Gender Politics And Radical Activism In The Math Curriculum

The use of mathematics curriculum to push ideology has been going on for some time in the Toronto District School Board.  Wrote Richard Klagsbrun (Ward 10 TDSB candidate) two years ago:

The so-called social justice aspects of the curriculum frequently reflect a subjective and highly politicized interpretation of the word “justice”. As such, the way it is approached needs a very serious review, and in my opinion a complete overhaul.

Iran's Spanish-language propaganda service uses antisemitic comic to condemn insults against religion

Americans and Jews use film in the service of the devil. That's the apparent message of a cartoon published by Iran's Spanish-language propaganda service, HispanTV.

Ironically, the cartoon was being used to illustrate an article condemning a movie about the treatment of the child bride of Islam's founder, Mohammed that the Iranian news service described as "blasphemous,"  and condemns "offending religion in the guise of free speech."

Iran has made a concerted effort in recent years to make inroads in Latin and South America, forming informal alliances with Marxist-ruled Venezuela and using that country as a base for its proxy terror-group, Hezbollah.

Jewish Defense League head says Canadian correspondent for Iran's Press TV lied about receiving a threat from his organization

He has the appearance of someone who does his hair by dipping his head into a vat of sulfuric acid,  but his looks aren't the only thing about Iran's man in Canada, Joshua Blakeney, that has 'crazy' written all over it.

Blakeney is the Canadian correspondent for Iran's English-language propaganda service, Press TV, as well as the Canadian Bureau Chief for the antisemtic, Holocaust-denying website Veterans Today, and a sometime contributor to the Canadian left-wing hotbed for antisemitism, rabble.ca.

Today, Blakeney is trying to make a splash for himself by claiming he received a "threatening" email from the Jewish Defense League and his employers at Press TV have plastered it on the Internet.

Except that Meir Weinstein, in an email exchange with me, has explicitly denied that the JDL sent the email in question to Blakeney.

Blakeney alleges that the email purportedly from the JDL contains the sentence, "When we are attacked by hate-filled antisemites like you, we respond with all the resources at our disposal, and with extreme prejudice."

But bolstering JDL Director Weinstein's denial of the email originating with his group is the fact Blakeney has produced neither a name nor an email address associated with the supposed threat he claims to have received.

Along with his detestation of Israel, Blakeney is a well-known figure among Canadian 9-11 conspiracy theorists. If that isn't enough of an indication of Blakeney's challenges with rational thought, there is the line from his own website in which he brags his "work has been quoted and referred to in media venues including The National Post. "

What suggests there may be something very odd about Joshua Blakeney is that it doesn't require too subtle a reading of the National Post's articles referencing him to see they imply that the Canadian Press TV correspondent is a raving mental case. But I guess when you're as apparently detached from reality as Blakeney, there really is no such thing as bad publicity.

In an interview that Blakeney did with his bosses at Press TV, Blakeney claims he takes the JDL threat seriously. The reason being because a "German historian" had his house bombed, and Blakeney implies the JDL was involved with that.

The "German historian" to whom Blakeney referred was the notorious neo-Nazi Holocaust-denier Ernst Zundel. Describing Zundel as "German historian" would be akin to describing that neo-Nazi as a "human rights activist." For anyone who thinks that comparison is far-fetched, they have only to look at Blakeney's other employer, Veterans Today, which publishes pro-Nazi articles by Zundel's wife Ingrid and refers to Ernst Zundel, who served time in a German prison for promoting hate, as a "human rights activist."

JDL head Weinstein informed me that a writer for another of the websites for which Blakeney wrote, rabble.ca, contacted him in order to request an interview. However, Weinstein declined because he was concerned that the biases that guide everything written in rabble, which he also described as "an enabler of antisemitism," would make a fair report unlikely.

In response to that, the rabble.ca writer expressed umbrage and claimed such a statement is "potentially defamatory." It would be interesting to hear how a Canadian citizen is being 'defamatory' by taking the same view as the Canadian government.

Not only is rabble.ca an "enabler of antisemitism" but it promotes what the Canadian government defines as actual antisemitism with its sponsorship of antisemitic boycotts of Israel and the so-called "Israeli Apartheid Week," as well as articles in which it implies Canadian Jews' first loyalty is to Israel.

In his self-promoting article, Blakeney asserts that "academicians and law experts have advised me to take this threatening email to the authorities here in Canada. However, I am intuitively averse to having the state decide which emails are good and which are bad. I’d rather engage in debate and dialogue with my interlocutors.

Among those encouraging Blakeney to take his email to the authorities is JDL Director Meir Weinstein.

The result of that could be almost as embarrassing for the Press TV correspondent as Blakeney proved for his alma mater, the University of Lethbridge. At Blakeney's behest, his school offered a pro forma congratulation to its oddball alumnus on getting a post at Veteran Today, then upon learning about the insane bigotry it promotes, they publicly retracted it.

UPDATE (June 4): Jim Fetzer, an editor at Veterans Today,  the online home for deranged 9-11 conspiracy nuts, mindless Jew-haters, and suck-ups to Iran's dictatorship, has helpfully produced the email that Blakeney claims came from the Jewish Defense League. The email address on it is JDL.org@usa.com. That email address, I am informed, has absolutely nothing to do with the Jewish Defense League of Canada. USA.com is a free webmail service like hotmail, and anyone can take out an email account on it in any name they like.

The notorious "threatening" email (via Veterans Today)
The FBI in the United States has listed the Jewish Defense League as a banned terrorist organization in that country. The Jewish Defense League of Canada is peaceful, law-abiding organization has no affiliation with the banned US group, though the Veterans Today and Press TV "journalist" Blakeney and his editor evidently have no idea of that.

In response to this information, the Jewish Defense League of Canada's Director, Meir Weinstein, reiterated that if Joshua Blakeney has received a threat from any one or group, particularly one that purports, even as implausibly as in this case, to be from a representative of a listed terrorist group in the US, he should contact the relevant authorities so they can investigate it.

So it would appear that Blakeney received an anonymous threat and demonstrating his usual comical ineptitude, without even bothering to contact the Jewish Defense League of Canada, leaped to and publicized his erroneous assumption that they had threatened him.

University of Toronto professor says some classroom activism fostered by The Toronto District School Board and OISE amounts to child abuse

There are teachers in the Toronto District School Board who are subjecting children in Toronto's public schools to child abuse on a daily basis.

It's a minority of them to be sure, but they are in the system and they operate with the blessing of the School Board and of Ontario's foremost teachers college.

The University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) has posted a number of interviews with active public school teachers promoting teacher activism in the classroom. The interviews will come as a surprise to those who think the purpose of school is to teach children essential knowledge of mathematics, grammar, geography, literature and civics.

Instead of that core foundation,  these activist teachers feel they have a mandate to promote their own politics and biases to the children over whom they have been given authority.

Among OISE's exemplars of activism are Jason Kunin, a teacher at Toronto's Vaughn Road Academy, a public high school, who has used his class to promote his anti-Israel extremism. Another is David Stocker, a teacher at Toronto's Cityview Alternative School who gained considerable notoriety for his intention to raise one of his children to be "genderless," and who asserts his right to condition his students to his own brand of activism.

Manifestations of this teacher activism include the use of science classes to organize student hunger strikes and demonstrations against the Enbridge oil pipeline, and the use of math classes to convince children about the supposed ills of capitalism.

University of Toronto professor of International Relations and Political Science Aurel Braun considers much of the type of indoctrination practiced by activist teachers to be a form of child abuse.

Children in school are a captive audience, Braun notes, and the purpose of education is to provide them with a diversity of views and objective, ascertainable facts so that they have the tools to become thinking, productive citizens capable of reaching their own conclusions.

Instead, Braun, who is currently a visiting professor at Harvard University's Department of Government, suggests the daily reiteration of a particular, political outlook inflicted by activist teachers on their students is similar to the psychological conditioning that is a feature of totalitarian societies.

He compares it with the type of indoctrination for children that was conceived by Vladimir Lenin following the Bolshevik Revolution and the Communist leader's subsequent dictatorship in Russia.

Braun's analogy is particularly apt, since David Stocker asserts that the tools an activist teacher should use are the teachings of Paulo Friere, a Brazilian Maoist who extolled Lenin in his seminal work, The Pedagogy of the Oppressed.

In Canada, there is an explicit contract between the government and the consumers of education, those being the children who attend classes and the parents who entrust their children to the care of the state. The most basic aspect of that contract is that the school system will not abuse and inflict harm on their children.

Many take the view that continually subjecting children to politicized biases is harmful to them as it both warps their worldview and detracts from the skills and objectivity they will require to be successful later on in life.

"Of course they're biased, because all classrooms are biased" Stocker asserts by way of an excuse in one of his interviews. "This is mandated by the board. It's about Human Rights Work, and we have an ethical and moral obligation to do it and yes we're going to do it."

But frequently, what is "ethical or moral," and in certain instances what would be considered a "human right," is warped beyond all recognition by activist teachers who may use those terms as a means to deprive others of their rights.

Unequivocal human rights could involve activism against the ethnic slaughter of black Africans in Darfur, or against the persecution of Christians in Muslim countries. But that is not what the TDSB's activist teachers see as "moral and ethical." Instead, they compel their students to engage with groups such as OCAP and No One Is Illegal,  that advocate for class warfare and aspire to cripple Canada's economy, or those like the deceptively-named Canadian Peace Alliance, which acts as apologist for totalitarians who kill Gays and persecute ethnic and religious minorities.

It should come as little shock that OISE would be promoting such totalitarian-leaning classroom proselytizing. That institute recently appointed a professor named Abigail Bakan to head its "Social Justice" Education department. Bakan, a conspiracy theorist,  is one of the founders of the International Socialist organization and has been a speaker at antisemitic al Quds Day celebrations. The Al Quds Day activities are the brainchild of the sadistic leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution, the late Ayatollah Khomeini. Last year, a Queen's Park al Quds rally featuring Canadian Peace Alliance boss Sid Lacombe, whom Jason Kunin called to lecture to his class, was notable for inciting participants to commit a genocide of Jews in Israel.

This is the face of  classroom "Social Justice" activism that your children are forced to endure, day after day. Most teachers are too decent and too smart to subject their students to such abuse. Thankfully, plenty of those students unfortunate enough to have activist instructors realize their teachers are not particularly intelligent propagandists. However, there are many students who will readily absorb the conditioning that activist educators inflict upon them. And for the majority of students who just want to acquire credits so they can graduate and go on to what comes next, they may not emerge from public schools unscathed. Like plants growing next to a poisoned water supply, eventually, some of the toxins in which classroom activist teachers immerse their students may seep into them through the osmosis of constant exposure.

It is critical that parents become aware of what is happening to their children in public schools. Because this form of child abuse will continue to harm new generations of students until the public raises an outcry that forces a response from Ontario's Ministry of Education.

Socialist Studies Forces The Student School To Kill Its Facebook Page after exposing its political fanaticism and links to Holocaust-denying website

The hateful so-called "Social Justice" campaign at the alternative "The Student School" has been yet another episode in a long list of recent idiotic blunders coming from Toronto District School Board.

The Holocaust-denying website Veterans Today was one of many odious sources that got approbation from The Student School, as well as one of it's teachers "liking" a comment that called Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper a "fascist."

It was the blog Socialist Studies which first noted the disgraceful activities at this publicly funded school. Socialist Studies has diligently investigated and continues to report a series of abuses of public trust by Ontario's School Boards and Teachers' Unions.

As a result, The Student School has killed its facebook page.

In a way that's a result. But I fear the same reprehensible activities will continue there, only now The Student School will be more secretive about them.

Calling "bullshit" on the CBC's lies and activist journalism in support of Loubani & Greyson

Have you ever heard a tale from a pathological liar that is so mind-numbingly stupid you wondered why they even bothered to tell it?

You know, one of those lies that is so obviously, demonstrably untrue that by telling it to you, they either have complete contempt for your intelligence or are such idiots that they don't realize that their attempt at deception is completely transparent.

That's what I heard yesterday night from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation about their rationale for concealing the fanatical activist and lawbreaking history of the two Canadians, Tarek Loubani and John Greyson, who had been imprisoned in Egypt since August.

In his report yesterday about the return of the two Muslim Brotherhood-enabling radicals to Canada, CBC reporter Ron Charles treated viewers to this little gem:
`While the men were in jail, great care was taken back home not to reveal too much about them for their safety. Few people mentioned that Greyson is a prominent Gay filmmaker, pro-Palestinian activist and member of a controversial group called Queers Against Israeli Apartheid. He was to have been part of a failed flotilla of boats carrying activists in 2011 intending to breech Israel`s blockade of Gaza.``
Think for a moment how incredibly facile that CBC assertion sounds.

Greyson is an openly Gay York University professor who has gobbled up vast sums from the Canada Council and other tax-funded bodies to make his homoerotic pseudo-artistic trash. He even has a long-standing Wikipedia entry that highlights his so-called "filmmaking" career as well as his radical anti-Israel activism.

Tarek Loubani has a history of lawbreaking and involvement with the terror-supporting group International Solidarity Movement that is easily accessible on the Internet.

Greyson has a long history of Hamas-enabling fanaticism
Beyond that, bloggers and Sun News were reporting on the truth about Greyson and Loubani`s background from Day 1 of their arrest.

So for the CBC`s explanation for why they covered up Greyson and Loubani`s background to be plausible, it would mean that Egyptian prosecutors were incapable of typing the two men`s names into a Google search.

What then is the real reason media like the CBC and the Toronto Star hid the background of Greyson and Loubani, not from Egyptians, but from their fellow Canadians who get their news from those sources?

The answer is obvious. The left-wing media are sympathetic to Greyson and Loubani. The CBC and the Star, for the last two months, have been manipulating Canadians into thinking the duo were "innocents" caught "in the wrong place at the wrong time" to contrive pressure on our, not the Egyptian government, to act on their behalf.

Greyson in particular is part of a narrow clique of Canada Council darlings including overrated Canadian media personalities Atom Egoyan and Sarah Polley. The CBC and Star were more than happy to manipulate the news and hide facts from the public to keep their friends happy and agitate for the public to pressure the government to act on behalf of two fanatics.

Don't get me wrong, I too thought the government should have advocated for them to receive just treatment in Egypt and even made an appeal for them (sarcastic as it may have been).

But I knew who John Greyson and Tarek Loubami really were.

We now know that Greyson and Loubani's story is just that, a story, and it's full of holes.

Why were they breaking curfew to attend a banned Muslim Brotherhood rally that turned into a violent riot?

Why were they carrying surveillance equipment, including mini-drones, and offering the implausible excuse that it was for the transport of medical supplies?

Whereas the CBC and The Toronto Star didn't want anyone to find that out.

This goes to show that what we see from the CBC is not fair, objective, unbiased journalism, but activism pretending to be reporting.

Now that Margaret Wente at the Globe and Mail has finally broken ranks and gave a more detailed account of the duo's past, and enough Canadians have seen reports from Sun Media and elsewhere, people are getting the idea of what was going on and there is a backlash.

It would be nice if that backlash was strong enough to get the CBC to actually do its job properly, or as an impetus for it to be sold to someone who could see that it does.

Political indoctrination in the classroom

The following is from a blog created by an Ontario teacher named Lon Palmer and it makes for very informative reading:
...I went to – in fact, was forced to attend – a workshop on racism, in which I and my fellow teachers were told that the only people who could, by definition, practice racism were whites because racism, by definition, equals discrimination plus power, and whites are the only group that has power. That’s circular logic combined with a definition that you won’t find in Oxford or Webster. When I pointed out that the them director of the TDSB was black, I was informed, straight-faced, that he was the exception, and so, in short, did not count.

The overall effect of this is to create and foster a stereotype of white people as being racist to non-whites, while non-whites are incapable of being racist, which fosters antipathy towards whites who, quite rightly, resent that – hardly a formula for reducing racism.

What little true racism exists in our society, of course, exists on all sides. I have seen black students show prejudice against Asians, Asians against blacks, aboriginals against whites . . . like I said, it’s on all sides.

Jonathan Kay: Bashing Israel on Vancouver buses isn’t a form of hate speech

Jon Kay makes some excellent points in his latest piece for the National Post:

...It would be nice if Vancouver transit riders could be educated about the intricacies of the Middle East conflict with a single ad. But alas, this one leaves out some crucial information. The second panel, marked “UN Plan 1947,” for instance, might have informed the reader that the depicted distribution of land was unanimously rejected by Arab nations, which then massed armies on Israel’s border in order to annihilate the nascent Jewish state. Nor does the ad depict the distribution of land contained in the peace deal offered to Yasser Arafat at Camp David in 2000. Oh, and the part about “five million” Palestinian refugees might have mentioned that this number has been artificially inflated by a unique UN provision, applicable only to Palestinians, extending the definition of “refugee” into intergenerational perpetuity.

Plenty of propaganda and indoctrination, but apparently one thing John Greyson didn't teach his students was how to make a decent movie

York University's anti-Israel fanatic John Greyson is currently in jail in Egypt for charges* including helping the Muslim Brotherhood's terrorist activities.

A few of his students and colleagues at York produced a short video appeal for his release. In viewing it, in which they describe the things they learned from Greyson, it becomes apparent one thing he did not teach them was how to make a decent motion picture.

But why should anyone expect that he would? There's nothing in his filmography to suggest he has that knowledge or ability.

As the old saying goes, those who can, do; those who can't teach; and those who can't do or teach are activists who proselytize in their classes at York University.

The video appeal includes snippets from anti-Israel propaganda that Greyson has produced and directed which his students praise.

Evidently he has misused his role as a York Film Professor to spread the hateful poison of his extremist political activism.

Egypt will probably let Greyson go soon. Unless he actually was involved in activities supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, they should have no interest in holding on to him.

Why anyone would want to keep John Greyson around for a second longer than they have to is indeed a mystery.

*NB: Greyson has not been formally charged, but the implication from the Egyptian authorities is that he was arrested for being involved with Muslim Brotherhood activities. He was arrested on a Muslim Brotherhood `Day of Rage` filled with riots and killings.

"Adult" model doubles up as Iranian regime propaganda TV “reporter”

PressTV, the official news outlet of the theocratic government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has employed an Australian correspondent, Edwina Storie, who is a former “adult entertainment” model and big-boozing party girl.
Her behaviour, all perfectly lawful here in Australia, would be sufficient for her to be stoned to death in the theocratic and tyrannical regime that pays her to propagandise on their behalf.
Storie, a trained journalist and glamour model, has recently started reporting for the Iranian news outlet, with stories including one broadcast this weekend cheering on the efforts of local ultra-left and Greensparty militants to institute a “boycott” against the Jewish state of Israel of the kind once pushed in Nazi Germany. Respecting customs in Iran, Edwina Storie partly covered her hair and dressed modestly during the broadcast.

The Israeli parliamentarian who dreams of a 3rd Intifada

Beit Zatoun, the Palestinian bunker cum curio shop that sits atop Toronto's Mirvish Village, hosted Arab-Israeli parliamentarian Jamal Zahalka, who is making the rounds for an anti-Israel propaganda tour.

As a sitting member of Israel's parliament, who has degrees from Israeli universities, he is living proof that the slander of Israel being an "apartheid" state is an outright lie.

But Zahalke, who is given to strange, irrational behavior, did his best to try to sell the lie to an audience of half-wits, self-hating Jews and Islamist and terror sympathizers.

Blogwrath was there and produced an excellent report which you can read at THIS LINK.

They've done it again! Toronto District School Board's Muslim resource is an anti-Semitic, mysogynistic, anti-western hate propaganda website

Blazing Cat Fur has the details:

Did you know that the anti-Christ will be a Jew? No? Well rest assured it's true according to the TDSB's go to resource on all things Muslim.

Plus:

"Women generally waste money in useless avenues even if they have to take a loan. It is sinful to waste. Whenever you intend spending, first examine whether there is any deeni benefit or any worldly need. After thoroughly pondering, if there is a need and a benefit, go ahead and spend. As far as possible avoid taking debts even if you have to undergo a little hardship."

Other media accounts make it appear The Toronto Star is lying about Rob Ford (again)

An investigation by the Globe and Mail flatly contradicts the Toronto Star's accounts of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's allegedly intoxicated behavior last month at The Garrison Ball charity dinner.

According to the Globe:
The Globe spoke to more than a dozen people who attended the gala and contacted everyone on its organizing committee, though only a handful returned telephone calls. Six members of the Garrison Ball’s 13-person organizing committee released a statement Tuesday, saying none of them asked the mayor to leave.

Defence Minister Peter MacKay, who was at the gala, said he chatted with Mayor Ford briefly. “He looked fine to me,” Mr. MacKay wrote in an e-mail.

Former budget chair Mike Del Grande, who in that post was one of Mayor Ford’s most loyal supporters, characterized Mr. Ainslie’s comments as “sour grapes” because Mr. Ainslie did not receive the budget chair position he had coveted earlier this year.
A CBC report confirmed that no member of the Gala's organizing committee asked Ford to leave the event and denies that Councillor Ainslie told anyone to remove Ford:
..the Garrison Ball's volunteer organizing committee said in an email statement to CBC News on Tuesday that they did not ask Ford to leave the Feb. 23 event.
"No member of the event’s organizing committee, including Councillor Paul Ainslie, directed the mayor to leave the event that night," the email said.
The Toronto Star has lied about Rob Ford in the past. I was interviewing Ford during his 2010 mayoral campaign on the day a Toronto Star story was published alleging that Ford had assaulted a high school football player he was coaching. Ford had to interrupt the interview a number of times to take calls from staff and supporters who were trying to locate the player so he could set the record straight. Either Ford was telling the truth, or he is the best actor I've ever met, and I've worked on movies where the lead actors were nominated for and/or won an Academy Award.

In the end, the player, who disliked Ford, refuted the Star's account, though the left-wing newspaper stubbornly refused to apologize for its lies.

The Star has fanatically opposed Ford before and since his election victory. It did so to the point where more than one Star columnist not only insinuated, but outright declared that Torontonians must be "nuts" because they supported the cost-cutting municipal politician.

Rob Ford's success is alarming to the Star for a variety of reasons. They include that Ford is an opponent of the Star's special interest allies. Ford's popularity is like a slap in the face to the Star's editorial board, serving as a daily reminder that they are irrelevant to political opinion in the city in any substantive way.

Something The Star's propagandists should realize by now is that when it comes to his electability, no one cares what they say about Ford. It doesn't matter if he is drunk, grabbed the rear-end of an attention-seeking social climber, gave the finger to an obnoxious driver or whatever.

The people who support Ford do so because, unlike the politicians the Star favors, he doesn't spend other people's money like a drunken sailor. He has kept taxes and spending down and fought the predatory public unions to the point where they have accepted contracts the city can afford.

The Star's vendetta of hysteria, smears, lies, insults and mudslinging only solidifies support for the beleaguered mayor. At this point, Toronto's largest circulation daily's credibility about the city's mayor is no better than Pravda's reports about America were during the Soviet era or Iran's Press TV reports are about its enemies Canada and Israel.

So bring it on al Starzeera. Every time you pick a battle with Ford, he gets stronger and you look more desperate and ridiculous.

Even the Globe's John Doyle thinks the CBC's multi-million dollar commercial for the NDP was a piece of crap

From John Doyle's review of Jack, the CBC's biopic of the NDP's late leader Jack Layton:

The movie is poor, an empty triumph of the sort of sentimentality that doesn’t resonate at all and doesn’t entertain. And it doesn’t matter, because what really happened at the end of Jack Layton’s life has already had its impact.

Palestinian propaganda film maker held for questioning at LA X until intervention by famous obese socialist

The histrionic idiocy suggests the type of over-exaggerated propaganda routinely put out by Palestinian activists and their supporters:

"Last night, on my way from Turkey to Los Angeles, CA, my family and I were held at U.S. immigration for about an hour and questioned about the purpose of my visit to the United States," Burnat said in a statement issued to THR. "Immigration officials asked for proof that I was nominated for an Academy Award for the documentary 5 Broken Cameras and they told me that if I couldn't prove the reason for my visit, my wife Soraya, my son Gibreel and I would be sent back to Turkey on the same day. After 40 minutes of questions and answers, Gibreel asked me why we were still waiting in that small room. I simply told him the truth: 'Maybe we'll have to go back.' I could see his heart sink.
Although this was an unpleasant experience, this is a daily occurrence for Palestinians, every single day, throughout he West Bank. There are more than 500 Israeli checkpoints, roadblocks, and other barriers to movement across our land, and not a single one of us has been spared the experience that my family and I experienced yesterday. Ours was a very minor example of what my people face every day."

This is the time of "oppression" and "war crime" they complain about, or as we in the west call it, routine security measures.

Iran upset Canada is training troops in Mali to fight against Islamist rebels

Iran's English language propaganda service, PRESS TV, which recently partnered with Liberal leadership Candidate Justin Trudeau's brother and political advisor Alexandre to help obfuscate its nuclear ambitions, has been working hard recently to malign Canada. This was spurred in part by the Canadian government's decision last fall to break diplomatic relations with the Islamic dictatorship.

PRESS TV has employed a crackpot 9-11 conspiracy theorist named Joshua Blakeney to be its Canadian correspondent and true-to-form, he regularly submits bizarre conspiracy-laden pieces nonsensically accusing the Canadian government of a variety of insane-sounding transgressions.

More malevolently, Iran is trying to ferment trouble in native communities, and attempting to create a 5th column among both aboriginals and conservative Muslims living in Canada.

Those efforts are reflected in references to Canada's aboriginals in PRESS TV's story this week condemning a recent  announcement that Canadian troops will train soldiers in Mali to combat Islamist rebels in the north of that troubled African country.

Chomsky - sounds clever until you actually consider what he says

Noam Chomsky is a propagandist, a cultural and moral relativist, and is completely full of crap.

Five Feet of Fury wrote a great little piece demonstrating how the sage of American anti-capitalists occasionally produces clever-sounding quips that prove to be complete lies if one bothers to give them cursory examination.

And here's a little more on that subject.
