Politically Correct Indoctrination and Censorship at York University
University education is supposed to be about exploring and discussing ideas. At York University, it's about suppressing them if they don't conform to their hypocritical concepts of political correctness:

Ezra Levant provokes hypocrisy from aspirants to the `Media Party`at the Canadian University Press Conference
...He pointed out the indisputable fact that as university students who had almost no experience working an eight hour day on the floor of a factory, every single person listening to his talk — regardless of gender, race or sexuality — was a member of a very privileged, exclusive and elite group. This caused many to shift uncomfortably in their seats and others to angrily confront Levant’s own self-proclaimed status as a “rich, white conservative pundit.”
While the rest of Levant’s speech wasn’t a huge difference from what the pundit usually talks about on his TV show The Source, the University of Alberta alumnus seemed to derive pleasure from the numerous, random outbursts vilifying him throughout his speech. The loud comments from the crowd included implications that he was homophobic, racist and misogynistic even after he explicitly stated that he thought women, African-Americans and gay people were equal to men, white people and heterosexuals, and referenced women’s suffrage, the civil rights movement and the fight for LGBTQ rights as reasons for the necessity of “offensive speech.”
While the shouting came from an extremely vocal minority, that small number of outraged delegates only served to undermine the professionalism that, up until that point, had been maintained and was extremely well displayed throughout the conference. If anything, it’s their opposition to Levant that looks ridiculous.
The difference in treatment between the other keynote speakers and Levant makes one wonder, for instance, what would’ve happened if an adamant and hardcore supporter of Ford Nation had angrily interrupted Wednesday night’s keynote speaker and Toronto Star reporter Robyn Doolittle...

Foreign influences pushing radical First Nations to domestic terrorism
Worse than foreign environmental groups, the world's leading state-sponsor of terrorism has in recent years been making inroads with radical First Nations groups and individuals.

Jonathan Kay: Who would have thunk it? Angry Ezra is making media mincemeat of Saint Suzuki
Actually, Jon, a lot of us saw this coming..
..Ezra’s brilliant trick with Suzuki has been to turn the Cult of Suzuki on its head. Cults, after all, are creepy, because their social dynamic typically consists of an all-knowing father figure exercising moral suasion over legions of younger followers. Witness the episode at John Abbott College in Montreal, in which Suzuki’s team suggested that their boss be surrounded on campus by an all-female bodyguard corps.
Cults also usually reek of hypocrisy — because cult leaders, being human, never have the discipline to live by their own precepts.
“There are two David Suzukis,” Ezra writes in his most recent column for the Sun chain. “Most of us know one of the Suzukis. Let’s call him Saint Suzuki. That’s the Suzuki whose TV show on the CBC constantly lectures us about our lifestyle. He says we need to consume less, buy less and use less fossil fuels. But then there’s another Suzuki. Let’s call him Secret Suzuki, because he’s far less well-known...

Why is it that only Sun News is pointing out David Suzuki's important conflicts of interest?
It took Ezra Levant's aggressive journalistic approach to get a Superior Court Judge to remove herself from a mock trail, in which she would be dealing with issues that might have come before her in court.
"The Trial of David Suzuki" is a theatrical exercise in anti-fossil-fuel activism.
But David Suzuki's hypocrisy, proliferation of falsehood and ignorance of fact about matters on which he pontificates has only been challenged in the media by Sun News.
The role of a journalist is not just to report, but to ask tough questions.
When the answer to those questions is to turn tail and run, as David Suzuki did earlier this week, that is more revealing than a full-page spread.

Ezra Levant in court Oct. 15 over calling Canadian Islamic Rights activist a liar
...Mr. Levant’s posts were critical of Khurrum Awan, a member of the CIC who spoke at the Canadian Human Rights Commission hearings and served as its youth president. In his statement of claim filed to Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Mr. Awan said Mr. Levant suggested he was “a liar, a perjurer, an anti-Semite, a con artist, unfit to be a lawyer and has acted in a conflict of interest.”
“The plaintiff has suffered mental distress, humiliation and loss of reputation,” reads the statement of claim filed by lawyer Brian Shiller of Ruby Shiller Chan Hasan Barristers. “The plaintiff has been shunned by former friends, ridiculed in various publications and is the subject of odium and contempt.”
In his statement of defence, Mr. Levant suggests any damage to Mr. Awan’s reputation was self-inflicted.
None of the allegations have been proven in court. Neither side would comment on the case, except to confirm the court date.

John Robson on Turkish PM Erdogan's kooky anti-Semitism
In this interesting interview, John Robson ponders what Barack Obama has to say about Turkish PM Erodgan's idiocy.
In fairness, The White House came out with a strongly worded statement:
"We strongly condemn the statements that were made by Prime Minister Erdogan today. Suggesting that Israel is somehow responsible for recent events in Egypt is offensive, unsubstantiated, and wrong," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters in a briefing.

The pathetic, paranoid and hilarious world of Canada's nutcase, far-left radicals
The vapid Canadian far left sees "oppression" in just about everything.
To illustrate their cognitive impairment, it should suffice to say that they live in the most prosperous, egalitarian society in the history of the world, and complaining of its "oppression," these geniuses want to replace it with a system that has invariably lead to totalitarianism, poverty and mass-murder of civilians.
Aside from their many imagined "oppressions," there is something the intensely earnest, humorless egotists of the radical left despise even more. Whet riles them more than anything is when they are exposed as foolish hypocrites. To observe their self-discrediting idiocy, all one has to do is pay a modicum of attention to what they say and do. But the radical left has benefited from the laziness and sympathy of the mainstream media which frequently reports only a fragment of the radicals' activities and omits their most glaring acts of intellectual seppuku.
Which is why they are really, really pissed off at a blogger named Greg Renouf who operates a blog called GenuineWitty.
I've written before about the radical left's animus towards Greg. It seems that their rancor has reached new levels now that Renouf is a regular guest on Ezra Levant's show on Sun News Network. Levant is an outsider who routinely exposes the hypocrisy and stupidity of the leftist fanatics. With the inside knowledge that Greg brings, they have incurred the absolute fury of the radicals by revealing them as clownish objects of ridicule.
Componding the amusement are the pathetic efforts of some leftists to strike back. Filled with prose doused in a melange of sanctimony, vitriol and self-pity, it's hilarious reading.
Patrick Ross at Bad Company provides more detailed background here, but for a great laugh, there's no substitute for the original material at this link.

Ezra meets the Loony Left at Hamilton Line 9 protest
Ezra Levant crashes the Hamilton Line 9 Protest and the results are funny.
You may recognize some familiar faces from the loony left, like our old, and I do mean old friend, Ken Stone.
UPDATE: Ezra's column in the Sun about his coverage of the event is one of the best things he's written
