The New York Times writes that “after days of near silence,” Prime Minister Netanyahu condemned the murder of a Palestinian teenager on Sunday. But Netanyahu called the murder “reprehensible” on Wednesday, the day it occurred, and the next day, in his first public appearance since the murder, again forcefully condemned the killing on prime-time national television. Argentina’s Strengthening Ties with Iran

In January 2013, the Kirchner government signed a pact establishing a joint “truth commission” with Tehran. Despite its Orwellian name, the only purpose of this commission is to whitewash Iran’s responsibility for the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, known as the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (“AMIA”), in which 84 individuals died and 300 more were injured.

To date, no one has been brought to justice for this crime due to the Argentine government’s mishandling of the AMIA investigation. Nevertheless, Argentine prosecutors, the U.S. Government and Interpol have publically accused the Iranian government of directing the attack and using the terrorist group Hezbollah to carry it out. Interpol has issued arrest warrants for six Iranians in connection with the bombing.

Despite the clear and unambiguous findings of Argentina’s own prosecutors, the Kirchner government’s deal with Tehran gives Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, more diplomatic clout and threatens to absolve its leaders of responsibility for the attack.

Missing Native women - a tragedy with grossly exaggerated numbers and political motives

Back in 2005, under Prime Minister Paul Martin’s Liberal government, an agency called Status of Women Canada gave a $10 million grant to the Native Women’s Association of Canada. The money was earmarked for the NWAC’s Sisters in Spirit Initiative with the intention of building a national database of missing indigenous women & girls.

The project was very successful at raising awareness- right to the point where their rallying cry of 600 missing and murdered women was announced on the floor of parliament. Unfortunately, it appears there are significant questions about the integrity of their database- arguably the most important part of the project.

Earlier this month the RCMP made a statement about the Sisters In Spirit initiative that caught a lot of people’s attention. First, they said that the NWAC only provided them with 118 names our of the 582 they claimed to have in their database- no explanation has been provided for the remaining 464 cases. When RCMP staff searched the 118 names released they were only able to confirm 54 cases listed in police databases.

Forgotten amid western fears of domination by the juggernaut of the Chinese economy is that modernity has not yet reached most of the one billion plus people in the People's Republic.

Other than business news and the occasional human rights story, there is little occidentals hear about internal Chinese goings on. But the proprietor of a local restaurant who keeps up with news from home told me about this story that a Korean news service broke about the Chines government warning people off capsules that supposedly have invigorating powers and are made from human flesh.

Keep in mind that tigers and white rhinoceroses have been hunted to near extinction because of eastern belief that their body parts were essential for traditional remedies and aphrodisiacs.

Apparently, human flesh is believed by some in China to have similar properties.

The story reports that there are "deadly super bacteria" in the human flesh capsules being sold there.

If true, this sort of thing could explain why such devastating viruses have originated in that part of the world.

In other horrifying news from abroad, four students at the Nigerian University of Port Harcourt were tortured and burnt alive after being accused of stealing laptops and cell phones. The video can be viewed here, but be warned,  it is extremely graphic and disturbing.

Israeli Apartheid Week in Gaza: Celebration of the murder of 3 children, aged 11, 3, and a baby, by passing out candy and dancing in the street.

The headline tells the story. It's disgusting and incomprehensibly barbaric.

This week, Judy Rebick, slow-witted Queen's University professor Abbie Bakan and some others did their best to enable making these attacks easier by trying to weaken Israel's ability to defend itself.

The answer is clear. Forget about Gaza for the foreseeable future. It's a hole. Concentrate on peace with the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.
