of doing a Google search like bloggers and Sun Media did to report on their background?

The background of Greyson and Loubani was concealed by their buddies in the mainstream media to manipulate Canadians into supporting the undeserving duo.

J Street - idiot Jews working to enable the destruction of Israel

When Jeremy Ben-Ami founded J Street in 2008, he wished to provide an alternative voice within the mainstream American Jewish community for pro-Israel supporters who were also deeply invested in reaching a peace agreement with the Palestinians. These aims are important, as AIPAC, the larger pro- Israel lobby group in Washington, often does not focus enough attention on the Palestinian’s plight, alienating a large segment of the young American Jewish population.

However, at this year’s J Street conference I saw a different picture.

At one of the endless sessions on the Israeli occupation, Fatah’s Husam Zomlot exclaimed, “As for the refugee issue, how do you want me to sign a deal with my own hands that would compromise the rights of two-thirds of the nation? Why do I have to compromise? What do the refugees want? Some of them want to return to their original home, but all of them want one thing: full recognition of the nakba [“catastrophe”] that has befallen our people.”

Zomlot’s declaration for the right of return and refusal to compromise on the contentious issue of refugees received sustained and loud applause. Zomlot’s wishing for the right of return, that would allow millions of descendants of Palestinian refugees from 1948 to reenter Israel, would provide the Arabs with a majority within Israel and destroy the Jewish state. This sentiment was received with cheers among J Street’s extremely left-wing activists.

Egypt should release the pair of Canadian useful idiot terror enablers

Word has come down that Canadian radical activists John Greyson and Tarek Loubani, currently imprisoned in Egypt, have been accused of murder.

I find it hard to believe those two nitwits would actually have killed anyone.

They did, however. decide to go to a violent demonstration that the Egyptian authorities declared illegal. In what strains credulity, they claimed they were just going to check out a protest on a Muslim Brotherhood declared "Day of Rage," which invariably meant that the recently outlawed Islamist organization was planning violent attacks on the government. 

That degree of idiocy from Greyson and Loubani is something I can believe. Doing that as foreigners and expecting to be able to use their Canadian passports as a "get out of jail free" card demonstrates a degree of arrogance and stupidity that is quite typical of our country's self-entitled activists. 

But this time it backfired big time.

Greyson and Loubani originally went to Egypt to use it as a transit station to enter the Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Gaza strip. If the duo's past is any guide, their purpose was to lend tacit support to Hamas by depicting Gaza's population as oppressed victims. However the territory they intended to support has been used in recent weeks as a launching pad for terror attacks against Egyptians.

It's hardly surprising that Egypt's government was less than sympathetic to foreign meddlers in their internal affairs. Particularly ones who, even with what may have been good intentions on the part of Loubani, by their own admission provided support to a banned group.

It is possible that Egypt has decided to use Greyson and Loubani as examples to dissuade other foreign agitators from interfering in their internal politics. Right now, thanks to the thoroughly inept diplomacy of Barack Obama, the US and westerners in general are more despised in Egypt than ever. Egypt rose up as never before, even under the rule of Hosni Mubarak, to rid themselves of the oppressive yolk of the Muslim Brotherhood's rule. Obama's ill-informed, equivocal statements that seemed to support the Brotherhood generated thorough contempt, not only for him, but for all outsiders in Egypt. 

Greyson and Loubani do indeed deserve contempt for their useful idiot enabling of terrorists, their arrogance and their stupidity, but they do not deserve to die.

Unless there is genuine evidence of their guilt, Egypt would serve its own purposes better by deporting Greyson and Loubani and never allowing them back, rather than handing them a victory by turning them into undeserving martyrs.

Egyptian authorities have a "solid basis" to charge Canadian Muslim Brotherhood enablers John Greyson and Tarek Loubani, according to a report in today's Toronto Star.

Greyson and Loubani are hardcore anti-Israel activists who were delayed in Egypt en route to Gaza, which is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood-linked terror group Hamas. Greyson's purpose evidently was to make a propaganda film featuring his friend Loubani.

Relations between Egypt and Gaza are extremely strained as the Hamas-controlled territory has been the source of terror attacks against Egyptians in  recent weeks. In response, Egypt has mostly sealed off Gaza and demolished most of the smuggling tunnels out of the territory that led to the Sinai desert.

The pair were arrested during a Muslim Brotherhood "Day of Rage" demonstration and Egyptian authorities allege the Canadian duo were in a Mosque that was a staging point for anti-government violence.

Along with Loubani, York University film professor Greyson, whose work is fixated on homoerotic themes, issued an emotive statement today which reads less like a record of fact than a melodramatic depiction of a sado-masochistic fantasy:

"That's when we were: arrested, searched, caged, questioned, interrogated, videotaped with a 'Syrian terrorist', slapped, beaten, ridiculed, hot-boxed, refused phone calls, stripped, shaved bald, accused of being foreign mercenaries. Was it our Canadian passports, or the footage of Tarek performing CPR, or our ice cream wrappers that set them off? They screamed 'Canadian' as they kicked and hit us. John had a precisely etched bootprint bruise on his back for a week."

The coup that removed Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi from Egypt had widespread support among the Egyptian population. After his democratic election, Morsi proceeded to subvert democracy by awarding himself dictatorial powers that exceeded those held by Hosni Mubarak.

It seems to have eluded the pair of anti-Israel fanatics that Egyptians might not be as enamored as they with a group who simply shared their goal of eliminating the Jewish state. Egyptians may despise Israel, but it poses no danger to them while also serving as a useful scapegoat. Whereas the Muslim Brotherhood represents an immediate threat to all Egyptians who don't want to live under the boot heel of Sharia Law.

Greyson and Loubani are currently on a fruit juice diet they are depicting as a "hunger strike," and mounting pressure from Canadian authorities may result in Egypt releasing them.

When that does happen, get ready for a sickeningly sanctimonious road show from a pair of self-declared martyrs that will make most forms of torture look mild by comparison.

Bupkis Bernie, Sea Hitler Sandy and self-promoters for whom "Jew" is a résumé item

Going from being a big shot to bupikis affects some people worse than others. Some do it with grace, and others have an excruciating time letting go.

Bernie Farber was, for a very long time, one of Canada's best-known "official Jews." I never met a Jew who ever had the opportunity to elect Farber to speak on their behalf, and most of the ones I know shake their head with shame when he speaks as a "representative of Canada's Jewish community." But since there's no formal qualification for the position other than a few lazy mainstream media sources quoting you as such, he got the job.

Bernie was once head of the now defunct Canadian Jewish Congress. Now he's not.

But that hasn't stopped him from continuing to put himself forward as an official Jew. Now the causes that Bernie is pushing have put him pretty close with some of the reprehensible characters in a hateful anti-Israel movement reviled by almost every Jew in Canada.

That includes a special, fatuous breed of Jew like Sea Hitler Sandy Ruch who has decided that aligning herself with causes promoting the anti-Semitic, Holocaust denying regime in Iran is a good idea.  For people like Ruch and oddball fanatics at fringe groups like those calling themselves Independent Jewish Voices, "Jew" is less a commitment to system of religious beliefs than it is a resume item and attempt to give cover for the Jew hate of their anti-Semitic associates. 

The Bernie Farbers of this world have the right to their opinions and their causes. But until he or those like him are elected Pope of the Jews, they should not claim to be speaking for them.

This time,  The Guardian's sanctimonious nitwit, who is so egregious a terror-apologist that even Bill Maher has called him out for it, was making excuses for the savages who beheaded an off-duty soldier on the streets of London yesterday:

That this was a barbaric and horrendous act goes without saying, but given the legal, military, cultural and political significance of the term "terrorism", it is vital to ask: is that term really applicable to this act of violence? To begin with, in order for an act of violence to be "terrorism", many argue that it must deliberately target civilians. That's the most common means used by those who try to distinguish the violence engaged in by western nations from that used by the "terrorists": sure, we kill civilians sometimes, but we don't deliberately target them the way the "terrorists" do.

But here, just as was true for Nidal Hasan's attack on a Fort Hood military base, the victim of the violence was a soldier of a nation at war, not a civilian. He was stationed at an army barracks quite close to the attack. The killer made clear that he knew he had attacked a soldier when he said afterward: "this British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."

Mondoweiss founder shows he's both a self-hating Jew and an idiot

Self-hating Jew is a term that gets bandied about too easily and usually incorrectly. There are some in the pro-Israel community who apply the term as a blanket to any anti-Israel Jew. That's clearly not the case for many. In the case of a number of radical anti-Israel Jews, they are not the least bit self-hating (although if they had more self-insight, they probably should be), they are self-promoting narcissists who hate other Jews.

But in a recently published piece, Philip Weiss, the founder of Mondoweiss, a fanatically anti-Israel, nutbar leftist website, demonstrates actual Jewish anti-Semitism with idiotic conspiratorial nonsense worthy of a David Duke rant.

Writing about US Vice President Joe Biden's daughter having married a Jew, Weiss states:

 I believe people want to marry Jews because we're successful (and we are overall the wealthiest group in the U.S. by religion). People want to get ahead, people want to get in with the in crowd. Of the moderators of the Republican debates this year, most were Jewish media guys.

The stupidity of what Weiss wrote is obvious. American Christians and Jews are not subject to forced, arranged marriages common in Islamic states. They marry because they fall in love with someone, not to grasp at Jewish power and wealth. Jews are one of the most integrated, assimilated  ethnic groups, so it's no wonder there is a great deal of intermarriage.

It`s not news when a Protestant marries a Catholic of a Buddhist, but in Wesis' bigoted mind, when a member of a prominent family marries a Jew and it doesn`t make the front pages, it is part of some conspiracy or as he puts it, `one of the great bans on reporting, alas because of Jewish insecurity...But there's a lot of denial of this, because of the fear that pointing out the obvious about our social position would bring about pogroms`

The insecurity, fear and cowardice is on the part of Weiss, which might well account for why he is so desperate to endear himself to the enemies of Jews and the Jewish state.
