Big Chief Jenny Craig calls Senator Patrick Brazeau a "typical colonized Indian asshole."

Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence took to Twitter Thursday to call Senator Patrick Brazeau a "typical colonized indian asshole."
Brazeau, a first nations man who has long been critical of fiscal accountability on reserves, was tweeting about the celebrations to end Spence's hunger strike Thursday when Spence shot back with the vitriolic tweet.

In related news, a CBC polls indicates that most Canadians think Theresa Spence's soup diet was a waste of time.

Palestinian "human rights" group chairman calls Holocaust a "fairy tale"

In an article that sounds more like a parody of a supervillain from an Austin Powers movie than a serious representative of the Palestinian people a call for "the Zionist entity" to pay $500 billion dollars to Egypt for  "crimes against Egyptian people and state" was punctuated with a description of the Holocaust as a "fairy tale."

Mustafa Ahmed Abul Khail, the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Palestinian Association for Human Rights, provided yet another example of the idiocy and backwardness that characterizes the Palestinian leadership and has made the Middle East peace process such a seemingly impossible task.

Compounding these difficulties is Egypt's recently-elected Muslim Brotherhood President, who has, in the tradition of Islamic anti-Semitism,  called Jews "the descendants of pigs and apes" and by means of explanation, told a US Senate delegation that the problem was due to the fact that Jews control the media.

The fanaticism, ignorance and hatred that is so pervasive Arab and Islamic countries will present a tremendous ongoing obstacle to their ability to be taken seriously by the west. As western hypocritical so-called progressives will accuse criticism of Islamic countries as "racis,t" they continue to patronizingly absolve those countries of the most vile racist practices. The reality for those familiar with the regressive left is that their racism exceeds no bounds and is only surpassed by their dim-witted sanctimony.

Rand Paul takes Secretary of State Clinton to task over Bengazi

Obama's Progressive Vision: A World Without Political Opposition

Let no one accuse President Obama of a lack of vision. In broad strokes, the president’s inaugural speech painted a picture of a modern progressive state, technocratic and competent, muscular in its efforts and far-reaching in scope, capable of intricate micromanagement when necessary but also willing to take big steps to fix the big problems that liberals deem in need of fixing, whatever they may be. Obama defended the entitlement system, talked up the value of public infrastructure and environmental action, and explicitly tied the nation’s greatness to its ability and willingness to undertake whatever grand—and presumably public—reform efforts Obama and his fellow liberals imagine.

Britian's Prime Minister Cameron is feeling the pressure from UKIP's Farage

LONDON (Reuters) - Prime Minister David Cameron will promise on Wednesday to give Britons a straight referendum choice on whether to stay in the European Union or leave, provided he wins an election in 2015.
Cameron will end months of speculation by announcing in a speech the plan for a vote sometime between 2015 and 2018, shrugging off warnings that this could imperil Britain's diplomatic and economic prospects and alienate its allies.
In extracts of the speech released in advance by his office, Cameron said public disillusionment with the EU is at "an all-time high".

CUPE forces hospital patients to see self-mutilated staff members

The Ottawa Hospital’s pioneering attempt to impose a dress code on its staff has been struck down by a labour arbitrator, who ruled there was no justification for ordering workers to cover up their tattoos and remove their piercings.
Defending a policy considered unique in Canadian health care, the hospital had argued the body art could be disturbing to patients who need all the help they can get to recover.
Arbitrator Lorne Slotnick agreed some of the hospitals’ older patients might have a more negative first impression of a nurse sporting a tattoo or nose ring, but concluded there was no evidence the adornments affected patient health.
Great, next time you're in hospital. you can look forward to your nurse looking like this:

More politicized brainwashing of children by the Toronto District School Board

Reading, writing, arithmetic. There was a time when primary school was created to provide the basics of education. But the people responsible for education in Toronto see another value in having a captive audience of impressionable young minds.

Napoleon Bonaparte recognized that schools could be used not only to teach, but to instill a particular set of values that was useful to his authority and made sure that a curriculum was created instilling ideological values that suited his ability to rule. That approach to education has become a routine facet of totalitarian societies ever since, being used by the Soviets and the Nazis in the last century and in dictatorships like Iran, North Korea and Cuba today.

It should be alarming to Ontarians that the ideologues who run the Toronto District School Board (TDSB)  who are determined to shift the thinking in society to their socialist goals are utilizing the same process as dictatorships to indoctrinate the children entrusted to their care.

In a democracy with a public education system, schools aren't supposed to indoctrinate children to a particular political party. However if the goal is indoctrination rather than education, then that rule doesn't apply. This accounts for the TDSB's publication of a poem titled Election Day by a Grade 1 student named Ahmed Nur from Shoreham Public School:

The poem is a paean to the New Democratic Party that seems suspiciously unlike something an unprompted 7 year old would compose independently. Even if little Ahmed has developed pre-pubescent political partisanship, it it completely inappropriate for the TDSB to publish something of that nature unless they were exhibiting students advocacy of all Canada's major political parties. Did the TDSB print other poems extolling the Liberal and Conservative parties? Of course not.

The message the TDSB want to instill in it's students is even more clearly delineated in the "Earth Hour Rap" it made available at the School Board's website, which contains lyrics such as:

But can we save the world, before all we know is gone?
These corporations are all filled with nothing but actors
Trying to take us out, break our back like chiropractors

and:

I'm expressing my mind, it's like I'm stressing for time
Watching every second before this hour is gone
It's Al Gore and Suzuki combined into one
All I say is real, and I ain't gonna be fake.
So let me ask you, how much more can you take?

If this blatant type of indoctrination is worrisome, don't expect it to get any better. With a looming leadership race to determine the next Premier of Ontario, one of the leading candidates is Kathleen Wynne, whom the fanatically politicized Ontario Institute for Studies in Education boasts is one of its graduates. If you think things are bad now, wait until the province has an OISE Premier running the show.

While at the TDSB's "Futures" conference last spring, which promoted equity in schools by attributing the ills in the education system to "white privilege," to an audience of credulous educators, I was sitting at a table  during lunch with a group of young teachers.. One of them, a male in his early thirties', earnestly related to the group how his mission was not to teach his students what to think, but how to think.  That sort of self-serving, self-righteous pomposity typifies the thinking in Ontario's Ministry of Education and The Toronto District School Board.

Human beings are born with the innate ability to think. School exists to provide students with information that they can utilize to advance themselves and to reapply in the various circumstances they will find themselves in life. When someone at the  TDSB  says he or she wants to teach their students how to think, what they mean is they want to teach their students how to think exactly the same way as their teachers.

That's not education, it's brainwashing, and it's something the public should be doing everything in its power to prevent from happening to our children.

Blackadder preserves Britons' right to be insulting: Ministers agree to amend laws after campaign led by Rowan Atkinson

Ministers agreed to scrap a law outlawing ‘insulting words or behaviour’ last night after a campaign led by comedian Rowan Atkinson.
Home Secretary Theresa May announced a dramatic U-turn yesterday saying the government would ditch the contentious words from the Public Order Act amid fears that they are strangling free speech.
The Blackadder and Mr Bean star led a coalition of campaign groups complaining that the legislation has been abused by over-zealous police and prosecutors to arrest Christian preachers, critics of Scientology, gay rights campaigners and even students making jokes.

Bangash and other acolytes of the Iranian dictatorship are deeply tied to leftist groups like the Canadian Peace Alliance and to Canada's New Democratic Party.

Important lessons from the Nortel trial

On Jan. 14, 2013, nearly nine years after the claimed fraud was alleged to have occurred, Ontario Superior Court Judge Frank Marrocco dismissed all charges against former Nortel Networks Corporation chief executive Frank Dunn as well as former chief financial officer Douglas Beatty and former controller Michael Gollogly.

All three executives were accused of defrauding Nortel and the public by deliberately misrepresenting Nortel’s financial results between 2001 and 2004, in order to maximize corporate bonuses due to them. The demise of Nortel — a telecom giant — is complex and the context of the telecommunications industry at that time is important to a deeper and more penetrating understanding of what went wrong.

The "Victimology" Subterfuge

To question or discuss Islam, or any religion, is not racism, it is not hate, it is not necessarily meant to "victimize" anyone. One is often left with the impression that if anyone ever felt that Mohammed, or Islam, even might have been insulted, no freedom-loving person can expect to be left in peace ever again. Canada and the West need to declare and defend a pluralistic, democratic approach to rights and freedoms without any shame, and without fear of offending anyone who might try to intimidate their citizens.
Islamists, who have, like many others, found ways of influencing Western democracies, have refined one process in particular, called al Taqiyya [dissimulation], sanctioned to promote Islam to "unbelievers" or "infidels," if and when considered necessary. The word "Islamophobia," for instance, has been disguised and misused so frequently that when Westerners merely question Islam, or its role in terrorism, they risk being branded as "Islamophobes" or "racists." The term "victimology," in which Islamists perpetually portray Muslims as victims of racism or of "colonialists" or "imperialists," has also generated impressive results in vanquishing the infidel, and providing Islam an immunity from criticism and satirical depictions. As a result, whenever the subject about Islam is raised, open dialogue, media and public discourse are restricted or shut down out of fear of being branded "Islamophobic" or "racist," even where no such sentiments may have been present. No other religion even attempts to obtain such blanket immunity.

More on today's Nortel trial verdict

James Bagnall in the Ottawa Citizen has done a consistently good job on covering this trial.

From his wrap-up:

..the Crown produced no evidence challenging how and why Nortel put liabilities on its balance sheet. Nor was the Crown convincing when it alleged that Nortel’s accountants bent the rules when they removed liabilities to manipulate earnings. Crown prosecutor Robert Hubbard asserted that proof of the fraud lay in the fact that Nortel was forced to re-state its numbers a second time in 2005. But Marrocco considered a raft of documents showing that the re-stated numbers reflected differences of opinion and judgment about how to apply the relevant accounting standards.

Indeed, it was the defence that provided the lion’s share of evidence — and this showed that Nortel’s auditors, Deloitte, signed off on all the accounting entries the Crown alleged were done fraudulently. The real weakness of the Crown’s case was its failure to address motive and its apparent lack of understanding about how a large multinational conducts its business.

The full ruling from Mr. Justice Marrocco:

Nortel Fraud Trial Verdict due today

Three men accused of perpetrating the largest fraud in Canadian Securities history are anxiously awaiting to hear whether Judge Frank Marrocco will decide that their lives and reputations are ruined or if they are the victims of a politicized and inept prosecution case.

The judge will most likely not frame the case in those terms, but over the course of a lengthy, expensive trail, the prosecution has not offered a shred of actual evidence that former Nortel executives Frank Dunn, Douglas Beatty and Michael Gollogly conspired to commit fraud. Indeed, a great deal of evidence was offered by the defense to establish that everything the defendants did at Nortel was disclosed to and had the approval of the firm's auditors, Delloite and Touche.

The RCMP unit that gathered the evidence for the Nortel case is feeling apprehension about the outcome, as the only major conviction the ever secured was the slam-dunk Drabinsky fraud trial. The apparent reason for Nortel's ills was the legal, if stupid spending spree on ultimately near-worthless dot-com investments that the Board made before the executives on trail headed the company. The Nortel collapse was the biggest financial tumble in Canada, and will billions lost to investors, there was enormous pressure to find scapegoats and the Board was hardly likely to offer themselves up.

The Ottawa Citizen's James Bagnall is at the University Avenue courthouse this morning and will be live tweeting updates. The Globe and Mail has a crew live tweeting too.

Going off the reservation: Pseudo-natives plan protest against Sun Media

A handful of Natives along with a bunch of oddball white folk who like to pretend they have native roots, plus some of the usual, bitter suspects from the perpetually-aggrieved left are planning a protest against Sun Media this coming Saturday.

Ostensibly, the cause of their ire is alleged anti-First Nations "racism" from Sun Media, but that is rather clearly a ruse for the attention-whores involved with the protest. What has really got their goat is how Sun News has exposed the corruption, waste and malfeasance occurring on many Native reserves that is being funded by the Canadian taxpayer.

Sun has also led the way in showing that the preposterous Idle No Move protests are staged nonsense. When its icon, Theresa Spence, went on a so-called hunger strike, it was Sun News that showed how she is actually taking in more calories during her supposed fast than the average Ethiopian on a regular day. The links between the union-funded, withering Occupy movement and Idle No More has also been something people affiliated with the later group were enraged at Sun News for having exposed.

Among the participants who have so far signed up on the protest's facebook page are public service union honcho John Baglow, who operates the blog Dr. Dawg. Baglow was the plaintiff in a libel suit he launched, and lost, because his feelings were hurt in a rancorous online debate.

Another particiant is a reporter from the fanatically radical, neo-Marxist website rabble.ca, the operating budget of which is mainly funded by unions and is published by the spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies. Krystalline Kraus is rabble.ca's resident Indian-o-phile whose facile writing refers to North America as "Turtle Island," a pseudo-Native sounding term that was invented by white leftist activists in the 1970's and has no history of use by Native tribes in North America. Of course, there is no evidence to suggest that  First Nations ever believed the North American continent was an island. It took stupid white leftists to invent that version of history.

Kraus actually credulously reported, evidently based on wishful thinking and delusion,  that a defrocked, discredited United Church Minister and fringe Native movement hanger-on named Kevin Annett "performed an exorcism rite in St. Peter's Square, which was followed 12 hours later by a tornado - almost unprecedented in that time and place - which devastated central Rome and the Vatican."

For similar stupidity and a collection of unhinged weirdness, you can watch the protest Saturday afternoon - the details are at the group's facebook page.

Skippy Stalin's thoughts on Django Unchained

I saw Quentin Tarantino's latest last week and thought it was a pretty good movie, though perhaps a trifle longer than it needed to be.

As to the controversy it's engendered, Skippy Stalin over at Postcards of the Hanging has said everything I was thinking, so his words will do very well:

Django Unchained is a flick that I can't pass up writing about because it does the one thing I look for most most in life: It reaffirms my faith in human stupidity. The things in modern society that make people almost reflexively dumb have always been my favorite and always will be. That's, as the kids say, just how I roll.

When I heard that Quentin Tarantino's next project would be a spaghetti western set in the antebellum slavery era, I knew that the world's worst people would be set of into fits of apoplectic shitheadery. The buzz in the week or so prior to the movie's release confirmed that. All the right people were getting powerfully indignant, which made Django Unchained a "must see" for me.

Much has been written about Django Unchained and almost all of it misses the point. Instead of critiquing the film like a normal human being would, every half-wit in Christendom has used it to espouse their own moronic political perspectives, which goes a long way in proving that people who see politics in everything should probably be buried alive.

With Chris Spence's departure, the Toronto District School Board could get even worse

One of the ironies of the humiliating plagiarism scandal at the Toronto District School Board that led to the resignation of Education Director Chris Spence is that it need never have happened.

Spence got his EdD. degree at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, a place with such ridiculously low standards that he could have written a 120 word essay about his feelings and still have been awarded an advanced degree from them.

Naturally, as is her style, OISE Dean Julia O'Sullivan has not commented on the controversy. But it is interesting that it took a Globe and Mail researcher one day of inquiry to find Spence's plagiarism, while it went unnoticed by OISE professors and thesis advisers who are supposed to be experts in the field.

But those who think Spence's resignation is a victory over the TDSB's ludicrous so-called social justice agenda are wrong. The people waiting in the wings to take over from Spence are no better and in all likelihood may be even worse. These same people participated in the TDSB and Ministry of Education's "Futures" conference, where all the ills in the education system were blamed on white privilege. At that same conference, keynote speaker Uzma Shakir, a woman who once wrote that Muslim immigrants don't owe full loyalty to Canada because of the government's pro-Israel policies, condemned Canada as a paternalistic, racist society while lavishing praise on her native Pakistan.

Spence's successors will still push race-based nonsense in classrooms, plus neo-Marxist activism disguised as education.

The only way change will happen is if pressure is put on politicians at the provincial level, because ultimately it is the provincial Ministry of Education that is responsible for the school curriculum. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't continue to also pressure your local school Trustee, because they are politicians too and need to be reminded they can be removed from office at the next election.

And the mainstream media in Canada wonders why it is losing credibility

TDSB director Chris Spence steps down amid plagiarism scandal

Toronto District School Board director Chris Spence has resigned his post amid a plagiarism scandal that is widening by the minute.
In a statement issued Thursday afternoon, TDSB chair Chris Bolton noted: “Today, I have accepted the resignation of Director of Education Chris Spence from his position with the Toronto District School Board. This resignation is effective immediately.

UPDATE: It has emerged that former TDSB director Spence plagiarised his PhD. dissertation too - does that mean we can stop having to call him "Doctor"?

More dysfunction at the Toronto District School Board

Toronto District School Board director Chris Spence, who has admitted to plagiarizing parts of an opinion piece he submitted in last Sunday’s Toronto Star, appears to have done it before.
Mr. Spence apologized in an open letter posted to the board’s website on Wednesday for failing to “give proper credit” to sources — including a 1989 New York Times story — in the article about the importance of extracurricular sports.
However, the National Post has found several instances in which Mr. Spence seems to have taken information from other articles without crediting them.

Is it an "instinct" and absolutely universal in the human species, or is but a response to frustration, as the "frustration-aggression" theorists would have it ? Chuck Schumer’s Hagel problem

Chuck Hagel (left) with then-senator Barack Obama in 2007

There probably is no more important senator on the Chuck Hagel nomination than Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). Hagel could still lose even if Schumer supports him (either because of a GOP filibuster or near-unanimous disapproval from Republicans and a few breakaway Democrats up for reelection in 2014). However, there is no way, given Schumer’s prominence on Israel issues and the pressure his decision would generate on Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) and other pro-Israel Democrats, that Hagel could survive if Schumer opposed him.
So far Schumer has been entirely, eerily noncommittal, suggesting that he was either not consulted or that his consultation was ignored by the White House. The most disturbing headline Tuesday for the pro-Hagel team (aside from praise for Hagel from the Chinese government and the mullahs in Iran) was this: “Schumer Won’t Predict if Hagel Will Be Confirmed.”

Attawapiskat audit reads like an episode of Seinfeld

Reading the newly released Attawapiskat audit, coupled with the affidavit sworn last year by Clayton Kennedy, Chief Theresa Spence's boyfriend and co-manager of the beleaguered reserve, I am reminded of one of my favourite episodes of the old Seinfeld series.

Kramer is pitching a scam to Jerry, whereby he wants Jerry to claim his broken stereo, which Kramer has conveniently insured, was damaged in transit, and thus get the post office to pay for it.
Jerry objects, albeit feebly, and Kramer protests that "It's a write-off for them."

"How is it a write-off?" Jerry asks.

"They just write it off," Kramer replies.

"Write off what?" Jerry says, then snorts, "You don't even know what a write-off is, do you?"

"Do you?" Kramer asks.

"No I don't," says Jerry.

"But they do," Kramer explains slowly. "And they're the ones writing it off."

Japan TV films real-life Kraken!

Scientists and broadcasters have captured footage of an elusive giant squid, up to eight meters (26 feet) long that roams the depths of the Pacific Ocean.

Japan's National Science Museum succeeded in filming the deep-sea creature in its natural habitat for the first time, working with Japanese public broadcaster NHK and the US Discovery Channel.
The massive invertebrate is the stuff of legend, with sightings of a huge ocean-dwelling beast reported by sailors for centuries.
The creature is thought to be the genesis of the Nordic legend of Kraken, a sea monster believed to have attacked ships in waters off Scandinavia over the last millennium.

Ottawa Catholic School Board officials lie about taking kids to US to work for Obama

I’m not sure what kind of penance a priest would give for lying to an entire city, but Catholic school principal Norma McDonald may soon find out.
Through the release of internal e-mails, memos and other documents via the freedom of information act, it is clear McDonald either lied to the media and the public last fall or had no clue what she was agreeing to when she approved a controversial field trip.
McDonald is the principal of St. Peter’s High School in Orléans that garnered national attention over a planned field trip where Grade 11 civics students would “observe” the American election. A parent complained the trip was an endorsement of Democratic candidate Barack Obama. The parent said it was inappropriate for Catholic school students to campaign for Obama given his strong support for abortion.
McDonald, of course, said that was not the case.

Why you should support Blazing Cat Fur

One of the real benefits the Internet has brought to society is the advent of the Citizen Journalist.

Mainstream media is beset by a number of conflicting interests. They have advertisers they must make sure are not offended, political interests they fear can harm their financial interests. Big media is made up of people and people have biases. These biases are reflected in their output. Democracies may have (to varying extents) free speech, but self-interest and those same biases can lead to self-censorship and selective reporting.

That's where bloggers can make a big difference.

Unconstrained by some of the same concerns, yet operating with far fewer resources, some dedicated individuals have made it their mission to see that matters that affect the public interest are out there so that people can be aware of them.

And sometimes, these bloggers do this at significant risk. They can be subject to threats to personal safety and are sometimes subject to frivolous law suits.

That's what is happening to the most important of Canada's political bloggers -  Blazing Cat Fur.

Blazing Cat Fur has exposed a vast number of items about malfeasance in the education system, government, Islamic radicalism and media hypocrisy. His coverage has often forced the issues into the mainstream media and has led to government action.

Blazing Cat Fur, at his own expense, has been standing up for the average Canadian and is now being sued by one of Canada's most prolific serial litigators. It's a lawsuit that probably wouldn't hold up in the USA, but because of Canada's antiquated libel laws, Blazing Cat Fur is forced to fight it in court.

He has been standing up for you, and now it's your turn to stand up for him.

There is a fundraiser for Blazing Cat Fur tonight. The details are here. If you can't show up in person, make sure you visit his page and make a donation there. By helping Blazing Cat Fur, you'll be helping the cause of free speech in Canada.

The CBC exposes Chief Spence's ineptitude and dodgy dealings at Attawapiskat

Almost exactly a year ago, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation did a scathing expose of Chief Theresa Spence's incompetent leadership and dodgy dealings at Attawapiskat. Now that she has become an icon of the anti-Harper left, the CBC has suddenly become her biggest cheerleader.

Sun TV's Ezra Levant has brought to light more of the hypocrisy and shameful, self-serving goings-on by the Attawapiskat band leadership. And at the blog GenuineWitty, the curious and hypocritical nature of the band's investment portfolio is discussed.

All this seems to suggest that the "Idle No More" protests are based on an agenda driven less by serious concerns than by a media and a neo-Marxist political agenda.  Levant has recently publicized racist aspects of Canada's Indian Act that prohibit individual property ownership and allow communal or authoritarian Native band leaders to impose rulings that would not hold up in any non-native court. These laws make First Nations reserves resemble communist dictatorships more than communities in a western democracy.

Journalism school instructor calls people “idiots” for voting Conservative

As if there wasn't enough evidence of extreme anti-Conservative bias in the media, take a look at this

The Swiss delicacy they don't talk about - cooked Rottweiler

Swiss veal

Eating Fido - or Tiddles - might be more commonly associated with China and Vietnam, but rustling up a slice of cured dog meat to enjoy as a snack is not unusual in rural areas of central and eastern Switzerland, Tages Anzeiger claims.
There are no statistics on the number of dogs and cats killed every year in Switzerland and social disapproval of dog-eating means the practice is shrouded in secrecy. No commercial abattoirs slaughter dogs or cats, but farmers in the Appenzell and St Gallen cantons in German-speaking Switzerland often slaughter the animals themselves.
The most popular breed of dog for eating is a close relative of the Rottweiler.
"There's nothing odd about it", one farmer in the Rhine Valley said. "Meat is meat."

Well Ontario's Liberal government has just preserved the union's monopoly agreement with the school board so you can look forward to more $143.00 dollar pencil sharpener installations.  The TDSB is a mismanaged money pit that wastes our money by the truckload and this is how the Liberal government has decided to answer your concerns.

Return of the Real Obama

The president is dedicated to the expansion of the welfare state.
By Charles Krauthammer

The rout was complete, the retreat disorderly. President Obama got his tax hikes — naked of spending cuts — passed by the ostensibly Republican House of Representatives. After which, you might expect him to pivot to his self-proclaimed “principle” of fiscal “balance” by taking the lead on reducing spending. “Why,” asked the Washington Post on the eve of the final “fiscal-cliff” agreement, “is the nation’s leader not embracing and then explaining the balanced reforms the nation needs?”

Because he has no interest in them. He’s a visionary, not an accountant. Sure, he’ll pretend to care about deficits, especially while running for reelection. But now that he’s past the post, he’s free to be himself — a committed big-government social democrat

Iran upset Canada is training troops in Mali to fight against Islamist rebels

Iran's English language propaganda service, PRESS TV, which recently partnered with Liberal leadership Candidate Justin Trudeau's brother and political advisor Alexandre to help obfuscate its nuclear ambitions, has been working hard recently to malign Canada. This was spurred in part by the Canadian government's decision last fall to break diplomatic relations with the Islamic dictatorship.

PRESS TV has employed a crackpot 9-11 conspiracy theorist named Joshua Blakeney to be its Canadian correspondent and true-to-form, he regularly submits bizarre conspiracy-laden pieces nonsensically accusing the Canadian government of a variety of insane-sounding transgressions.

More malevolently, Iran is trying to ferment trouble in native communities, and attempting to create a 5th column among both aboriginals and conservative Muslims living in Canada.

Those efforts are reflected in references to Canada's aboriginals in PRESS TV's story this week condemning a recent  announcement that Canadian troops will train soldiers in Mali to combat Islamist rebels in the north of that troubled African country.
