God save the Jews from Bernie Farber
Canada's former top official Jew is looking pretty goofy these days.It's not that Bernie Farber doesn't mean well.
It's not that he isn't a supporter of Israel.
It's just the guy is so clueless, and so narcissistically intent on trying to look like a 'human rights' champion, that he'll get in bed with all sorts these days.
But give Bernie a break.
He used to be the big Jew on campus. Then, he got the shove when the Official Jewish organization he headed, the Canadian Jewish Congress, was dissolved and most of its advocacy functions absorbed into the new Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs. Right after that, the voters of Thornhill resoundingly rejected him when he ran as a Liberal for the Provincial legislature in that heavily Jewish riding.
So with the professional Jewish thing not working out so well, Bernie had to turn to greener pastures. Hey, a guy's gotta eat!
These days, Bernie is pushing the fake narrative of a "genocide" against Canada's First Nations and sucking up to the likes of she of the phony-hunger strike, the corrupt Indian Chief Theresa Spence.
But having been turfed out of the Canadian Jewish Congress gig evidently taught Bernie not to put all his eggs in one basket, so he has been busying himself with still other grievances to monger. Those being on behalf of the Gypsy* community.
In so doing, Bernie is getting mixed up with the kind of people that begs the question, "just what is wrong with that doofus?"
Bernie's latest showcase to advertise what a hell of a guy Bernie is has him on a panel discussing the documentary Never Come Back alongside the film's director, Karl Nerenberg. Human Rights hero Bernie and Nerenberg will discuss the purported plight of Canada's Gypsy refugee claimants.
And just who is Bernie's new pal Karl Nerenberg?
He's the Ottawa correspondent for the fanatically anti-Israel website rabble.ca.
The same rabble.ca which has billed itself the "official media sponsor" of both the anti-Semitic hate fest Israeli Apartheid Week and the not-so-Jew-friendly Sea Hitler Gaza Boat.
This evening of intellectual stimulation will take place September 22 at the "progressive" (read flaky) Toronto synagogue Temple Emanu-El.
Rather than their self-serving pontificating about refugee law reform, it would be far more interesting if the Q&A were to field some questions about the implicit Jew-hate of the outlet for which Nerenberg works. It would be enlightening to hear him explain why he takes a consistently disparaging and cynical tone towards the Jewish state whenever he writes about it for rabble. Or perhaps he might elucidate about exactly what he meant when he wrote, "The Conservatives focused on Mount Royal as part of their "Jewish strategy," a strategy that won them a number of seats in Toronto. " and "the Conservatives have managed to attract Jewish votes with a policy that is -- to a fault -- blindly uncritical of Israel and everything its government does. "
Bernie and Temple Emamu-El's embrace of Karl Nerenberg should make for an evening to anticipate, and I
anticipate the best description of it would be: nauseating.

against the Arab world and Iran that will require the cooperation of every
lover of Middle East freedom have been launched by a group of outspoken
Canadians, it was announced today by its leader Ehab Lotayef, a computer technician
at McGill University.
"It is high time we exposed the crimes against humanity committed by the
modern pharoahs of the Muslim Middle East. Hosni Mubarak and Col. Muammar
Gadaffi, who enslaved the long-suffering Egyptian and Libyan peoples with 30-year old
dictatorships unprecedented in modern history, have now been ousted, as has
Mubarak's successor, but democracy is still not on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Gaza, the
West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan are being ruled by hereditary fascist thugs
and usurpers who are massacring their own people ," Lotayef
stated.
Speaking
to hundreds of Muslim and Syrian Canadians on Parliament Hill, the Egyptian-
Canadian activist who is a moderate member of the Muslim Brotherhood, blasted
the Arab and Iranian regimes for plundering their countries' wealth and
depriving their people of their basic human rights. He particularly upbraided
Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iran for their entrenched
system of apartheid against their Christian Copt, Maronite, Melkite,
Palestinian, Berber, Sunni, Shia and Kurd populations.
Lotayef, who has long sailed the seas for the seething Arab masses
oppressed by their corrupt rulers, bewailed the thousands of civilians
recently massacred by the Arab and Iranian security forces in the streets
of Cairo, Alexandria, Aleppo, Teheran, Manama, Damascus,
Deraa, Latakia, Homs, Amman, Jeddah, Gaza City, Taiz and Sanaa.
"It is simply incomprehensible that these bloodthirsty governments are
committing genocide against their own people," he exclaimed.
As a consequence, his new organization -- Canadians for Boycotting
Arab and Iranian Goods (CBAIG) -- will be demanding that Canadian
importers immediately terminate their contracts for the purchases of
petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, cotton yarn and garments, rugs,
fertilisers, majhool dates, taboule, figs, and sheet metal from these
countries. In addition, all Canadian firms with investments and joint
ventures in these tyrannies, including Atco International, SNC-Lavalin,
Suncor, Bombardier, Caisse Desjardins and the Royal Bank of
Canada, will be pressured to divest their assets from them.
Of equal weight is our campaign for the Harper government to implement
sanctions by halting its arms shipments to the Nazi-like governments of
Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
"We are confident that the international community - and
particularly the Canadian and Quebecois publics - is prepared to support
our initiative until the vicious dictatorships of the Arab Middle East and Iran
are overthrown and their civilian populations are finally endowed with
classical democracy," Lotayef affirmed.
"The welfare of the beleaguered Arab and Iranian people must be our
number one priority," he stated.
The new boycott campaign is supported by the NDP and Vancouver
Caucuses, the Winnipeg Peace Alliance, Stop the War, Canadians
for Justice and Peace in the Middle East, York Federation of
Students, the Tamil National Council of Canada, CUPE Ontario
Section, the Association of Arab Students and Professors in Canada, KAIROS
Canada, the Canadian Postal Workers Union, the League for Iranian
Democracy, the Federation des Enseignants du Quebec as well as dozens of
Pentecostal and United Church of Canada ministers led by Thom Davies of Wesley
Urban Ministries in Hamilton, Ontario.
CBAIG co-founder Karen Devito, the recently-remarried Vancouver socialite,
noted the illegitimate Muslim government leaders of the Middle
East are being targeted by her followers with arrest warrants should they step
foot on Canadian soil or seek asylum here. Under the international law of
universal jurisdiction, war criminals and their genocidal ilk are liable to
arrest upon the issuance of a certification by the Canadian
Security Intelligence Service.
She emphasized that her group's actions were in
complete fulfilment of the treasured Canadian tradition of seeking justice
for suffering humanity. Moreover, it has the complete approval
of her strategic adviser, the world-renowned author Naomi Klein, a veteran
critic of Arab war crimes.
"We must lose no time in bringing Assad and the Iranian
mullahs to the gallows just as Bin Laden and Gaddafi were so quickly
dispatched. These greasy rats must be torn limb from limb," she
stated to tumultuous applause from the demonstrators.

Palestinians in the Hamas and Fatah movements who have immiserated their people

regimes and the implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights and all the Geneva Conventions,'' she posited.
"As for our myriad of friends among the general
public, we sincerely hope they will be moved to embrace the boycott of
Arab and Iranian goods with the objective of liberating the
oppressed Arab masses, " Lotayef and Devito concluded.
CBAIG is also pleased to announce that its founder Ehab Lotayef and
strong supporter, Prof. Diane Lamoureux of Laval University, will shortly
be crossing the Turkish frontier into Syria where they will document for
Canadians the Holocaust naqba that is being inflicted upon
the Palestinians by their Syrian Arab brethren.
Some 3,000 Palestinian children have already been slaughtered and gassed with
the sarin nerve gas agent near Yarmouk, 65,000 adults and their families have
been turned into refugees fleeing to Jordan and Lebanon, while 80 percent of
the total 520,000 Palestinian population has been displaced from their homes.
Horrific barbarism is occurring at 14 concentration camps where Syrian
militias are daily ripping out the intestines of hundreds of Palestinians and
eating their raw livers, kidneys and hearts as reported by Russian President
Vladimir Putin at the recent G-8 Summit.

Bupkis Bernie, Sea Hitler Sandy and self-promoters for whom "Jew" is a résumé item
Going from being a big shot to bupikis affects some people worse than others. Some do it with grace, and others have an excruciating time letting go.
Bernie Farber was, for a very long time, one of Canada's best-known "official Jews." I never met a Jew who ever had the opportunity to elect Farber to speak on their behalf, and most of the ones I know shake their head with shame when he speaks as a "representative of Canada's Jewish community." But since there's no formal qualification for the position other than a few lazy mainstream media sources quoting you as such, he got the job.
Bernie was once head of the now defunct Canadian Jewish Congress. Now he's not.
But that hasn't stopped him from continuing to put himself forward as an official Jew. Now the causes that Bernie is pushing have put him pretty close with some of the reprehensible characters in a hateful anti-Israel movement reviled by almost every Jew in Canada.

Canada`s New Democratic Party has reprehensible Communists sitting in Parliament
Alexandre Boulerice isn`t the only communist hiding behind the `progressive` mask worn by Canada`s so-called New Democratic Party, but he may be the stupidest of the lot.
This is not the first time the fanatic Boulerice has embarrassed Canada`s socialist Opposition party. Last year, as a rookie MP, he endorsed the terroist-enablers on the Sea Hitler Gaza boat who attempted to break Israel`s arms blockade of the Iranian-proxy terror group Hamas. When the support of the new MP for the Quebec riding of Rosemont la Petit-Partie became public, under pressure from NDP leader Thomas Mulcair, Boulerice withdrew his endorsement, but left no doubt about where his sympathies lay.

Writing on a left-wing Quebec blog, New Democrat MP Alexandre Boulerice mocked the conflict as "a purely capitalist war on the backs of the workers and peasants.
"The only ones to have refused this butchery, to have rejected the call of the 'sacred union' within each nation, were communist activists," Boulerice wrote in his 2007 posting on the blog Presse-toi à gauche (Hurry to the left).
Boulerice also sniped at Canadian soldiers involved in the Battle of Vimy Ridge, claiming that "thousands of poor wretches were slaughtered to take possession of a hill." Almost 3,600 Canadians died in the battle to take the strategic Vimy Ridge from the heavily entrenched German forces of Kaiser Wilhelm on April 9, 1917.

Primer for Saturday's Hate Rally in Toronto
The Islamist and totalitarian leftist hatemongers and fanatics who support terrorists whose goal is the destruction of Israel are planning a huge gathering in downtown Toronto this Saturday afternoon. Though a ceasefire was agreed to in the current Israel-Gaza conflict, their hate for Israel and desire to see it annihilated has not subsided and they still plan on spewing their venom on the streets.
The mainstream media, some for laziness, others because of their shallow-minded, politically-correct cultural relativism, will portray the event in a different way than understood anyone who ever has seen the groups involved in action.
Though it will be portrayed in the pages of The Toronto Star and on CBC broadcasts as a pro-Palestine or even an "anti-war" rally, the late essayist and philosopher Christopher Hitchens has these people identified correctly; "in reality, they are straight out pro-war, but on the other side." The other side for the Islamo-fascist/totalitarian left alliance, as we have seen in Toronto in the last few weeks, both at disruptions during Remembrance Day services and in front of the Israeli consulate, is Canada's enemy the Taliban and the terror group Hamas.
The people who will be marching will not be a reflection of normal, civilized Canadian citizenry. They are hatemongers and supporters of totalitarianism. And as they say at the ballpark, you can't tell the players without a program, so here is a primer to some of the more prominent reprobates who are likely to be there:
Zafar Bangash, the Grand Poobah of the York Region Islamic Centre. Bangash is a hatemonger and racist whom, at an anti-Israel rally, called US President Obama "that black man in the White House" and later referred to him in an article as "a perfect Uncle Tom." A hypocrite as well as a hatemonger, Bangash plays footsie with so-called progressive, anti-homophobia groups while also saying that Muslim children should not be taught that homosexuality isn't a sinful lifestyle. Bangash is a paid mouthpiece for the murderous, Iranian regime, having worked with the Iranian government on a laudatory biography of its sadistic dictator, Ayatollah Khomeini.
Bangash is one of the principal leaders of anti-Israel activities in Ontario. Many of the participants at Saturday's hate rally will be bused in from the mosque he leads as well as under the direction of the Shiite organizations with which he is closely involved.
Ali Mallah, another nasty racist and hypocrite. Mallah, like his close associate Zafar Bangash, used racist terminology, calling Muslim reformer Tarek Fatah a "house Negro" while preposterously calling those who oppose his fanaticism "racists." Presenting as simple-minded, thuggish buffoon, he is actually an astute organizer and is the link between Islamist organizations and far left Trotskyite, anti-western groups. He has held or currently holds senior positions in The Canadian Arab Federation (defunded by the federal government for supporting terrorism and anti-Semitism), Palestine House, CUPE, The Canadian Peace Alliance and Alternatives International.
Mallah used his position as a CUPE vice president to suppress union criticism of the Darfur genocide as it would be harmful to the reputation of Muslims and Arabs.

She is a member of the radical pro-Islamist Trotskyite group International Solidarity Movement. Her supporters refer to her as "the Canadian Rachel Corrie" although, unlike her supposed namesake, she has at least demonstrated the minimal level of sanity required to avoid playing chicken with an Israeli military bulldozer. Her efforts are supported by Mallah and a fanatical anti-Israel group with the deceptive name Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East. Bartlett maintains that while Israel does not have the right to defend itself, Palestinians have the right to launch terror attacks which qualify as war crimes because she deems them "resistance."
No One Is Illegal a depraved, Trotskyite group that has been in part funded by the University of Toronto's communist-controlled Ontario Public Interest Research Group. No One Is Illegal opposes any immigration restrictions and has close links with the violent Black Bloc, and shares membership with them.
Palestine House is a Palestinian advocacy organization that lost its federal funding due to its support for terrorism and anti-Semitism. It has been involved in massive immigration fraud.
OCAP - The Ontario Coalition Against Poverty is a radical, violent, anti-capitalist group funded by the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Its leader, John Clarke, has called for class warfare. The group is comprised largely of homeless and mentally ill individuals. OCAP frequently attracts unfortunates with no knowledge of the causes involved to its demonstrations and protests by promising them free food.
Queers Against Israeli Apartheid is an anarchist/Trotskyite organization of Gays who seek Israel's elimination. Many of its membership are psychologically damaged Gay Jews who are venting rejection by their conservative families by seeking destruction of the Jewish state. The group also functions as a rare social outlet for marginalized, unattractive lesbians with few other social venues. Among its members is the author of a notorious anti-Semitic Masters degree thesis produced for the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
Independent Jewish Voices is a group of socially maladroit anti-Israel Jews which was founded by and is largely comprised of 9-11 conspiracy theorists. Many of its members are Marxist academics insecure about being intellectual lightweights. Most of its members are, old, bitter, childless and resentful.
Sandra Ruch is the obese owner of the Canadian Gaza Boat, dubbed by bloggers as The Sea Hitler. She frequently engages in hyperbolic and hysterically over-emotional public tirades. Her behaviour suggests a lonely, insecure person desperate for attention. As a Jew who publicly denounces Israel with the most extreme, preposterous invective, she is able to get that otherwise unattainable notice from Islamist and Marxist groups for whom destruction of the Jewish state is of paramount importance while providing them with the pretense for deniability of their anti-Semitism.

Neutrei Karta is a bizarre Jewish cult of extremist anti-Israel Jews. Due to the small size of the cult,
the membership is frequently inbred, which partially accounts for their freakish appearance. They claim to be pro-Palestinian, but that is disingenuous. Neutrei Karta is a bizarre Jewish cult of extremist anti-Israel Jews. Due to the small size of the cult,the membership is frequently inbred, which partially accounts for their freakish appearance. They claim to be pro-Palestinian, but that is disingenuous. They also claim to be anti-oppression, but the only oppression anywhere they have ever expressed outrage about is that allegedly committed by Israel. The motivation for the cult's anti-Israel activities is a misguided belief that God has prohibited Jews from creating a state in Israel until the arrival of the Messiah. Pointing out the hypocrisy of anti-Israel NDP MP Irene Mathyssen
By Jack Chivo - Two apparently unrelated stories have caught my attention over the past few weeks, but there is a clear thread linking them and other events in the world, which make me wonder. On October 16, Ontario NDP MP, Irene Mathyssen, rose in the House of Commons requesting that the Canadian government protest the refusal of the state of Israel to grant refugee status to thousands of people from Eritrea seeking asylum there.
I would have liked to be told by Mathyssen why she wanted devout Muslims from Eritrea to find a home among the Jews in Israel.
Didn't she learn from the fiery speeches delivered by her NDP colleagues, especially Deputy Leader Libby Davies, that Israel is a racist, xenophobic, and apartheid state, where Muslims are persecuted, discriminated, and treated like second-class citizens?
Wouldn't it be better for the Muslims from Eritrea to settle in one of their many neighbouring countries, like Yemen, Sudan, Egypt, or Kenya—or, more importantly, in the wealthy Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, just across the Red Sea from their shores—where they could share the same religion, culture, habits, and often language, all with a predominantly Muslim local population?

Why is the government handing over $1 Million to the Sea Hitler organizers?
Alternatives International is a Montreal-based non-governmental agency that has been accorded charity status by Revenue Canada. Describing itself as "social and political movements struggling against social injustices, neoliberalism, imperialism and war," their actual charitable work is rather difficult to determine.
One of Alternatives' activities last year was to serve as the financial conduit for the Canadian boat that attempted to break the sea blockade imposed around the Gaza strip by Israel in order to prevent arms smuggling by Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon. That boat, derisively known as The Sea Hitler, was intercepted by Israel's navy after repeated warnings by the Canadian and Israeli governments against sailing to Gaza. (Currently, its Canadian owner, Sandra Ruch, is trying to launch a far-fetched lawsuit to recover the Comoros-registered vessel) .

Whether Alternatives International has violated the regulations for charitable activities by intentionally engaging in activities that place both Canadians and Israelis at risk is an interesting question.
What is more clear is Alternatives' agenda. On its board sits an individual named Ali Mallah. A close confederate of notorious Khomeinist hatemonger Zafar Bangash, Mallah, a burly, perpetually unkempt Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) organizer is a fixture among the most virulent anti-Israel fanatics in Canada. He was the vice president of the Canadian Arab Federation when that organization lost its federal funding after Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney identified it as being anti-Semitic.
Alternatives is currently the conduit for funds for another attempt to break Israel's sea embargo of the terrorist-controlled Gaza strip. This time by trying to launch the boat from Gaza.
The delivery of tax funds to an organization that seems to be engaged in activities designed to undermine Canadian foreign policy goals could be seen as not only wasteful but irresponsible. Newly appointed International Cooperation Minister Julian Fantino, who is now responsible for the Canadian International Development Agency has said he will ensure "that every nickel of taxpayer money is spent for the right reasons." A good way for him to start would be to review federal handouts to Alternatives International and put a stop to the almost three and a half million nickels it receives annually from the federal government.

My evening with bitter fanatics
A seemingly innocuous storefront operation called Beit Zatoun, in downtown Toronto`s funky Mirvish Village, peddles cheap anti-Israel propaganda literature and expensive Palestinian olive oil. A couple of weeks ago, it was the scene of a gathering of grungy fanatics intent on venting their hatred for a democracy surrounded by barbarity.
I was asked to observe by The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC), an organization that advocates for tolerance and provides education about the Holocaust and other examples of the horrors that befall civilization when the basic rules of human behavior break down. I do some work for FSWC on occasion and they wanted me to check out a lecture by Eva Bartlett, a member of the extremist anti-Israel organization, the International Solidarity Movement.
A dismal turnout of about two dozen hard-core anti-Zionists (and I) were the only attendees of the two and a half hours of tedium on June 14th
that had been promoted by the free weekly Toronto newspaper NOW.
With a backdrop of an exhibit called “A Child’s View of Gaza,” a handful of drawings depicting Jews as bloodthirsty killers and Palestinians as innocent victims, Ms Bartlett narrated a slide show that duplicated the message of the artwork. The Canadian Arab Federation’s former President and Vice President Khalled Muammar and Ali Mallah, Sea Hitler Gaza boat hysteric David Heap, anti-Israel zealot Karin Brothers and a smattering of familiar faces from the local anti-Zionist scene made up the whole of the audience. The room resembled a residents’ dietary committee meeting at a geriatric centre but with worse fashion-sense; the average age of the attendees being about 68.
The anti-Israel community in Toronto is relatively small and close-knit, characterized by a paranoia and narcissism which makes for a curious conflict of needs. On one hand they relish attention, but on the other, they deplore being made to look ridiculous, which given what they say and do is a frequent outcome. It was therefore a little amusing and not unexpected when, prior to Bartlett beginning her talk, she and a frumpy, white-haired woman wearing a Canadian Gaza Boat t-shirt gave me the distinction of approaching to ask my identity. I told my name to Bartlett, who is wispy, high-strung and appears to be in her mid 30's,and she further inquired, "are you Blazing Cat Fur?"
Blazing Cat Fur is a conservative, pro-Zionist Toronto blogger who has been responsible for breaking a number of stories about Islamic extremism and abuse of authority by government and unions at the local, provincial and federal levels. A soft-spoken fellow, he does this all on his own time and expense and his work has often attracted international attention, as in the case of the Valley Park Middle School Mosqueteria. That the coterie of kooks at Beit Zatoun would be so intimidated at the possible presence of that lone, mild-mannered, independent citizen journalist tells volumes about their neurotic fear of being deprived of approbation.
The message of Bartlett’s talk was as vicious as it was facile, saying, “all of the problems in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria are because of the Zionists.” The so-called peace activist stated that “violent resistance is legitimate,” while making continual reference to Palestinian “martyrs.” What made this all the more ironic was that the lecture was sponsored by an organization that deceptively calls itself Canadians for Peace and Justice in the Middle East .
Photographs of one Palestinian family after another appeared on the screen with Bartlett describing each as “desperately poor.” These families had two, three, six, eight children or more with most about to expect another soon. Without her realization, Bartlett’s lecture undermined the message she was trying to convey, that Israel is the sole cause of the Palestinians' problems. Any middle class North American family would also be desperately poor if they were to continue to have households of up to a dozen children without the means of supporting them. Bartlett provided the additional example of the family of her husband, a Palestinian from Gaza, who she said had fifteen (15) siblings and also grew up “desperately poor.” This brought to mind the saying of Israel's Prime Minister Golda Meir, that "peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us." The lack of responsibility in producing multitudes of children they cannot properly care for reiterated that in Palestinian society, children are often just another weapon for propaganda and fodder for jihad. With their pathological fixation on Israel being the cause of all the world's ills, such obvious insights eluded Bartlett and her cultish audience.
She blamed the traumatisation of children in Gaza on Israel while not once mentioning Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel or the Palestinians' own traumatisation of their children by encouraging them to hate and be killers and suicide bombers from kindergarten age.
The tragedy of events like Bartlett’s speech, as uninfluential and unimportant as they are, is that by investing all their energies into trying to delegitimize Israel under the guise of peace activism, such people merely entrench lies and polarize fanatics into postures that make achieving peace in the middle east an even more difficult prospect.
An unusual addendum to the evening came about in the question and answer period following Bartlett's presentation in a furious tirade by Sea Hitler organizer David Heap. A pudgy, slovenly-looking man with a double-chinned face and neck perpetually full of stubble suggesting an impersonation of the late Yasser Arafat, were you to see Heap while driving past a street corner, your immediate concern might be that he would try to wipe your windshield with a greasy rag. Like so many of his cohorts, he comes off as unrelentingly bitter and aggrieved.
On this occasion, when considering why the media didn't give nonentities like him and Bartlett more attention, Heap angrily railed against a small but effective organization called Honest Reporting Canada. Run almost single-handed by a thoughtful young man named Mike Fegelman, Honest Reporting Canada (HRC) monitors media for distortions and falsehoods they broadcast about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and publicizes them.
Heap indignantly alleged that Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) reporters had privately told him they would like to do more stories on Palestine, but the focus from HRC had made their editors wary of it. The attention has compelled the CBC to have to apologize and correct a number of erroneous reports. If Heap's account was true, then having to ensure accuracy in their reporting on a subject must have been a daunting enough prospect for the frequently inept news service of Canada's state broadcaster to make them reluctant to approach it.
Thus Heap's confession of frustration at an evening of bias confirmation, like Bartlett's lecture itself, provided an unintended value; not to them, but to others. The truth that emerged from their huddle of self-affirmation and self-congratulation is not of how much they have accomplished, but of how little and how self-discrediting they are in the process.

UPDATE (July 7): Ms Bartlett came across this piece which was graciously recommended by National Post Comment Editor Jonathan Kay. Apparently she became so upset that she took to writing an angry essay about it in an anti-Semitic, 9-11 conspiracist website called deLiberation. It also features writers like Jew haters Greg Felton and Gilad Atzom, lunatic Jihad-advocate Lauren Booth, and a slew of 9-11 conspiracy nuts such as Alan Hart and Martin Iqbal, plus links to the Holocaust-denying site Veterans Today. The approving user comments on her piece equal or surpass in hate and bigotry the sort of things one would expect from the neo-Nazi website Stormfront.
"Peace" activist Bartlett, who is a big fan of the terror group Hezbollah, cites discredited 9-11 conspiracist Richard Falk as a "respected" source along with other equally vapid and dishonest attempts to obfuscate an obvious truth. If the leadership of Gaza would explicitly recognize Israel's right to exist and unequivocally commit to a cessation of violence, there would be peace. But we never hear that from these fake "peace" activists, do we?

Canadian novelist Billie Livingston writes about her godmother, Sea Hitler Skank Karen DeVito
While the portrait Livingston creates of DeVito is sympathetic, like any honest rendition of the pathetic anti-Israel fanatics, it reveals more about their hypocrisy, intellectual deficiencies and emotional pathology than a supposed commitment to justice.
One notable vignette illustrates how despite disingenuous claims about being in danger, among themselves, the "activists" tacitly concede that Israel-bashing is the lazy, cowardly leftists' route to adulation while lying about their heroism and bravado to the media:
It was shortly after we moved in that the boat committee asked her to sail to Gaza. John would stay on land to act as a communications officer.
“You said you wouldn’t!” I hollered, bug-eyed with exasperation.
“Don’t worry, Binky,” she said. “The IDF doesn’t beat up women.”
Perhaps someday, if Ms Devito genuinely cares about social justice and human rights, she might travel to protest about the plight of women, democracy advocates, and minorities in Iran. Of course, that's unlikely since Ms Devito, who appears primarily concerned with trendy self-promotion while decrying relatively minor transgressions committed by a safe liberal democracy, is probably aware of the type of reaction she'd get there.

Brian Topp's top NDP endorser Libby Davies says, "Free the Sea Hitler!"
Libby Davies, a 9-11 conspiracy theorist who is the most vociferously anti-Israel MP in Canada's parliament, wants Prime Minister Stephen Harper to tell Israel to release the impounded Canadian Gaza boat (aka The Sea Hitler).
She is joined by another of the New Democrats' lesser lights, rookie MP Alexandre Boulerice, who had first endorsed the Sea Hitler, but after a word from Thomas Mulcair and the late Jack Layton, cowered away from his earlier position and retracted his endorsement. Now that he, like Davies, has endorsed Brian Topp for the NDP leadership, they apparently have hopes to shift their party to more extremist policies should their candidate emerge the winner in the March 24 leadership contest.
The Sea Hitler boat that attempted to break Israel's arms embargo of Hamas-controlled Gaza.was an attention-seeking, politically-motivated stunt promoted by Canadian groups with close ties to Iranian government interests. Prior to its sailing, the Canadian government explicitly warned the Sea Hitler not to embark on its journey, calling it "a dangerous provocation." The Sea Hitler extremists ignored their government's warning, and their vessel was impounded by the Israeli Navy last November and its occupants deported back to Canada. Gaza's ruling party, Hamas, is an Iranian proxy that is listed as a terrorist organization by the Canadian and US governments, along with those of the European Union, and is committed to the destruction of Israel and the killing of Jews in its founding Charter.

Is the NDP stupid enough to put someone other than Mulcair in charge?
Any question that begins with, "is the NDP stupid enough..?" usually has 'yes' as the answer. But this time, on the question of whether they reject Thomas Mulcair to maintain purist socialist and anti-Western principles that dominate the party, we may see an exception. The New Democratic Party's March 24 leadership convention will reveal the extent of the Canadian far left's will to survive as a political force.
Mulcair has a reputation for being mean-spirited and aggressive. But he is, by leaps and bounds, the most intelligent, robust and capable of the NDP's weak line-up of leadership candidates, with Paul Dewar playing a distant second in the group of also-rans. Unlike the one-time front-runner Brian Topp, who has no legislative experience at all, and was relying on being the anointed choice of most of the late Jack Layton's inner circle, Mulcair has charisma and the ability to engage an audience. That is an ironic turn, since Topp was the head of Canada's actors union. Which just goes to show that those who can, do, and those who can't leech off the union dues of those who can.
The only candidates that have any chance to emerge as leader are Mulcair, Topp, Foreign Affairs Critic Dewar, and Toronto MP Peggy Nash. Other than Mulcair, the remaining three are representatives of the stereotypical ineptness that has prevented most political observers from taking the NDP seriously.
Bob Rae once took the NDP to its pinnacle, leading it to be the governing party in Canada's most populous and prosperous province from 1990 to 1995. The outcome of that was Rae's defection to the Liberal Party upon his experiencing the reality that the NDP is comprised of incompetents unfit to govern. Rae's Ontario cabinet meetings must have resembled Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies, being flanked by dim-witted scoundrels spurring him to wonder aloud, "why must I be surrounded by frickin' idiots?!" At the time, the NDP caucus became known as The Clampetts after the out-of-their depth family from TV`s The Beverly Hillbillies.
Indeed, should Mulcair ascend to the leadership of the national NDP, his first and biggest challenge will be to purge his party`s upper ranks of embarrassments to the party's credibility, like anti-Israel fanatic Libby Davies. Davies humiliated the NDP in 2010 with an impromptu video interview in which she effectively denied the legitimacy of the Jewish state and endorsed the vapid Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment campaign against it. The so-called BDS was recently denounced by one of the leading figures in the anti-Israel movement, Norman Finkelstein, as a `cult` made up of liars whose goal is the destruction of Israel. Yet Davies, who was expressly told not to engage in the Israel issue by Dewar and Jack Layton, evidently has some psychological condition that renders her incapable of inhibiting herself in that subject. Just a few days ago she was billed as a speaker at an event promoting the anti-Israel boycott and lauding the failed Sea Hitler boat mission that attempted to break Israel`s arms embargo of Gaza. But for the NDP, that would be considerably preferable to the alternative of sliding back to the obscurity of being the third party, which would be all but guaranteed under Peggy Nash, who wants to make nice with terrorists from Hezbollah, were she to become the new party leader. The same sorry fate would ensue from a victory by the staggeringly boring Topp, who in addition to having the backing of Libby Davies, just acquired the endorsement of the anti-Semitic, terrorist-supporting Canadian Arab Federation.
Mulcair is the only NDP leadership candidate with credibility in Quebec, which now represents half their caucus. On March 24, the NDP will choose between that credibility along with the chance of being a serious Opposition that Mulcair provides, or by rejecting him, prove that radicalism and bubble-headed stupidity are the only constants of which the New Democrats are capable.
Mulcair has a reputation for being mean-spirited and aggressive. But he is, by leaps and bounds, the most intelligent, robust and capable of the NDP's weak line-up of leadership candidates, with Paul Dewar playing a distant second in the group of also-rans. Unlike the one-time front-runner Brian Topp, who has no legislative experience at all, and was relying on being the anointed choice of most of the late Jack Layton's inner circle, Mulcair has charisma and the ability to engage an audience. That is an ironic turn, since Topp was the head of Canada's actors union. Which just goes to show that those who can, do, and those who can't leech off the union dues of those who can.
The only candidates that have any chance to emerge as leader are Mulcair, Topp, Foreign Affairs Critic Dewar, and Toronto MP Peggy Nash. Other than Mulcair, the remaining three are representatives of the stereotypical ineptness that has prevented most political observers from taking the NDP seriously.
Bob Rae once took the NDP to its pinnacle, leading it to be the governing party in Canada's most populous and prosperous province from 1990 to 1995. The outcome of that was Rae's defection to the Liberal Party upon his experiencing the reality that the NDP is comprised of incompetents unfit to govern. Rae's Ontario cabinet meetings must have resembled Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies, being flanked by dim-witted scoundrels spurring him to wonder aloud, "why must I be surrounded by frickin' idiots?!" At the time, the NDP caucus became known as The Clampetts after the out-of-their depth family from TV`s The Beverly Hillbillies.
Indeed, should Mulcair ascend to the leadership of the national NDP, his first and biggest challenge will be to purge his party`s upper ranks of embarrassments to the party's credibility, like anti-Israel fanatic Libby Davies. Davies humiliated the NDP in 2010 with an impromptu video interview in which she effectively denied the legitimacy of the Jewish state and endorsed the vapid Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment campaign against it. The so-called BDS was recently denounced by one of the leading figures in the anti-Israel movement, Norman Finkelstein, as a `cult` made up of liars whose goal is the destruction of Israel. Yet Davies, who was expressly told not to engage in the Israel issue by Dewar and Jack Layton, evidently has some psychological condition that renders her incapable of inhibiting herself in that subject. Just a few days ago she was billed as a speaker at an event promoting the anti-Israel boycott and lauding the failed Sea Hitler boat mission that attempted to break Israel`s arms embargo of Gaza. Children's singer Raffi continues his crusade for the wussification of Canada's national sport
Raffi Cavoukian may be prepared to metaphorically pull down his pants, bend over and put a welcome sign on his posterior for the enemies of democracy and individual liberty. That seems clear from his support for the "Friends of Hamas" who launched the Sea Hitler Gaza boat that insulted the principles of this country by carrying a Canadian flag on its terror-enabling journey.
But what's really irritating is that he is on a crusade to wussify Canada's national sport and vilify Don Cherry. It seems that Cavoukian is just as perturbed by Cherry's vocal support for Canadian troops in Afghanistan as he is for the colorful, popular, bombastic commentator's recognition that fighting is a traditional part of Canadian professional hockey.
In a new article in the fanatical, neo-Marxist online media platform rabble.ca, Cavoukian betrays a distaste for Canadian traditions while attempting to impose his own ideologies as those of the entire nation:
In his opposition to deterrents to bad behaviour, at least Cavoukian is consistent. His support for the Sea Hitler terror-enablers demonstrates that he doesn't like anyone being able to protect themselves from slimy, vicious ,ongoing low scale-attacks. Of course that's just a guess. Who knows what goes on in Cavoukian's mind?
Indeed, one of the things that is a frustration for the parents of young children is that the constant exposure to juvenile literature and music, be it Goodnight Moon, or Barney the Dinosaur, or Sesame |Street while stimulating for young children, is intellectually numbing for adults. One of the great joys of seeing your children grow is watching their intellectual development as their reading and musical tastes expand to more intricate ideas like those imagined by the likes of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien or the Beatles and Harry Nilsson.
Cavoukian, who I understand has no children of his own, has devoted his life to performing for kids, give or take a couple of years, of the age of five. That obsessive focus could account for an intellectual stagnation that suggests he thinks Canadian history began with the election of Pierre Trudeau.

Talentless singer obsessed with pre-pubescent children attacks Canadian institution
Raffi Cavoukian, who has devoted his adult life to performing for an audience that becomes too sophisticated for him by the time the reach the age of 7, has decided to pour his energies into vilifying Canadian hockey institution Don Cherry.
It seems Cherry's legendary enthusiasm was too much to bear for the wussy, horrible children's music singer and new spokesman of the totalitarian far-left.
Says Cavoukian of Cherry, “He sounds and acts like a bully. That’s not fun and it’s not a good example for the kids who are watching...In this day and age of all the hockey violence, we should be putting a stop to this...there’s absolutely no call for this guy to demean anybody who isn’t into the violence. That’s just really stupid on any level...his act is uncivil and doesn’t belong on our public broadcaster.”
The Cairo-born Cavoukian has called for the censorship of Cherry. Just so this can be put in context, Cavoukian was an endorser of the Sea Hitler Canadian Gaza boat, an effort of the sort the late Christopher Hitchens said would be more accurately described were they to call themselves "Canadian Friends of Hamas."
In addition to being an enabler of terror supporters, Cavoukian has tied himself to the radical, hateful wing of the New Democratic Party.
The best indication of Cavoukian's profound thinking abilities is his endorsement of the vapid Occupy movement, which despises government while at the same time wanting it to expand and assume responsibilities for everyone's life.
Cherry likes hockey violence and Cavoukian doesn't. So Cavoukian's answer is censorship. Cavoukian better hope that censorship isn't expanded to talentless hacks who offend the musical sensibilities of anyone who has outlived kindergarten.

Who really benefits from the "Occupy" movement in Canada?
Bedraggled protesters ranging from a couple dozen to a couple hundred, have created grotesque, squalid parodies of civilization in the hearts of a few of Canada's major cities and refer to themselves as an "Occupy Movement." While these mostly incoherent malcontents with an extensive laundry list of personal grievances are only a miniscule percentage of Canada's population, they claim to represent "the people." If that claim sounds familiar, it's because you've heard it historically from every politburo in every totalitarian Marxist regime.
Among the many logical inconsistencies and paradoxes voiced by The Occupation is their disdain for our government while at the same time calling for more regulation, the imposition of more taxes, and the provision of more public services that could only be achieved by the expansion of government.
That too may sound familiar. Who is it that we know who are continually at loggerheads with the government, yet whose survival depends on an ever growing bureaucracy and more intrusiveness of the public sector into private lives?
The leadership of Public Sector unions rely on their funding from the growth of their membership and the entrenchment of administrative inertia. The equation is simple, the more civil service jobs, the more union dues to go to funding the political projects and perks of the union bosses. Be it funding for radical activists giving tacit support to the terrorists of Hamas, as the Canadian Union of Postal Workers did with its support of the Canadian Gaza Boat (The Sea Hitler), or the Canadian Union of Public Employees sending its leaders on junkets to show solidarity with the Cuban Revolution of Fidel Castro, or cash for pro-Marxist media outlets like rabble.ca as is provided by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), the dues paid by public servants are being siphoned off by union bosses to promote their own anti-capitalist vision.
That's why these same public service unions are actively taking union funds to promote, support and keep The Occupation going for as long as it can. That's why, whenever the tiny band of Occupiers decide to take a jaunt to City Hall for a mobile protest, though their numbers remain relatively tiny, they are swelled by union flag waving public sector drones. In fact, without union support, like OPSEU's provision of porta-potties and meals to Occupy Toronto, some of these downtown squats would have decamped a long time ago.
In the end, the physical damage and policing expenses which are incurring hundreds of thousands of dollars of costs, that will have to be covered by the taxpayers, are happening because your public sector unions wanted it. In that sense, even if, as is likely, they accomplish nothing politically from the Occupy Movement, the dues they'll collect from the overtime paid to public employees who will have to clean up the mess made by the urban campers will justify the unions' financial investment, even if there is no moral justification.

Breaking: Sea Hitler taken down by Israeli Navy

Well, the stooges on the Sea Hitler finally got what they wanted so desperately; attention and a free trip to Israel.
Their half-baked trip to Gaza was never about humanitarian aid. Gaza has no food shortages, they have luxury hotels and malls and one of the highest obesity rates in the world. The pathetic attention-seekers who became hysterical at their failed attempt to leave Greece to breach Israel's Gaza blockade were upset for a single reason then. They wanted to become heroes within their brain-dead activist circles by standing up to the "evil" Israelis, knowing full well they were taking no real risk in doing so. But it isn't so heroic to be embarrassed by the Greek Coast Guard.
So they set out again in their longing to be able to be lauded by their idiot friends. Soon they'll be doing the activist tour circuit, like the pathetic Kevin Neish. Have they convinced anyone of anything?
Doubtful.
They people who pay attention to them have already swallowed the facile propaganda put out by the terror enablers and dupes of Iranian interests in the West. But this exercise was never about human rights. It was about narcissism and the over-fed Sea Hitler crew now have more of that in which to wallow.

The Canadian Sea Hitler boat along with an Irish yacht attempting to break Israel's arms blockade of Gaza have been intercepted by the Israeli Navy. Evidently, communications with the Irish boat are cut off and the Sea Hitler crew are waving signs at the Israelis saying "If you board us, you are pirates." Which is more or less the equivalent of someone breaking into your house wearing a t-shirt that says, "if you stop me, you're violating my right to rob you."
