The condescending leftist view of Palestinians as subhuman

The article by Alan Johnson in The Telegraph generously suggests that leftist apologists for Palestinian terrorism and intransigence effectively treat them as children. But the truth is that it's worse than that. By dismissing vile terrorism as endemic to their nature and condition, western liberals essentially consider Palestinians as subhumans who are incapable of anything but savagery.

The jubilant reaction of many Palestinians to the kidnapping of three Israeli teenage boys has been met in the West with a bit of a shrug. The official daily PA newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida has published cartoons mocking the three students and celebrating their capture. The Fatah Facebook page featured a cartoon of three rats dangling from a line.Sweets have been handed out on the streets (a traditional gesture of joy and celebration). Many children have been photographed by their parents, holding up three fingers and smiling. An internet campaign gathers pace and “popular support for the abduction has continued to proliferate on Palestinian social media” according to the journalist Elhanan Miller. Hamas, of course, is exultant. Yes, Abu Mazen has condemned the kidnap and there have been some brave Palestinian voices raised in defence of the three youngsters, but their voices are isolated; Palestinians calling for the return of the three students have been threatened.
And yet, despite all this whooping and cheering about the trauma and possible death of Naftali Fraenkel and Gilad Shaar, both 16, and Eyal Yifrach, 19, the Palestinians will likely pay a very small price in the international community or global public opinion. Why?
In part, because an anti-Zionist mindset that has taken root in the West, and at its heart is unexamined assumption – that Israelis and Palestinians are different kinds of people. Israelis have agency, responsibility and choice, Palestinians do not. In short, the world treats the Palestinians as children...

Canadian Jihadist warns of coming terror attacks in Toronto and Calgary

Extolling the recently killed Canadian terrorist Salman Ashrafi, a jihadist warns of impending terror attacks against Toronto and Calgary. Ashrafi had been heavily involved in his chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood front group, the Muslim Student Association, which has branches at every major university in Canada.

"...it is only a matter of time that the aftershocks of a cluster bomb dropped on the innocent villagers in Afghanistan or a “signature” strike on the innocent civilians in the tribal areas of Pakistan will be felt heavily somewhere in Toronto or Calgary."

Matt Ridley: IPCC commissioned models to see if global warming would reach dangerous levels this century. Consensus is ‘no’

"Even if you pile crazy assumption upon crazy assumption, you cannot even manage to make climate change cause minor damage

The debate over climate change is horribly polarized. From the way it is conducted, you would think that only two positions are possible: that the whole thing is a hoax or that catastrophe is inevitable. In fact there is room for lots of intermediate positions, including the view I hold, which is that man-made climate change is real but not likely to do much harm, let alone prove to be the greatest crisis facing humankind this century.

After more than 25 years reporting and commenting on this topic for various media organizations, and having started out alarmed, that’s where I have ended up. But it is not just I that hold this view. I share it with a very large international organization, sponsored by the United Nations and supported by virtually all the world’s governments: the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) itself..."

Christopher Monckton made Toronto's Global Warming cultists have a hissy fit

Renowned for innovation, Moses Znaimer has never been afraid of hearing out ideas that run against the stream. So in character, one of the presenters Znaimer chose for his IdeaCity gathering currently happening on the cusp of Toronto's Annex neighborhood was the cantankerous and convincing Christopher Monckton. The United Kingdom Independence Party's chief spokesman on Climate Change, Monckton is one of the most prominent challengers of the prevailing Global Warming hysteria that embodies the current zeitgeist.

As many who have actually studied the issue know, the data on global warming provides, at the very least, ample ground for skepticism that current weather trends spell the end of life on earth as we know it. But with the media, the majority of the political class, and pop-figures like David Suzuki pushing junk science to the masses, a Global Warming cult has emerged that exhibits all the fanatical devotion that you would have found littered among the corpses at Jonestown. For them, anthropogenic Global Warming is a fact which can tolerate no challenge. It is, in the words of no less a personage than Barack Hussein Obama, "settled science," a term which, as Charles Krauthammer, who is a physician and psychiatrist noted, flouts the basic principles of genuine science. Tellingly, the Global Warming cult's response to Krauthammer's stating that was an attempt to launch an inquisition against him and have him censored.

Using cruel, eloquent sarcasm and biting wit, Monckton mocked the Global Warming cult at sheep who are caught up is a mass of groupthink. He backed it up with fact, such as that despite predictions and models from the International Panel on Climate Change that proved to be wrong, there has been no global warming for the last eighteen years. Monckton cited evidence that suggests that the environmental and economic methods being employed to fight global warming are actually causing more deaths than global warming ever will.

The reality of the science on Global Warming is that there are differing theories of the extent and what will be the outcome of mankind's effect on the environment. Not that most people know that, since huge swaths of the political class, mainstream media and even, as Monckton pointed out, scientific journals have colluded to bully and censor any dissenting opinions into silence.

The normally polite crowd at Znaimer's IdeaCity reflected that. While the responses to presenters can be noted by varied degrees of enthusiasm, something happened during Monckton's presentation that I've never observed at one of the Idea City presentations before. At various times, Monckton was actually hissed at by much of the downtown Toronto "progressive" crowd at IdeaCity, who felt threatened as their dogmatic beliefs were being challenged and ridiculed.

But there was another sceptic listening to Monckton who gave a strong indication that people are beginning to see through the hysteria of the Global Warming cult and its high priests like Al Gore and Suzuki who profit handsomely from the sale of their liturgic snake oil. Following Monckton's presentation, IdeaCity's host Moses Znaimer said that he sensed that the tide was turning about the belief in Global Warming and realizing that there are compelling facts to indicate, as has happened throughout the history of science, that what is now the majority belief may indeed be wrong.

Iran’s ‘anti-Canada rhetoric’ has officials on guard for possible Ottawa area terror attacks

Noting Iran’s rising “anti-Canada rhetoric,” intelligence officials have been monitoring the Islamic republic as a potential terrorist threat to the Ottawa area, newly declassified documents show.
While the diplomatic falling out between Ottawa and Tehran is well-known, the intelligence reports are the first indication the Canadian government is tracking the possibility it could lead to terrorism in the capital.
The reports, written by the Integrated Terrorist Assessment Centre, do not specify the exact nature of the threat Tehran may pose to the Ottawa region but in the past Iran has used its proxy force, Hezbollah, to attempt attacks internationally.

George Galloway, the repugnant Iranian lackey and terrorist-funder occupying a seat in the UK's House of Commons, has previously implicitly threatened terror attacks against Canada on Hezbollah's behalf. (Listen to the video below from the 5:36 point.)

Media whores, lies, and prostitutes

...One of the last thrills still permitted us normal folks (for now) is getting to watch one of these self-appointed activists and advocates endure an Icarian tumble. Take that recent Newsweek exposé of secular saint and “sex work” abolitionist Somaly Mam.
No, I’d never heard of her before, either. I didn’t realize how far removed I was from what the authorities have deemed reality until I read that, among other things, this woman had been feted by the White House and the State Department, appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, made the “TIME 100” list, and declared one of Glamour’s “Women of the Year.” Plus she’d been named one of the “Women Who Shake the World” by, er, Newsweek.
Cambodian-born Somaly Mam began making claims she’d been sold into sexual slavery as a youngster. After a daring escape, she dedicated her life to rescuing other girls from the same fate, leading armed raids on brothels, then providing shelter, education, and vocational training to the former captives—with the help of Western donors, many of them celebrities.

"Peace Partners" or Ghoulish Monsters part 2: Palestinian Authority mocks kidnapped Jewish teens as "rats"

The official Facebook page of Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party has posted a cartoon comparing the three kidnapped Israeli students to rats.

The post on the "Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah" / Central Page" shows three rats with Stars of David dangling from a fishing rod, accompanied by an Arabic caption in red reading "A Master Stroke"; its implications are unmistakable.

US Secretary of State Kerry seeks cooperation with the world's leading sponsor of terrorism

A number of outlets are reporting that Secretary of State John Kerry is opening talks on security cooperation with Iran, which is world's biggest state-sponsor of international terrorism.

For Example, at the Los Angeles Times, "U.S. may join Iran in effort to resolve crisis in Iraq"; at Politico, "John Kerry: U.S. open to talks with Iran over Iraq"; and the Wall Street Journal, "Iraq Loses Key City, as U.S. 'Open' to Iran Talks on Crisis."

It boggles the mind that the Obama administration would be seeking an entente with our greatest enemy in the region, or perhaps not, since the president and his treasonous cronies have been scheming to reduce U.S. global power from their first day in office.

Here's National Journal's report from 2011, "Record Number of U.S. Troops Killed by Iranian Weapons":
U.S. military commanders in Iraq say Iranian-made weaponry is killing American troops there at an unprecedented pace, posing new dangers to the remaining forces and highlighting Tehran’s intensifying push to gain influence over post-U.S. Iraq.

Czech president Miloš Zeman refuses to back down on linking Islam with violence

As well as being bluntly honest, the Czech president evidently has a sense of humor:
Czech president Miloš Zeman, via his spokesman, stood by a speech made at the Israeli Embassy in Prague, where he quoted the Koran calling for Muslims to kill Jews, refusing to retract what he said or apologize for quoting from the holy book.
Czech media reported spokesman Jiří Ovčáček’s statement saying that Zeman would not be apologizing for his statements in which he linked Islamic ideology with violence.
“President Zeman definitely does not intend to apologize,” the spokesman said. “For the president would consider it blasphemy to apologize for the quotation of a sacred Islamic text.”

TEWKSBURY (CBS) – A 20-year-old woman has been charged with prostitution at the Tewksbury Public Library.
Police say they got a tip Tuesday that someone was soliciting sex in the library, so they sent in an undercover officer.
The plain clothes detective claimed Brittany Macintyre of Nashua, New Hampshire approached him immediately and handed him a pen and a piece of paper.

Bipartisan letter from US Senate warns of potential cut-off of aid to Palestinians

WASHINGTON -- The US Senate sent a united message of "grave concern" to US President Barack Obama on Thursday regarding the formation of a reconciliation government between Fatah and Hamas, and what the move might require of Congress in determining future US aid to the Palestinians.
88 senators from across party lines signed the letter sent to the White House, written by Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Susan Collins (R-ME), which warns the new PA unity effort might "jeopardize direct negotiations with Israel to achieve a two-state solution."
"The recent formation of a Palestinian Authority unity government supported by Hamas, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization that has never publicly accepted the Quartet principles, represents a serious setback to efforts to achieve peace," the senators wrote.
Citing recent appropriations law, which calls for an end to assistance to the PA should Hamas share power in the government or exert "undue influence" over its government, the Senate said the law is clear and warned the president that the chamber would reconsider future aid.
"Any assistance should only be provided when we have confidence that this new government is in full compliance with the restrictions contained in current law," the letter reads.

Simply being Roma from Hungary is not proof of persecution, refugee judge rules

The Federal Court of Canada has rejected the refugee claim of a Hungarian man of Roma background by dismissing the portrayal of sweeping, generalized persecution against the Roma in his homeland.
The man’s credibility was also questioned over his reliance on a variation of a classic excuse: his dog ate his cellphone.
The case of Mario Gyula Varga is the latest clash over Canada’s reception of the diasporic Roma.
“What does it take to be a refugee? Is it enough to simply prove that one is a Hungarian Roma? Mr. Varga’s counsel came perilously close to making that submission,” Justice Sean Harrington began his stern ruling.
“It seems to me that [Mr. Varga’s lawyer’s] submission is that the only reasonable assessment of country conditions in Hungary is that each and every one of its 200,000 to 500,000 citizens of Roma background has a well-founded fear of persecution for reasons of race, and that on the balance of probabilities, each and every one’s life is at personal risk, or that each and every one is at risk of cruel and unusual treatment or punishment.
“If it be so, then Hungary is a failed state. Yet it is not,” Justice Harrington wrote in his ruling last week.

Scandal-Plagued Toronto District School Board Chair resigns

...Fellow trustee and supporter Sheila Cary-Meagher believes Bolton was driven out by a recent onslaught of criticism and negative emails from a faction of trustees who have a personal vendetta against him.
“I don’t like the sense that he’s being driven out,” she said. “There’s been a very powerful, constant pressure on him, criticism and pressure — it’s been a bit of a witch hunt and for me, unprecedented. I’ve never seen anything like this before.
“I think he might just have gotten tired of the constant, aggressive criticism of his behaviour — of his existence — and it’s unfortunate because he’s been an extremely good chair,” she added, noting he was re-elected as chair three times.
Director of Education Donna Quan said Bolton called her at 7 a.m. Friday and that it was “a very painful” two hours as they discussed his resignation after four decades as teacher, principal, trustee and chair.
“I said, ‘Is this the right time?’ And he said there is really no good or no bad time to make a personal move,” Quan said, and leaving before the final board meeting on June 18 gives trustees a chance to determine how to handle his departure...
Now if only we could get rid of everyone above the Superintendent level at the TDSB, we might get a half-decent public school system.

Below is the letter Bolton sent to his ward email list:
