At a Toronto District School Board conference last year, Uzma Shakir, the Sharia Law-loving City of Toronto "Diversity" Manager, gave a sanctimonious speech about how paternalistic and condescending Canadians are towards people like her by assuming they come from inferior cultures.
She went on to blather about how Pakistani culture is every bit as advanced and cosmopolitan as ours and how we should be embracing it more here.
Leaving aside the obvious, unanswered question about why, if Pakistan is so great, was she and her husband so willing to abandon it, was she also referring to the "superior" Pakistani practice of executing Gay people for being Gay?

Pride Toronto promotes group with ties to murder and persecution of Gays
Pride Toronto had maintained the lie that they included the hate group Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, not because they were interested in promoting anti-Semitic message of the fanatical activists, but because they did not want to 'censor' the Pride Festival.
Toronto Sun reporter Sue Ann Levy has long maintained that Pride Toronto`s supposed neutrality when it came to Queers Against Israeli Apartheid was a sham. Now, with the commitment from Toronto City Council to deliver almost $150,000 in cash plus provide far more in services like Police support to the annual event, the veneer has fallen and Pride Toronto has shown its overt support for the anti-Israel group, promoting its most recent event on the official Pride website.
This comes as no surprise. Last month, after delivering a deputation to Toronto's Executive Committee about the inappropriateness of providing tax funds to Pride if it is a platform for a hate group, I overheard something interesting outside the Committee Room.
The heads of Pride Toronto and the representatives of Queers Against Israeli Apartheid were discussing and coordinating strategy between them.
However, Pride Toronto`s involvement with Queers Against Israeli Apartheid should be of serious concern, and not just because it is an affront to every taxpayer in Toronto who is subsidizing the festival.
Pride Toronto has chosen to promote a group whose senior members have shown support for countries and individuals that promote the persecution and even murder of Gays because of nothing other than their sexuality.
Queers Against Israeli Apartheid`s spokespeople have supported and held banners at Toronto`s al Quds Day rally, which along with its goal of eliminating Israel is also a show of solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, where the persecution and execution of homosexuals is entrenched policy. The rally is largely driven by one of Iran`s chief acolytes in Canada, the notorious Islamist hatemonger Zafar Bangash.
Bangash has called for Muslims to dominate what is now Israel and impose Sharia Law there. Given his outspoken devotion to the Khomeinist leadership of Iran, it is safe to assume that the version of Sharia Bangash wants for Israel would be the same as Iran, which he describes as representing `the true values of Islam today. They make us proud of Islam!`
Israel is the only country in the middle east to recognize Gay marriage and have laws protecting Gay Rights. The values of the nation admired by the man who holds rallies that Pride Toronto-promoted Queer`s Against Israeli Apartheid`s leaders attend in support include hanging Gay men from cranes as punishment for their `sins.`
Pride Toronto nor even the vapid hatemongers of Queers Against Israeli Apartheid are likely to condone the persecution of Gays.
But in the case of Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, they are a group comprised of fanatics who are devoted to an anti-capitalist, anti-western ideology and they are willing to make common cause with virtually anyone they see as allies.
Their interest is not Gay rights, but taking down America, and America's allies, of which they consider Israel to be particularly vulnerable, and therefore a ripe target.
Making the fatuous argument that Israel, where Palestinians enjoy more civil rights than in virtually any Muslim country, is an apartheid state, is transparent bigotry as well as absurd propaganda. But Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, as the preposterous name of the group suggests, are not comprised of particularly intelligent individuals. Many of them have obvious psychological problems. They make the absurd, narcissistic claim that Israel's support for Gay rights is not based on respect for Human Rights but is what they call "pinkwashing". From the appearance of the ratty group of unkempt clowns in Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, "pink" isn't the only type of washing they oppose. These HamasSexuals might better describe themselves as Queers Against Personal Hygiene.
These idiotic, posturing radicals blame Palestinian persecution of Gays on Israel. So how do they explain the persecution of Gays throughout the Muslim world that is so closely linked with the Palestinian cause? Is the persecution of Gays in Iran, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia also all because of Israeli Apartheid? In the unlikely event that Queers Against Israeli Apartheid ever got their way, that same murderous oppression would extend into the one sanctuary that Gays have in the Middle East.
At last month's Toronto Executive Committee meeting, a Gay physician, Dr. Paul Druzin, said he does not want his "Gay tax dollars" to fund Pride if it includes a hate group like Queers Against Israeli Apartheid.
The fact that Pride Toronto supports such a group is an insult not just to Gays in Toronto like Dr. Druzin, but to anyone who is concerned about the persecution of Gays throughout the world. This obscene cooperation between the so-called Queers Against Israeli Apartheid and Pride Toronto not only discredits Pride's leadership, but calls the suitability of Toronto to host the World Pride Festival next year into question.

Sharia Horror in UAE - Australian woman raped then jailed for having illicit sex
A horrendous story of the horrors of Islamic Sharia Law in the United Arab Emirates where an Australian woman was drugged and raped.

What Alicia didn’t know is that under the UAE’s strict sharia laws, if the perpetrator does not confess, a rape cannot be convicted without four adult Muslim male witnesses. She was charged with having illicit sex outside marriage, and thrown in a filthy jail cell for eight months.

Islamists upset with topless feminists of Femen
The values of Islam and those of the western world are in many ways in stark conflict with each other.
It explains a lot of why contemporary Islamists and Marxists often make common cause. Both have disdain for individual rights and freedoms, no respect for free speech (other than their own), and of course there's the whole 'killing people who don't agree with you' thing, of which those two totalitarian ideologies have long and storied histories.
In fairness, Islam isn't the only religion to have gone through such a phase. Christianity was much the same during the Middle Ages. But of concern is the fact that Islamists today are behaving the way The Inquisition did five hundred years ago.
If criticism of the totalitarian aspects of Islam is "Islamophobia", then Islamophobia is going to be a growth industry. But like Nazism and Marxism, Islamism is going to have its advocates. What makes Islamists particularly disgusting is the way they claim to be victims when they are criticized for seeking out and victimizing innocent people.
A "Muslim feminist," if that isn't too much of an oxymoron to grasp, has written a condemnation of the theatrical and rather ridiculous feminist group Femen. There is much to criticize Femen about in the idiotic way they behave during their protests, but the issues they address are legitimate concerns about women's rights. And nowhere are women's rights given less status than in countries ruled by Islamic law.
Hajer Nali's article Femen's Islam-Bashing Disregards Muslim Feminism in Women's Enews makes the disingenuous apologies for Islamism under the guise of "Muslim feminism" all the more apparent. Tunisian Islamists have called for the death of Tunisian Femen activist Amina Tyler for posting a topless picture of herself with "My body in mine, nobody's honor" written on her torso. What stood out in Nali's article about this was her comment, "Extremists called for her to be stoned to death, which is condemnable."
Those last three words are indicative of Islamists' perfidy; "which is condemnible." In civilized countries, we don't need to make a special point that it is wrong to want to stone a women to death, particularly just for posting a topless picture of herself with a slogan asserting her own rights.
Why would Ms Nali feel compelled to add that, especially in a western publication?
Did she want to reinforce that, unlike other Muslim feminists who thought it was fine to stone Amina Tyler to death for her topless statement, she didn't agree with that sentiment? Was it to instruct those of us, or perhaps her co-religionists, who want to kill Tyler that we should not? Or was it an insincere but perfunctory nod to western, liberal sensibilities?
What is more of concern is that in a publication in a country where Sharia Law is practiced, "which is condemnible" would likely be replaced by ":which is demanded by the honor of Islam, and should be carried out immediately."
That is something we should be afraid of, and we should do everything in our power to prevent from spreading over here.

It's become a crime to drive with Israeli flags in Dearborn Michigan
"On 9-14-2012, Dearborn Fordson High School principal called the police on me for driving with 2 Israeli flags on my truck.
"The Dearborn police were one car behind me when this student threw a bottle on my windshield. The police did not stop the student, but instead stopped me for 30 minutes asking me why I would display Israeli flags on my truck."

Ontario's Ministry of Education is failing both students and parents
The purpose of education is to provide children with the skills they need to become productive members of society. For each of us, 'productive' may have a different meaning, and it is very much in the interests of the public to ensure that their concept of the word is the same as that of the people who decide what type of education Ontario's children receive.
The curriculum and guidelines for schools are not formulated at the local level. They come from the Ministry of Education. Anyone familiar with the civil service and nature of government knows that while the Minister is a politician who bears the responsibility of decisions and policies that emanate from their ministry, they personally do not create those policies. Frequently, the Minister may not even fully understand them. Policies are created by policy advisers who are usually full-time civil servants.
In the case of Canadian Ministries of Education, many of those advisers were gathered from places like the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), which is a hotbed for radical forms of social engineering that they are imposing, by stealth, on the general population.
We live in a world of innovation where huge segments of the workforce are employed in technologically-based occupations that didn't even exist a generation ago. The skills needed to succeed in a competitive global environment are to a large extent technological ones, requiring understanding of mathematics, physics, biology, and the like. All subjects which are culturally neutral and where solutions to questions aren't subjective but can be demonstrably proven.
Yet the Ontario Ministry of Education, its Minister and its policy advisers are a nest of social engineers, who appear more concerned with imposing their social values on future generations than with providing them the education they need to live successful lives.
OISE programs like Sociology and Equity Studies and other of the institutes's programs with their focus on subcategories like Gender Studies, Queer Studies, and their fixation on a neo-Marxist concept of social values have produced graduates who have been absorbed into the Ministry of Education. They have used their positions to promulgate those ideas from the elementary level upward.
They are even going so far as to try to indoctrinate children with these ideas in mathematics, where OISE professor Indigo Esmode, who sports rings in her nostril and lower lip, (because as we all know, nothing demonstrates a commitment to intellectual development and promotion of social values like the willingness to stick pieces of metal through your face) is being financed to promote instillation of "social justice" in math class. While that may not sound frightening on its surface, the concept of social justice coming from an institute where open admiration of Che Guevara is de rigeur may not be those with which the average Ontario parent wants to have their child indoctrinated. In fact examples of Social Justice in Math that OISE has already promoted, such as the idea that the world's social problems would all go away if the US military budget were used to address them, betrays a frightening ignorance of history geo-politics, and international conflicts. It is that type of foolishness that undermines any confidence in their ability to either promote values that are in the best interests of society or to teach basic math properly.
The Ministry of Education, through the Toronto District School Board, is even promoting a conference featuring a radical American polemicist named Tim Wise, who under the guise of equity, makes a living promoting racial differences between people and wants more focus in race in schools. To compound that, Education Minister Laurel Broten is effectively endorsing the conference which also features a proponent of the use of Islamic Sharia Law in Ontario's Family Court system.
There isn't nearly enough public awareness of what goes on in school classes, both in terms of the curriculum, or the messages that are being sent to children through their design. Teachers are the front-line workers who interpret the government's dictates in schools. For the most part, Ontario's teachers are dedicated, outstanding individuals. Most of them are smart enough to ignore some of the sillier dictates that come from above. But like in any profession, there are quite a few who are substandard or have simply lost interest. The price that all of us, as a society, pay when students are subjected to idiotic policies delivered by those incompetent practitioners is not one that we should have to bear.
