@MinCanadaFA Why did you meet with a group that endorses terrorism? https://t.co/lTBe6qSv4J#CDNpoli pic.twitter.com/8DNU2BiGnk— Richard Klagsbrun (@KlagsbrunTO) September 14, 2016
Yesterday, Canada's Foreign Minister Stephane Dion met with representatives of a group that endorses terrorism against Israel. The organization that calls itself Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East was a sponsor of a talk in 2012 by an Eva Bartlett, at which she proclaimed the right of Hamas to launch missile attacks and other forms of violence against Israel's civilian population. "All resistance is legitimate" is a rallying cry often repeated by Bartlett, a frequent speaker at anti-Semitic al Quds Day rallies.
The deceptively named Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East is currently promoting a campaign of illegal vandalism, trying to get its supporters to place stickers on Israeli products in retail stores in order to boycott the Jewish State.
The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement that the group which Dion met with is an effort to destroy Israel. It inherently anti-Semitic in that Jews are the only people whom that group seeks to deny national self-determination. Among the movement's goals is the so-called "right of return" of millions of descendants of Palestinians to Israel proper, which would eradicate Israel as a Jewish State.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs owes Canadians an explanation as to why he gave special status to a hate group that has participated in an effort to validate the murder of innocent civilians.
