Federal Court upholds Jason Kenney`s decision to defund anti-Semitic, terror-supporting Canadian Arab Federation

In 2009 as Minister of Citizenship, Jason Kenney halted federal funding to the anti-Semitic, terror-supporting extremists of the Canadian Arab Federation. Last May, the CAF took Kenney to court to try to have the funding restored.

Evidently, the CAF case was as incompetent as one would expect from such hateful buffoons. I am informed a large part of their argument rested on using quotes from articles by radical loony-leftist Judy Rebick.

Today, according to tweets from Jason Kenney, the Court has upheld Kenny`s decision.

At a press conference I attended a couple of years ago when I asked about the funding for another radical NGO called Alternatives International, based in Montreal, Kenney discussed the difficulty of getting funding removed from such groups.

Tim Uppal, another Federal Cabinet Minister, then told me following the conference how important it is for the public to speak out and pressure the government to remove funding from such organizations. Because with the tactics these groups use to keep their snouts in the public trough, public support for the government in these cases is critical.

               OTTAWA,  July 29 (ARP News Service) --  Boycott campaigns against the Arab world and Iran that will require the cooperation of every lover of Middle East freedom have been launched by a group of outspoken Canadians, it was announced today by its leader Ehab Lotayef, a computer technician at McGill University.

            "It is high time we exposed the crimes against humanity committed by the modern pharoahs of the Muslim Middle East.  Hosni Mubarak and Col. Muammar Gadaffi, who enslaved the long-suffering Egyptian and Libyan peoples with 30-year old dictatorships unprecedented in modern history, have now been ousted, as has Mubarak's successor, but democracy is still not on the horizon.

             Meanwhile, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan are being ruled by hereditary fascist thugs and usurpers who are massacring their own people ," Lotayef stated.

            Speaking to hundreds of Muslim and Syrian Canadians on Parliament Hill, the Egyptian- Canadian activist who is a moderate member of the Muslim Brotherhood, blasted the Arab and Iranian regimes for plundering their countries' wealth and depriving their people of their basic human rights. He particularly upbraided Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iran for their entrenched system of apartheid against their Christian Copt, Maronite, Melkite, Palestinian, Berber, Sunni, Shia and Kurd populations.

             Lotayef, who has long sailed the seas for the seething Arab masses oppressed by their corrupt rulers, bewailed the thousands of civilians recently massacred by the Arab and Iranian security forces in the streets of  Cairo, Alexandria, Aleppo, Teheran, Manama,  Damascus, Deraa, Latakia, Homs, Amman, Jeddah, Gaza City, Taiz and Sanaa.

             "It is simply incomprehensible that these bloodthirsty governments are committing genocide against their own people," he exclaimed.

              As a consequence, his new organization -- Canadians for Boycotting Arab and Iranian Goods (CBAIG) --  will be demanding that Canadian importers immediately terminate their contracts for the purchases of petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, cotton yarn and garments, rugs, fertilisers, majhool dates, taboule, figs, and sheet metal from these countries. In addition, all Canadian firms with investments and joint ventures in these tyrannies, including Atco International, SNC-Lavalin, Suncor, Bombardier, Caisse Desjardins and the Royal Bank of Canada, will be pressured to divest their assets from them.

              Of equal weight is our campaign for the Harper government  to implement sanctions by halting its arms shipments to the Nazi-like governments of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

                 

             "We are confident that the international community - and particularly the Canadian and Quebecois publics - is prepared to support our initiative until the vicious dictatorships of the Arab Middle East and Iran are overthrown and their civilian populations are finally endowed with classical democracy," Lotayef affirmed.

            "The welfare of the beleaguered Arab and Iranian people must be our number one priority," he stated.

  

            The new boycott campaign is supported by the NDP and Vancouver Caucuses, the Winnipeg Peace Alliance, Stop the War, Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East, York Federation of Students, the Tamil National Council of Canada,  CUPE Ontario Section, the Association of Arab Students and Professors in Canada, KAIROS Canada, the Canadian Postal Workers Union, the League for Iranian Democracy, the Federation des Enseignants du Quebec as well as dozens of Pentecostal and United Church of Canada ministers led by Thom Davies of Wesley Urban Ministries in Hamilton, Ontario.

              CBAIG co-founder Karen Devito, the recently-remarried Vancouver socialite, noted the illegitimate Muslim government leaders of the Middle East are being targeted by her followers with arrest warrants should they step foot on Canadian soil or seek asylum here. Under the international law of universal jurisdiction, war criminals and their genocidal ilk are liable to arrest upon the issuance of a certification by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.

             She emphasized that her group's actions were in complete fulfilment of the treasured Canadian tradition of seeking justice for suffering humanity.  Moreover, it has the complete approval of her strategic adviser, the world-renowned author Naomi Klein, a veteran critic of Arab war crimes. 

              "We must lose no time in bringing  Assad and the Iranian mullahs to the gallows just as Bin Laden and Gaddafi were so quickly dispatched. These greasy rats must be torn limb from limb," she stated to tumultuous applause from the demonstrators.

              "And let us not forget to overthrow the corrupt rulers of the Muslim Palestinians in the Hamas and Fatah movements who have immiserated their people by stealing their hard-earned wages to pad their Swiss bank accounts," Devito added.

              Casting aside her life-time enmity towards Israel, Devito pleaded with the Jewish state to invade Syria and Iran and wipe out their respective Palestinian-hating feudal Shi'ite ruling classes.

              A humanitarian gesture of this sort under the UN's Doctrine of the Responsibility to Protect can lead to the toppling of their authoritarian regimes and the implementation of the  Universal Declaration of Human Rights and all the Geneva Conventions,'' she posited. 

             "As for our myriad of friends among the general public, we sincerely hope they will be moved to embrace the boycott of Arab and Iranian goods with the objective of  liberating the oppressed Arab masses, " Lotayef and Devito concluded.

              CBAIG is also pleased to announce that its founder Ehab Lotayef and strong supporter, Prof. Diane Lamoureux of Laval University, will shortly be crossing the Turkish frontier into Syria where they will document for Canadians the Holocaust naqba that is being inflicted upon the Palestinians by their Syrian Arab brethren.

              Some 3,000 Palestinian children have already been slaughtered and gassed with the sarin nerve gas agent near Yarmouk, 65,000 adults and their families have been turned into refugees fleeing to Jordan and Lebanon, while 80 percent of the total 520,000 Palestinian population has been displaced from their homes.

              Horrific barbarism is occurring at 14 concentration camps where Syrian militias are daily ripping out the intestines of hundreds of Palestinians and eating their raw livers, kidneys and hearts as reported by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the recent G-8 Summit.

Canadian leftists` hypocrisy and deference to Islam fuels the genocide in Darfur

To the indifference of the United Nations, in a desolate part of Africa, by the hundreds of thousands, the world`s worst ongoing genocide since the reign of terror by Pol Pot`s murderous Khmer Rouge continues.

The genocide in Sudan has faded from public attention, and the deaths are likely to continue for a long time because the homicidal campaign of President Omar al-Bashir to turn his country into an Islamic, Arab state has help throughout the Muslim middle east and  from conniving accessories here in the west.

And if you say anything about it, you are an Islamophobe!  Or at least, that's what lots of western enablers of a racist genocide in Africa would like people to believe.

Can you imagine even the most elementary discussion of the Holocaust without mentioning Jews and Germans? Or of the Turkish genocide of Armenians without mentioning Armenians? It sounds too ludicrous to be taken seriously.

But the equivalent happened last Wednesday when Gerald Caplan, New Democratic Party adviser and stalwart of the radical neo-Marxist website rabble.ca, wrote an article in The Globe and Mail chastising Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird for his supposed inaction on Sudan.

Not once will you find the words Arab, Islam, black, or Muslim in Caplan's article. Caplan neglects to mention whom is killing whom in Sudan or why. Relying on  Caplan's information, one is left to assume the Sudanese genocide is simply a case of a criminal president murdering random civilians.  But the truth is that these murders are not random at all. They are part of a systematic campaign by Muslim Arabs in Sudan to eradicate non-Muslim blacks.

Why are Caplan and his ilk unwilling to speak out about the motives, the perpetrators and the victims in Sudan? The answer is that motivated by trying to seek common cause with the "anti-imperialist" (i.e. anti-American, anti- Israel) Muslim world, they are fearful of pegging any atrocity they may commit to Islam. Because Arabs are among the downtrodden in their idiotic, Manichean, Marxist division of the world between oppressor and oppressed, nothing may be said against them. Instead, they obsess over the transgressions committed by capitalist countries that are inherently democratic and respectful of human rights while favoring totalitarians they see as sympathetic to their anti-capitalist aspirations.

This attitude is quite happily exploited by Islamists and their helpers in Canada and the west.

A case in point was illustrated when a member of the Canadian Public Employees Union (CUPE) challenged Ali Mallah, the union's then Vice President for Diversity, on its inaction regarding the Darfur genocide while it invested enormous resources for efforts such as vilifying Israel over its defensive actions in Gaza which resulted in a fraction of the casualties inflicted by Muslim forces in Sudan.

The response from Mallah, who not coincidentally was also a Vice President of the Canadian Arab Federation, was remarkably revealing. His answer (with his spelling and syntax errors included) was in essence to justify doing nothing by attributing attention towards Sudan to an imperialist, anti-Arab, Islamophobic conspiracy:

".. We had a  a tense discussion about this issue and It was the International Solidarity committee and later the executive of CUPE  district decision not to be dragged into a suspicios  calls by some organizations (that are well known of its biases and disregard to Human rights) to participate in demonstartions that based on Islamophobia and prejudices while shedding crocodile tears over Darfur, Sepecialy when it  is paving the way for another Imperialist project led By G.W. Bush, Condie and the rest of the gang. also, part of the debate was focused on the fact that there attempts to divide the  people of Sudan Sudanees as Arabs VS  Africans. I am sure you agree with the  fact,  that Sudan is an African Country and its people are Africans regardless of religion and  languages/ dialect."

Mallah is a close associate of the notorious pro-Iran advocate Zafar Bangash, an Islamist radical Imam who operates from York region, north of Toronto, with the two of them regularly appearing back-to-back at local anti-Israel rallies.. Bangash claims to decry racism, but his angry, volatile personality causes the veil to slip from time to time, revealing his antipathy towards blacks, having called US President Obama "that black man in the White House" and a "perfect Uncle Tom." As pro-democracy Muslim moderate Tarek Fatah has noted, Arab racism towards blacks and people with dark skin is worse than anything he has ever seen in the west.

CUPE and the union-financed website rabble.ca, published by the spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies, are not alone among so-called "social justice" advocates who turn a blind eye to the racist, Islamic genocide of blacks in Sudan.

Alternatives International is a Montreal-based NGO that receives about a million dollars a year from the Canadian and Quebec governments. The organization, which has been able to maintain charitable status despite its financing of blatantly political campaigns, is supposedly concerned with human rights throughout the developing world.  Not surprisingly, Sudan is absent from its list of campaigns. What is interesting is that Ali Mallah is on the Board of Directors of Alternatives.

Another group that lays a questionable claim to being a "social justice" organization is the Canadian Peace Alliance. While doing nothing to advance the cause of peace, they do act as Canadian advocates for Iran, a repressive,  brutal, authoritarian regime that is the world's most blatant sponsor of terrorism.  But there is not a mention of the genocide in Sudan among their campaigns.

That shouldn't be too big a shock. Guess who is on the Steering Committee for The Canadian Peace Alliance... Ali Mallah!

Romeo Dallaire wrote a book called Shake Hands with the Devil in which he told the tale of trying to save the lives of Tutsi in Rwanda. Canada's leftists could write a book called In Bed with the Devil, where they can talk about how they sold out blacks in Sudan, and their souls, for the approbation of Islamists.

The future ain't what it used to be

You never know how things are going to turn out until they happen.  But the events of past years and the histories of the players on the world stage can give us some revealing clues about how 2012 may unfold.  So despite Yogi Berra's sound warning that "it's tough to make predictions, especially about the future," now that we're about twelve hours into the new year, I'm going to unleash my prognostications.

In Canada, we'll have a sound economic year. The next general election is about four years away, and the Conservatives have a solid majority, so the Canadian political scene will remain stable. The New Democrats will elect a new leader who is profoundly uninspiring and unable to connect with people in any meaningful way. The Liberals will sit back and watch NDP support gradually erode as the ineptitude of their parliamentary representatives makes itself obvious. The NDP and Liberals will do whatever they can to try to get attention for themselves, but the public will remain more interested in the latest Kardashian gossip than the teapot tempests the opposition parties try to stir up.

The battlegrounds that will form in the new year in Canada will largely involve the Labour movement and governmental austerity programs. Governments at all levels will attempt to reduce spending and their will be significant reductions in the number of public employees. Public service unions will try to make it an all-out fight, framing spending reductions as "a class war on the poor" and threatening horrors of cutbacks and social upheaval if the cuts occur.

What the public service unions won't realize until it's to late is that the public is fed up with them and sees through their self-interested hyperbole. We've reached the stage where most union members are disgusted with and humiliated by union leadership, who clearly are acting, not in the interest of the taxpayers or even public sector workers, but for themselves.

Union funded professional protesters like the Occupy movement, OCAP and their controlled mouthpieces like rabble.ca, will do little to sway the majority of Canadians who see them as a bizarre form of  paid lobbyists who utilize street theatre as their communications strategy.

The Occupy Movement itself will continue to desperately try to get attention and struggle for some relevance, but without any real success. The word is out on them;  it was never a grass-roots movement. Occupy was an orchestrated effort by public sector unions, socialists, Marxists, and their bigoted strategists like Kalle Lasn of Adbusters. These aren't new people protesting new problems, they are the same old full-time malcontents utilizing a new public relations approach. The camping-out technique did let them swell their usual numbers with the ranks of homeless, mentally ill and criminals, but the result was that their protests also featured assaults, rapes, murders, and drug-overdoses.

Occupy was characterized by incompetence evidenced through an inability to accomplish anything other than to demonstrate the intellectual bankruptcy of radical socialists who want to run the world, but couldn`t even effectively manage a campground.

The other domestic battlefield will be in education, where radical socialists are trying to indoctrinate future generations with the aid of hapless provincial education ministers. The public has caught on to this and with increased attention on the matter, a strong backlash is brewing.

In the US, there is a very good chance that the Republicans will implode and Barack Obama will be elected to a second term. Ron Paul, an isolationist extremist and crackpot, will not get the Republican nomination. But the infighting between him, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney leading up to the convention could create serious enough harm to let Obama recover from his slump in popularity.

A lot will depend on what happens to the US economy in the next ten months, and how Obama deals with crises like Iran`s posturing and nuclear ambitions. The Republicans may pull out a November victory if Gingrich of Romney emerges as the nominee and presents a reasonable, centrist candidacy that isn`t embarrassed by American Exceptionalism and presents sound economic alternatives. But the Republicans have a way of shooting themselves in the foot, so we`ll just have to see how things turn out. My actual prediction here is that the Republicans do capture the White House in the election, but I`m not going to bet the farm on it.

As far as the rest of the world goes, it`s going to be a mess. South America is going to have economic disasters and political upheavals, although on the bright side, Hugo Chavez may die and a responsible government could be restored in Venezuela.

Islamic extremism will continue to be a major threat to the civilized world. The middle eastern Arab upheavals will lead to Islamist regimes that claw back human rights. There won`t be the sort of full-fledged tyranny in any of them that emerged in Iran following its 1979 revolution, but that part of the world will become more dangerous and more extreme. The Palestinians leadership will conitue to give contradictory messages about its intentions towards peace while their incompetence and hate prevents any progress from being made. Israel, hamstrung by horrendous proportional representation system that almost guarantees government participation by religious extremest parties will muddle through the status quo for another year. The barbarity of the Arab upheavals and Iran, combined with the US election will reduce pressure for any meaningful progress in the Palestinian/Arab/Israeli peace process.

One very dangerous development that may occur is that Iran, facing economic and military pressure, may utilize its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah to start another war in the region to deflect attention from the Islamic Republic. If that happens, they will also be utilizing their useful idiot proxies in the west to wage a propaganda war on their behalf.

On the whole, 2012 will be another year where Canadians should be very grateful for having one of the safest, most prosperous and free countries in the world as their home.

Why the "Arab Spring" spells disaster... and why it might not

The Arab countries undergoing revolutionary maelstroms are all dictatorships without any real democratic traditions. The history of latter-day revolutions suggests that bodes badly for what may come in those lands. If the examples of the French, Russian, Chinese, Cuban, Cambodian and Iranian Revolutions are anything to go by, the consistent tradition would be for another, more brutal form of government to emerge.

Robespierre's France, Lenin's Russia, Mao's China,  Castro's Cuba, Pol Pot's Cambodia, and Khomeini's Iran became Living Hells for anyone who espoused the ideals of freedom.

In an odd way, revolutions become strange reflections of the tyrannies they profess to replace. Lenin and Stalin became sadistic Czars, Mao became a cruel Emperor, Khomeini was a bloodthirsty, ecclesiastic Shah, and Castro a despotic Generalissimo who just happened to favour Communism over Capitalism.

There is one exception, where a revolution resulted in profound change while civil order
was maintained, and a new government was formed that enshrined rights and liberties unknown in the past. That is in the example of the United States of America.

The differences in the outcome of the American Revolution could be attributed to a variety of factors, but the most basic and profound of these is the fact that the US emerged from the British democratic tradition. The American Revolution was actually the culmination of a British tradition of rebellion aimed at transferring authority from the monarch to the people, dating from the Magna Carta in 1215, through to the English Civil War that pitted Parliament against King Charles I, and the Glorious Revolution of 1688 that saw James II removed from the throne.

The American Continental Congress was a genuine, functioning, democratic body, so the transition to an independent, liberal democratic system was a natural outgrowth of existing institutions. In fact, it was only through the extraordinary humility and nobility of George Washington that America didn't have its own monarchy for a time. Washington declined the offer to become America's king and in a most rare example among those in position of great power, voluntarily removed himself from it.

Unfortunately, there is no Arab country that bears much resemblance to the values of Colonial America, other than that many of them still maintain the institution of slavery.

And to make matters worse, Arab countries have been mired in state-fed ignorance and hate. Their leaders have, for generations, promoted the idea of Arabs as victims oppressed by the West while fostering sectarianism and racism in government-controlled media that would be shocking to the outside world. As an example of what can happen to a society built on those foundations, one need look no further than the psychotic administration of Ahmadinejad's Iran.

However things may not be as bleak as they seem.

The revolutions that went bad were usually centred around a charismatic leader who would become a new tyrant in the resulting government. No such leader seems to be a factor in any of the Arab revolts.

An even more important consideration is that the revolutions of the past existed largely in a vacuum. While people may have been generally aware of what happened elsewhere, they were primarily focused on themselves. Now we live in an age of instant, global communication. It is just that pervasive exchange of information that is spreading the seeds of revolt through the Arab middle east. On their computer screens, Arabs can see how Canadians, British and Australians live and enjoy democratic freedoms. With that genie out of the bottle, it is unlikely they will want to emulate the repression that the Ayatollahs are imposing on the Iranian people.

Only time will reveal what becomes of the change of the Arab Upheaval. While there is a great deal to be cautious about, there is also much cause for hope.

A worried Gaddafi bans soccer matches to head off protests

With popular uprisings against autocrats spreading across the Arab world, unpopular Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi has extended a ban of public demonstrations to include a ban on soccer matches.

Libya's crazed leader, who named one of his sons Hannibal, lives a lifestyle that exceeds that of the potentates of ancient Carthage on whose ruins his country sits.

Gaddafi has imprisoned journalists and political opponents and has ordered the assassination of ex-patriots who have spoken out against his regime. His repression of all dissent has made him and his family extremely unpopular among the Libyan masses.

His fear of meeting a fate worse than the deposed leader of Tunisia has led him to ban any opportunity for his people to assemble in large groups, even in non-political venues. He seems to appreciate that the opportunity to denounce the Beast of Tripoli may prove irresistible whenever it presents itself for his people.

He forcefully stated in a speech in the last hour that he will "die on the soil of Egypt" and will initiate electoral reforms, including fixed presidential terms.

Whether the public accepts his decision to retain power until fall will be determined over the next few days. The crowds listening to his speech on outdoor monitors heckled as he delivered it. There is speculation that if he can, Mubarak will be using the time to ensure that a successor in the NDP, the ruling Egyptian party, can be introduced to the public and make use of the largely-government controlled media to win popular support. Mubarak's son Gamal is usually mentioned in Egypt as being groomed to take over his father's role. Mubarak has another son, Alaa.

One observation the protesters are beginning to realize is that there may be a million people in the streets, but there are 79 million Egyptians who are staying home who don't necessarily share their aspirations.

A question that remains is, if Mubarak were to step down now, who would assume the reins of power?

Racist rabbi called to task by Israeli Cabinet Minister

UPI reports:

Scores of leading Israeli rabbis have signed a religious ruling forbidding Jews from renting or selling properties to non-Jews officials said...

The ruling comes just months after Safed's chief rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu along with 18 other rabbis, signed a petition urging Jews to refrain from renting or selling homes to non-Jews, the newspaper said.

At the time Eliyahu called on town residents to refrain from renting to Arab students who attend college in the town, Haaretz said. 

Eliyahu was the most senior rabbi to sign the petition at the time, causing Minister of Minority Affairs Avishay Braverman to ask Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman to investigate whether charges of incitement should be brought against him.

Braverman also demanded Eliyahu be suspended from his municipal post, the newspaper said.

The London Review of Books (the LRB) has long been known as a publication virulently hostile to the State of Israel and Zionism. This report covers the ten years from 1 June 2000 to 31 May 2010, examining the fortnightly magazine’s reviews and essays on Israel-Palestine and exposing an entirely one-sided, fringe narrative, paid for by British taxpayers’ money via Arts Council funding. •A Freedom of Information request revealed that since its inception the LRB has received over £767,000 from Arts Council England, funded by the public purse

•Between 2000 and 2010, over £188,000 was received by the LRB specifically for the purpose of paying contributing writers. In this period 92 articles on Israel-Palestine were produced by contributors

•More than one third (36%) of articles were written by Jewish Israelis and more than half (53%) of all articles were written by people known to be Jewish. On only one occasion was a mainstream Jewish and Israeli perspective on the conflict showcased by this (or any) contingent

•The LRB consistently portrayed Israel as a bloodthirsty and genocidal regime out of all proportion to reality, while sympathetic portraits abounded of groups designated as terrorist organisations by the British government such as Hamas and Hezbollah

•While the Palestinian narrative was fully represented, Israel’s narrative on its legitimate security concerns, Arab rejectionism and terrorism was near absent

Is Israel becoming a fascist country? Seemingly that question would only be raised by someone hostile to Israel or ignorant. The ignorant could, for example, be informed of Freedom House’s high rating of Israel as a free country, or of the fact that this year Israel was accepted into the exclusively democratic OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development). 

Yet an article posted last week on ynetnews.com — an English portal closely connected to Israel’s largest daily, Yediot Aharonot — is called “Fascism in Jewish state?” At the top it features a photo of two well-known fascists. One is Mussolini, the other … guess who?

The article, penned by leftist journalist Uri Misgav, goes on to quote mostly far-left Israeli academics who confirm that … yes, fascism is just around the corner in Israel. Israeli readers of Yediot, where the column first appeared in Hebrew, know that Israeli academia, particularly humanities and social-science departments, is a hotbed of far-left views. In Israel’s 2009 elections, the party representing such views, Meretz, won all of three Knesset seats out of 120.
