Ontario Elementary School Teachers' Union endorses OISE's pro-Communist, pro-class warfare calendar

The blog Socialist Studies reports that the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario  is pushing the `Social Justice` Calendar produced by the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).

The so-called Social Justice they are pushing includes celebrating the totalitarian mass-murderers Che Guevara and violent, mentally-unbalanced thugs operating within deranged activist groups that promote the concept of class warfare, like the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (OCAP) and No One is Illegal.

This week in deranged evil from the Toronto District School Board

The blog Socialist Studies is keeping an eye on the appalling abuses that routinely occur in Toronto's tax-funded public school system.

This week alone, the items include:

This is all just the tip of the iceberg and is part of a huge file that suggests the leadership of the Toronto District School Board should be purged immediately. If the Ontario Public School System system and curriculum are not completely overhauled, these types of travesties will continue and get worse.

Toronto District School Board paying for pro-Communist, pro-totalitarian, anti-Israel indoctrination at "The Student School"

The Student School is one of the Toronto District School Board's alternative schools.

Apparently its curriculum is designed to offer an alternative to reason and sanity by promoting fanaticism and bigotry in the guise of activism.

The blog Socialist Studies has details on the school's advocacy of the murderous, Communist totalitarian, Che Guevara, its one-sided, fanatical anti-Israel proselytising, its promotion of the fakery of Idle No More, and of the authoritarian, Communist regime of Hugo Chavez. Plus its links to violent anarchists who are fixtures of Toronto's professional protester scene.

All paid for by your tax dollars.

UNESCO’s Grotesque Embrace of Che Guevara

With an impeccable instinct for venerating murderous thugs, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has now added to its Memory of the World Register the writings of Cuba’s Ernesto “Che” Guevara. That means that the documents generated by Che during his bloody career will now be treated as historical treasures, protected and cared for with the help of UNESCO. What’s next? The teachings of Stalin and Pol Pot?

Toronto District School Board's partners OCAP hold "F*ck the Police" march

[ UPDATE: Apparently the headline should be "Some leaders and plenty of members of TDSB partner OCAP hold Fuck the Police March" ]

The appalling behavior and language from the mentally unbalanced fanatics at the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (OCAP) during their "Fuck the Police March" last week is typical of that group. Carrying flags honoring Cuabn mass-murderer Che Guevara, they converged on Toronto's Police Headquarters where, ironically, the police protected them from oncoming traffic as the radicals hurled fowl-mouthed invective at the people whose responsibility is law enforcement.

Notable about this is that slow-witted leadership of the Toronto District School Board thinks it is appropriate to partner with the violent, radical OCAP and give them access to school children.

OCAP plans to gather at Toronto City Hall to harass the Community Development and Recreation Committee on Monday morning at 9 am. That may prove amusing.

Your chance to tell the Toronto District School Board where to stick their social engineering policies

When civic officials hold Community Consultations, the process is often misleading and disingenuous. Bureaucrats have spent many hours and a lot of expense in formulating policies and proposals that reflect their goals. "Community Consultations" usually only occur after that work has been done and frequently are there to give the false impression that they are paying attention to what the public wants. But the result is that they only hear those comments that validate their pre-formed plans and discard the rest.

But politicians and government apparatchiks are sensitive to opinion, if only in self-interest and in the face of overwhelming public outcry will sometimes alter their grand visions for the sake of their careers.

Which is why as many people as possible who are concerned about the direction public education is veering should attend the Toronto District School Board consultation meetings coming up next week and later in the month.

The TDSB is soliciting public input on their "K-12 strategy" and many people following the news about public schools have been alarmed at how their strategy so far has included celebrating communist, totalitarian mass-murderers, encouraging teens to develop relationships by inserting vegetables in their anuses, encouraging transvestism and converting school space into gender-segregated mosques. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. From the educrats perspective, schools are as much a place for social engineering as they are for education. A Marxist-informed curriculum featuring a very particular and peculiar concept of "social justice" characterizes your children's daily experience and that should be a cause of grave concern.

The next public consultation is on Tuesday, November 13, 7 PM,  at Central Technical School for those people who live in Toronto's downtown Ward 10.

Other consultation dates and locations can be found at this TDSB web page.

The TBSB wants to expand its involvement with community organizations. So far, that sort of involvement has included sending kids to tag along with the violent anti-capitalist group the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, an organization that calls for class warfare. It also includes sending children who have no real concept of the issues involved to protest against the Keystone pipeline.

For those who cannot be there in person, make sure you give the TDSB your input through this questionnaire.

Mercedes-Benz uses mass murderer to sell cars

Mercedes-Benz's parent company Daimler AG, pissed off its Cuban-American buyers with an incredibly stupid marketing blunder at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show.

Dieter Zetsche, Chairman, was there to talk about a cool new Iphone car-pooling app called 'Cartogether', but as part of the presentation he stood in front of a huge poster of Che Guevara wearing his iconic beret not with the customary small star, but rather the Mercedes logo in its place...

Oh, I don't know what everyone's getting so worked up about. Mercedez could do a whole new campaign along the lines of:  Mercedes - a killer ride

All the cool mass murderers know the smoothest ride

Killer Chic: Hollywood's Sick Love Affair with Che Guevara

From Reason TV:

"Gisele Bundchen wears him on the runway, Johnny Depp wears him around his neck, and Benicio Del Toro becomes him in the new, highly acclaimed, two-part epic film from Steven Soderbergh, Che. Ernesto "Che" Guevara, the revolutionary who helped found communist Cuba, is the celebrity that celebrities adore. And be it Madonna, Rage Against the Machine, or Jay-Z, musicians really dig Che.

It’s something that baffles Cuban jazz legend Paquito D’Rivera. “Che hated artists, so how is it possible that artists still today support the image of Che Guevara?” Turns out the rebellious icon that emblazons countless T-shirts actually enforced aesthetic and political conformity. D’Rivera explains that Che and other Cuban authorities sought to ban rock and roll and jazz.

“Che was an inspiration for me,” D’Rivera tells reason.tv. “I thought I have to get out of this island as soon as I can, because I am in the wrong place at the wrong time!” D’Rivera did escape Cuba, and so far he’s won nine Grammy awards playing the kind of music Che tried to silence. But D’Rivera says Che’s crimes didn’t end with censorship. “He ordered the execution of many people with no trial.” Che served as Castro’s chief executioner, presiding over the infamous La Cabana prison. D’Rivera says Che’s policy of killing innocents earned him the nickname—the Butcher of La Cabana..."
