UNESCO’s Grotesque Embrace of Che Guevara

With an impeccable instinct for venerating murderous thugs, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has now added to its Memory of the World Register the writings of Cuba’s Ernesto “Che” Guevara. That means that the documents generated by Che during his bloody career will now be treated as historical treasures, protected and cared for with the help of UNESCO. What’s next? The teachings of Stalin and Pol Pot?

Obama wants to skirt US law to give money to corrupt UN Agency

JointMedia News Service — President Barack Obama has proposed to renew funding for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with $79 million. UNESCO agreed to admit “Palestine” as a member last October, after which the US government cut off funding to the organization.

According to the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, current US law prohibits contributions to any UN body granting membership to the PLO or any other “organization or group that does not have the internationally recognized attributes of statehood.” However, according to the White House’s 2013 Budget Request, which was submitted to Congress earlier this month, “the Department of State intends to work with Congress to seek legislation that would provide authority to waive restrictions on paying the US assessed contributions to UNESCO,” reported Israel Hayom.

UNESCO is shocked!..shocked that the Palestinian Authority pays for the praise of Hitler in Arabic, despite all the nice things they say in English

Palestinian hero?
UNESCO, the UN's cultural agency, which recently has its US and Canadian funding pulled for prejudicing the Mideast peace process by recognizing Palestine as a state, was shocked to learn they were co-funding a magazine that praised Adolf Hitler's attempt to exterminate the Jews. The magazine is also funded by the Palestinian Authority.

UNESCO issued a statement that it "strongly deplores and condemns the reproduction of such inflammatory statements in a magazine associated with UNESCO's name and mission."

Or they were just embarrassed that it became public knowledge.

Take your pick.
