Anarchist nutcases and registered charities decide to harass Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne at home

It's one thing to criticize a politician.

It's another entirely to show up en masse at their home and harass them and their entire neighborhood.

Kathleen Wynne may not be a very good Premier, but she's not Hitler. She's not even Kim Jong Il, though I've sarcastically made North Korean dictator references to her.

I'd like to see see her voted out next election, but harassing her at home is beyond the pale.

It's also standard procedure for the cretins at the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, No One Is Illegal and a variety of other fanatical Marxist and anarchist groups whose membership is quite literally, and liberally, peppered with people who have severe mental illness.

Disgracefully, they were joined by some groups that have charitable status. Hopefully, they will be among the ones that the government has proposed to review.

Last Saturday was the “Rally For Rights And Democracy” in Toronto. It was organized by the Ontario Federation of Labour- Sid Ryan was the major star of the day. The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) had a major presence, as did the Steelworkers, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), teacher’s unions, and the notorious Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (OCAP).

Most of the people were decent folk, union members who flocked together to defend their (enviable) privilege.

Nutcase anti-Capitalist group OCAP feeling pressure from a blogger

Greg's blog is GenuineWitty, where after having been intimately involved with the Occupy Protest, he started exposing how it had been usurped by the Old Left and Union interests, just like the ones that provide funding to The Ontario Coalition Against Poverty. They didn't like that.

Trying to get someone who is peacefully, quietly observing, kicked out of a public park during a public demonstration shows the moronic, totalitarian attitude of OCAP and similar anti-Capitalist idiots.

When civic officials hold Community Consultations, the process is often misleading and disingenuous. Bureaucrats have spent many hours and a lot of expense in formulating policies and proposals that reflect their goals. "Community Consultations" usually only occur after that work has been done and frequently are there to give the false impression that they are paying attention to what the public wants. But the result is that they only hear those comments that validate their pre-formed plans and discard the rest.

But politicians and government apparatchiks are sensitive to opinion, if only in self-interest and in the face of overwhelming public outcry will sometimes alter their grand visions for the sake of their careers.

Which is why as many people as possible who are concerned about the direction public education is veering should attend the Toronto District School Board consultation meetings coming up next week and later in the month.

The TDSB is soliciting public input on their "K-12 strategy" and many people following the news about public schools have been alarmed at how their strategy so far has included celebrating communist, totalitarian mass-murderers, encouraging teens to develop relationships by inserting vegetables in their anuses, encouraging transvestism and converting school space into gender-segregated mosques. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. From the educrats perspective, schools are as much a place for social engineering as they are for education. A Marxist-informed curriculum featuring a very particular and peculiar concept of "social justice" characterizes your children's daily experience and that should be a cause of grave concern.

The next public consultation is on Tuesday, November 13, 7 PM,  at Central Technical School for those people who live in Toronto's downtown Ward 10.

The TBSB wants to expand its involvement with community organizations. So far, that sort of involvement has included sending kids to tag along with the violent anti-capitalist group the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, an organization that calls for class warfare. It also includes sending children who have no real concept of the issues involved to protest against the Keystone pipeline.

For those who cannot be there in person, make sure you give the TDSB your input through this questionnaire.

News Flash: Occupy Toronto filled with mentally ill people who show incredibly bad judgement

It's no secret that the "Occupy Toronto" encampment at St. James Park is largely populated by mentally ill people that are being manipulated by the fanatics of the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty and their Union financiers.

But what is curious is the extent of this manipulation and the terrible judgement being demonstrated by both the occupants and those who pretend to be concerned for their well-being.

The muddy, cold exposure of the environment at Occupy Toronto is not one of respite. Imagine an outdoor asylum run by lunatics and that is what you'll find in St. James Park.

A reporter for rabble.ca, a radical neo-Marxist propaganda website which is heavily invested in the "Occupation movement," interviewed a few of the squatters. These types of interviews are particularly revealing because the subjects disclose a lot more to people they perceive as being sympathetic than they do to people in the established mainstream media .

Katie Toth wrote for rabble.ca describing the accounts of  some of Occupy Toronto's people with serious psychiatric issues:

Tamara Dippel is a participant in Occupy Toronto who identifies as having mental health issues including social anxiety.

"What people don't realize about what's going on is people like me and others who have illnesses are putting our lives on the line," she says. "We know we can't handle things the way other people can."

Dippel says she's drawn to Occupy Toronto because she sees problems with the current economic system. She's now concerned about the lack of stability that could result from an eviction, especially for those with mental health issues.

"I'm really worried about the mental health of people here," she says. "These people are very vulnerable. We have a hard time handling conflict and we have a hard time handling stress."

It would seem obvious that someone who has a "hard time" handling stress and conflict might not be doing themselves a favor illegally camping out in a public park in a pointless protest that is inviting an inevitable conflict with neighbours, police and the municipality.  And yet they are guided to remain by union and activist strategists who see a benefit to their organizations from the conflict.

Toth provides the account of another mentally ill occupier:

"Right now there's really no other place to turn," he says. "A lot of them have been turned away from mental institutions because apparently they're not mentally unstable enough. And that's not true." 

He describes the positive support he's experienced. 

"Here, everyone is accepted no matter what their mental health situation is," says Barker. "We try to help everybody out." 

Barker, who identifies as having multiple personality disorder and depression, says that Occupy has become a place where people with mental illnesses of all kinds are respected.

They may be respected for being bodies to show numbers, but people with serious mental illnesses require care and support of trained medical and mental health care workers, not the kind that  professional anti-capitalist activists can provide.

It's unfortunate but predictable that these vulnerable people are being used as pawns by unions like OPSEU and CUPE and their Marxist activist allies. These professional agitators are unlikely to change the world with their cacophony of disparate causes, all of which scream out for more taxes and government spending in a time of national debt and the need for austerity. But at the end of the day, the people manipulating and capitalizing on the Occupy movement, like Syd Ryan, Michael Moore and Naomi Klein, will sleep at night in their expensive, comfortable homes. Meanwhile,  the sufferers of psychiatric illness whom Occupy's celebrity spokespeople use as expendible tools will bear the cost of these narcissists' excuse for more attention.

The ultimate filibuster - Wisconsin Democrats hide in Illinois to avoid union wage cut vote

In another sign of what may spread throughout North America, the battle between the public and their elected officials who need to find ways of balancing budgets versus unions and their supporters has become ridiculous and desperate.

In order to enure that a quorum could not be reached on a vote they were going to lose, Democratic state legislators in Wisconsin fled to Illinois. The Republican-backed bill would force most unionized state workers to pay half their pension costs and 12.6% of their health care coverage. Barack Obama weighed in calling the bill "an assault on unions."

Obama's criticism led Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker to retort, "We are focused on balancing our budget. It would be wise for the government and others in Washington to focus on balancing their budgets, which they are a long way off from doing."

With the public increasingly turning against public service unions, whose self-interest and hypocrisy is evident, they are likely to continue pulling more desperate stunts. It speaks volumes to the dearth of intelligence among union leaders that their belligerent actions which betray the interests of democratic institutions only increases public opposition to them.

Union-linked Ontario Coalition Against Poverty's John Clarke warned that he will attempt more outrageous actions like those in the video below. Each one costs his and the unions' cause more in public support.

OCAP uses homophobic slurs!  In the first video at the 2:23 point, you can hear an OCAP thug say to Etobicoke Councillor Doug Ford: "F*cking scumbag, ya' faggot, eat sh!t and die!" This is the person to whom Ford allegedly replied "Get a job" although if he did, it is not audible in the video.

OCAP thugs attack municipal democracy in Toronto

John Clarke's violent activist group, the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (OCAP) doesn't think they should have to be limited by normal democratic institutions.  A group of them invaded Toronto's City Hall during the final stages of budget deliberations and assaulted police and attempted to assault City Councillors. As OCAP's Liisa Schofield expressed “If you want to tell us to stand in a queue and wait and speak politely, that’s bogus. We have the right to come in here. ... We’re going to refuse to allow these cuts to happen in the city.”

Like Clarke, OCAP spokesperson Schofield has a history of violent protest and is also notable as the same-sex partner of Jenny "Hate Thesis" Peto.

Here's one you don't see every day: Protester cries "discrimination" for NOT being arrested by police

The moonbat Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, headed by angry malcontent John Clarke, led a protest at the Liberal Party headquarters in Toronto on July 21, 2010.

According to CTV news: 11 people were taken into custody. Two were released shortly afterwards while the remaining activists remained in custody overnight."A small group of OCAP members forced their way into the offices and refused to leave," police said in a news release.  Nine people between the ages of 23 and 64 were arrested and charged with mischief interfering with property and forcible entry.

The two people taken into custody and released were Anne Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, and her communication assistant, Lenny Olin. With the exception of Abbott and Olin, the protesters were held overnight because each accused person would need to line up a surety to put up money for them.

According to the report in rabble.ca, the neo-Marxist website founded by Judy Rebick and published by Libby Davies' spouse, Kim Elliott:

Two other individuals involved in the protest -- Anne Abbott who uses a wheelchair and her communication assistant, Lenny Olin -- were subjected to radically different treatment. At the protest, it was reported that the police declared their intention to arrest Lenny and 'drop Anne off at a hospital'. When this was obviously strongly objected to by Abbott, they decided to give them both summonses to appear in court for trespass and, eventually, released them.

Now you'd normally think most people would be happy about not having to spend the night in jail. But not Ms. Abbott. Rabble reports the following statement from Anne Abbott:

"They questioned everybody except me, and I felt they thought I was incapable of giving any valid information. With the examples of the abuse on disabled people during the g20 and my recent experience, it's obvious that ableism is running rampant through the Toronto police."

Right. The evil Toronto police are practicing discriminatory "ableism" by not throwing her in jail.

I'm sure rabble would have given much better press to the police if they had thrown a disabled, wheelchair-bound woman in the slammer.
