The hateful so-called "Social Justice" campaign at the alternative "The Student School" has been yet another episode in a long list of recent idiotic blunders coming from Toronto District School Board.
The Holocaust-denying website Veterans Today was one of many odious sources that got approbation from The Student School, as well as one of it's teachers "liking" a comment that called Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper a "fascist."
It was the blog Socialist Studies which first noted the disgraceful activities at this publicly funded school. Socialist Studies has diligently investigated and continues to report a series of abuses of public trust by Ontario's School Boards and Teachers' Unions.
As a result, The Student School has killed its facebook page.
In a way that's a result. But I fear the same reprehensible activities will continue there, only now The Student School will be more secretive about them.

Toronto District School Board starts school year off with a bang: One of its schools endorses Holocaust-denying, 9/11 conspiracy website and calls PM Harper a "fascist"
The Toronto District School Board's "Student School` is a bizarre melange of lunatic, pro-Communist insanity that eats up tax dollars.
Does that sound a bit reactionary and hyperbolic?
It would, until one looks at the material the school has posted lauding the Communist serial-killer Che Guevara and decrying capitalism.
But it gets worse.
Throughout the Toronto District School Board, seminars are regularly conducted for students and parents teaching them about the perils of social media.
Ironically, the TDSB is the last source one should look to for instruction in that area.
The school has a facebook page, maintained by "The Student School" itself and just before the school years starts today, it endorsed an article from the anti-Semitic, Holocaust-denying, 9-11 conspiracy website Veterans Today.
The article in question was republished from the English-language propaganda service of the Islamic Republic of Iran, PRESS TV. There is a great deal of cross-over material from PRESS TV and Veterans Today, as both services have anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial as part of their core values, along with an absolute detestation of the West in general and the United States government in particular.
The article alleges that it was "confirmed" that Canada's 2011 election was "fraudulent." That assertion is based on false reports of election fraud in Canada and the article seemed to be culled entirely from an earlier PRESS TV video report by a hysterical 9-11 conspiracy theorist named Joshua Blakeney.
Iran has had a serious axe to grind against Canada since the latter suspended diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic last year. Iran has used PRESS TV to produce preposterous conspiracy-type reports about Canada ever since, many of which are the work of Blakeney.
Betraying its radical ignorance to an alarming extent is the school's facebook "liking" of a comment by a student who calls Prime Minister Stephen Harper a "fascist."
It is hardly a surprise that a school that promotes deranged conspiracy theories would lack the basic understanding of such concepts as fascism. However, for a tax-funded Toronto public school to be promoting such not just erroneous, but detestable values to impressionable students should seem incredible.
Or at least it would be incredible, unless one has followed the history of incompetence and promotion of fanatical, radical ideas at the TDSB, Canada's most dysfunctional school board.
(based on background provided by the blog Socialist Studies)

UPDATE: The heat from this post got their notice and the TDSB personnel running "The Student School" facebook page removed the Veterans Today link.
However they still have a link up to an anti-Israel YouTube video from Iran's English-language propaganda service, and the page is replete with anti-Israel, pro-Communist postings.
Which means the hypocrites employed by the TDSB's only worry was getting caught, but they weren't quite bright enough to figure out what the fuss was about.
These people are paid with tax dollars to "teach" your children.

Iranian shills at Press TV want Ben Affleck hanged for War Crimes
Yeah, you read that headline right. They want Ben Affleck, that Ben Affleck, hanged for 'war crimes."
The reason Iran's shills want the Hollywood star punished is for making the Academy Award-winning Argo, which they say could lead America to a war with Iran.
The article was done by the lunatic 9-11 conspiracy theorist Kevin Barrett, who writes for an innocuously named anti-Semitic, online clearinghouse for mentally unbalanced bigots called Veterans Today.
His article appeared in Iran's English language propaganda service, Press TV.
The idiots at Press TV also think Affleck could be convicted of war crimes for his role in making Pearl Harbour.
Evidently, film criticism in Iran has reached the levels of tolerance they show to Gays in that brutal, authoritarian, Islamofascist country.
While the Iranians and their stooges are way off base on Argo, which was a good movie, they might have a point on the dreadful Pearl Harbor. But hanging seems a bit severe for being in a crappy movie. Although after seeing Gigli, 10 lashes for Affleck at the time did seem like a reasonable retribution sacrificing almost two hours for that drek. But clearly Ben has rehabilitated himself since then.
Mark Steyn has some interesting observations about this you can read at The National Review online.

Iran's Press TV says Israel behind Connecticut mass murder
According to PressTV, Iran’s state-run English language media outlet, Israeli death squads were responsible for last week’s shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary that took the lives of 20 children and a number of adults. You’re not misreading that.
The article fashions the wild ravings of Michael Harris, a former gubernatorial candidate from Arizona and present day neo-Nazi ally, into the narrative, invoking Lee Harvey Oswald and other points of conspiratorial fascination.
I had an overcooked steak the other day - no doubt that too was a Zionist plot. The Press TV article was written by a cretin named Gordon Duff, Senior Editor of Veterans Today, an online Mecca for 9-11 conspiracy crazies and Holocaust deniers.
PRESS TV is the same outfit that Justin Trudeau's brother and senior political adviser Alexandre partnered up with for his pro-Iran propaganda documentary.

The importance of checking who you're involved with on the net
UPDATED OCTOBER 24/11:
Eye on a Crazy Planet recently did a published a piece on the Holocaust-denying, 9-11 conspiracy site Veterans Today. There was a link to Vet Jobs there that gave the impression that the Job link, HireVeterans.com was affiliated with Veterans Today.
Some of America's most prominent corporations pay to be "featured employers" on HireVeterans.com, which is directly linked to on Veterans Today. The two sites are both members of what is called The Veterans Today Network, which combined with the similarity in look between the sites gave the impression of a common business interest.
However I have been informed by the President of HireVeterans.com that such is not the case.
In fact, when he learned of the matter, the President of Success Spear LLC, which owns and operates HireVeterans.com, was appalled by the content on the Veterans Today site that links to his.
Veterans Today is one of the most repugnant, disgusting websites on the Internet. Its misleading name and the American flag on its banner head suggest its primary interest is in US military veteran's issues. But the website has board members like Lt General Hamid Gul, the former head of the Pakistani Intelligence Service, whose support for the Taliban resulted in the killing of many US servicemen in Afghanistan. The website is the public voice of insane 9-11 conspiracy theorists who claim that the US government was responsible for the terror attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, Jew-haters, Holocaust deniers, bigots and others whose idea of political commentary suggests they have a serious mental illness.
Veterans Today describes notorious neo-Nazi Ernst Zundel as a "human rights activist" and a recent column denied the Holocaust happened but concluded with "If it does “happen again,” can I say that I just hope that they get it right the next time?"
( UPDATE: Nov 28/11 - It looks like the psychopaths at Veterans Today were a little sensitive about being identified as advocates for genocide, so they recently excised the line above from that article.)
HireVeterans.com is performing a laudable undertaking by supporting men and women who have made sacrifices and served their country. They should be commended for that but must be careful about their associations and links. This is something that is one of the ongoing hazards of Internet-based businesses and services.
HireVeterans.com is now making immediate inquiries to see to it that their good name is not tainted by association with the deplorable views of Veterans Today.
