If you can afford the tuition for Columbia University, you are the 1%.
But that isn't a big deal for Columbia University Anthropology professor Hannah Appel, who is starting up a credited course in Anthropology on the discredited Occupy movement called “Occupy the Field: Global Finance, Inequality, Social Movement." Her stated goal, other than to try to impart some validity upon an incoherent protest movement is, according to the New Yotk Post, "to push back against the rhetoric of ‘disorganization’ or ‘a movement without a message.’ A frequent camper at Zuccotti Park and staunch defender of the Occupy Movement, Appel hasn't yet shared what the mysterious message of the movement that has given rise to rapes, murders, assaults and drug-overdose deaths is exactly.
Maybe you have to be able to afford the $47,000 annual tuition at Columbia to be let into that secret.
