The reprehensible organization with the deceptive name "Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East" has uninvited Green Party Leader Elizabeth May to be a keynote speaker at its fundraising dinner later this week. Following the release of a transcript of her interview with The Jewish Tribune's Joanne Hill, it turns out May was, as blogger BlazingCatFur put it, "not Jew-hatey enough."
In the coverage of the event that tells what actually happened, Jonathan Halevi who speaks Arabic, reports:
Tharwat Muhammad Anwar Nafi’ (ثروت محمد انور نافع), a member of the dissolved Egyptian Upper house, the Shura Council, also attended the protest. In his fiery speech he argued that Israel and the US are behind the military coup and the turmoil in the Middle East.
Here’s an excerpt of his speech: “The Egyptian armed forces, designated to protect the people, are now carrying out massacres in Egypt under the auspices of Israel and USA. What happened in Egypt and what is happening in all Arab states is being done under the auspices of the Zionists and Americans to crack down on any possible democracy or any democratic thinking in the Middle East.”
On a mini tour of Canadian cities Calgary and Toronto last Wednesday and Thursday, John Bolton, America's former Ambassador to the UN spoke of dire consequences for America's position in the world if Barack Obama is elected to a second term.
"It's not American strength but American weakness that our enemies find provocative," warned Bolton, a current adviser to Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Barack Obama is the first US president in history to effectively renounce American exceptionalism, a term first described by the Frenchman Alexis de Tocqueville. The desire to be liked seems foremost in Obama's foreign policy goals, but Bolton observed it's easy to get one's adversaries to like you if you make concessions to them. Obama is a president who is happy to make concessions to Russia and China who have both stymied American interests repeatedly under his presidency. They have blocked sanctions against Iran and Syria and have provided diplomatic cover for North Korea.
Regarding the Iranian push to acquire a nuclear weapon, were Obama to be reelected, that would be a near certainty. Sanctions may be hurting Iran`s economy, but they are having no affect on its nuclear program and military action or regime change there is the only way of preventing their getting a nuclear bomb.
Iran`s largest embassy in the world is in Venezuela, not because of long-standing cultural ties, as Bolton noted, but because the authoritarian regime of Iranian ally Hugo Chavez is helping Iran launder oil money to circumvent international banking sanctions.
American military strength is at its weakest since Jimmy Carter, whose policies Obama has been increasingly replicating. If Bolton is correct, an unhindered Obama, who was disclosed to have promised Russian President Medvedev that he would have ` more flexibility` to make further concessions and weaken American missile defenses in a second term, would lead the United States down a disastrous path given the opportunity.
The Muslim Council of
Calgary (MCC) is behind the website Muslims of Calgary.
Its "Ask the Imam" section had a lengthy response on how to raise children in western countries like Canada. The response included such helpful tips as:
"You should instill a
hatred for this culture and its ways in the hearts of your children"
"No matter how great the corruption in Muslim countries,
it cannot compare to the kufr and permissiveness that exists in the west,
except in a few rare cases."
"It is haraam for you
to give your children free rein in forming friendships with the children of the
kuffaar."
"It is not permissible
for you to look forward to dilute the rulings of Islam and to make compromises
in order to please the west and its people ... You see how the followers of
deviant ideas and perversions feel proud of their principles and ideas and
proclaim them openly with no embarrassment. "
Combined with the exposure of Toronto's East End Madrassa teaching hatred of Jews as part of its curriculum, and the Toronto District School Board's embrace of race-huckster Tim Wise's racialist garbage, highlight the need of a review of the hate and idiocy being taught in schools across Canada.
