University of Toronto compulsory student fees used to fund activities the Canadian government defines as antisemitic

Students at the University of Toronto are forced, through the compulsory student activity fees they have to pay each year, to fund the radical so-called "Ontario Public Interest Research Group."

Rather than actual public interest, U of T's OPIRG funds and promotes among other things, Marxist revolutionary organizations and antisemitic boycotts of Israel.

Individual University of Toronto students can ask to have the money that is taken from them to fund this idiocy returned. But I have had U of T students contact me to say that when they do so, they face harassment and intimidation.

Now, the tax levied on unwilling University of Toronto students is being used to fund activities which are clearly defined as antisemitism by the Government of Canada.

OPIRG has a job posting up for a "Palestine Booklet Project Coordinator." The job description states: "This booklet is meant to assist those engaged in Palestine solidarity organizing by sharing strategies for organizing campus based divestment campaigns..."

The divestment campaigns mentioned are part of an antisemitic boycott strategy designed to attempt to delegitimize the Jewish State. That effort is, according to Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper, "nothing short of sickening" and is "the face of the new antisemitism."

An email sent out by OPIRG details how much they intend to spend to finance this sickening antisemitism:
"This is a part-time temporary staff position with 20 hours per week at a rate of$15/hour, for a period of three months. "
That works out to about $3600 of funds, culled from unsuspecting students, to be used at a publicly funded university to pay to promote bigotry and hatred that is explicitly condemned by the Canadian government.

I hope the University of Toronto's donors are paying attention to how their tax dollars and institutions of "higher learning" are hard at work.

Canadian Islamic leader Zafar Bangash's anti-Western, anti-African American, anti-Semitic hatemongering

A Khomeinist hatemonger residing in Canada named Zafar Bangash publishes an Islamist magazine called Crescent International.

He is also one of the prime movers behind the depraved al Quds Day demonstrations at Queen's Park in Toronto.

Bangash is the racist Imam of the Islamic Society of York Region who referred to Barack Obama as "that black man in the White House" and "the perfect Uncle Tom."

His magazine's new cover has Egypt's new leaders portrayed as the tools of a Jewish/American conspiracy.

Ezra Levant, the Left and Hate Speech Hypocrisy

As is now well-known, Ezra Levant apologized for his anti-Gypsy rant last Monday, both on-air during his Sun TV show The Source, and in print in Sun News publications.

Though they failed in their efforts to abort it before it debuted, and detesting it as they do, Canada's political left still keeps a keen eye on the Sun News Network and in particular, it's most flamboyant personality, Ezra Levant.

Levant's ability to combine rhetorical dexterity with showmanship has, on practically a weekly basis, forced attention to a variety of issues that have embarrassed Canada's left-leaning political cliques. Those include included the waste and corruption and deception by many of the leaders of the Idle No More movement, which Labor leaders and NDP and Liberal politicians had hoped to exploit as means of embarrassing Stephen Harper and his Conservative government.

Levant also ridiculed, belittled and exposed the hypocrisy of left-wing sacred cows David Suzuki and the Occupy Movement among many others.

So it was with virtual glee that the Toronto Star's editorial board and the likes of far-left media outlets such as rabble.ca and The Vancouver Observer seized on a monologue by Sun TV's Ezra Levant in which he injudiciously and unfairly characterized Gypsies as a people with a primarily criminal culture. Delighted in their outrage, immediately came calls from the left for his prosecution for Hate Crimes.

Levant's motives for apologizing, six months after-the-fact were questioned by both his detractors on the left and supporters on the right. Sun News' application for a CRTC Common Carry license and the possibility that Hate Speech charges would be pursed by Ontario's Attorney General were among the speculative reasons.

But regardless of why, Levant's words were well-crafted, sounded sincere, and explicitly retracted his earlier statements about Gypsies.

Yet desperate to silence Canadian TV's Grand Inquisitor of left-wing hypocrisy and deceit, calls for his criminal prosecution have not abated despite Levant's apology last Monday.

Which in a way, proves many of the points Levant makes when he preaches his gospel of absolute free speech and thunders about the hypocrisy and double standards of a Canadian left who would have others live by rules that they hold themselves above.

In November 2010 the National Post and later other media outlets did extensive coverage on an anti-Semitic thesis produced at the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).  The Department of Sociology and Equity Studies produced a number of theses with anti-Semitic themes, the most well-publicized of which was by a Jenny Peto wherein she accused the Jewish community of conducting Holocaust education to further the aims of "Israeli apartheid." She also, in contradiction to any credible empirical evidence, defamed the Jewish community by claiming it was dominated by "racist" ideologies.

The thesis was condemned for its anti-Semitism in the Ontario Legislature by members of both the Progressive Conservative and governing Liberal parties, including then Citizenship Minister Eric Hoskins.

Unlike Levant, who apologized for slurring an entire people, Peto doubled down, making the claim that it was she who was owed an apology after her anti-Semitic, academically inept polemic was brought to light.

Peto was roundly and vociferously condemned by conservative and pro-Israel commentators, and there were calls for an investigation into the teaching practices and deficient standards at the radical, biased, politicized Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. University of British Columbia Professor Emeritus of Sociology Werner Cohn noted that Peto's and another anti-Semitic thesis which shared OISE instructor Sheryl Nestel as a thesis adviser "consist of hate propaganda, possibly in violation of the Criminal Code of Canada," but no one among those so called "right-wing" voices actually called for criminal prosecution or Human Rights Commission proceedings against them.

And what about the left side of the political spectrum? One would expect those people who are so enthusiastic about the use of state apparatuses to penalize Hate Speech would have wanted them used in such a blatant case of Jew-hate.

But this was not so in the case of Peto and OISE. Hate Speech in the service of "progressive" causes, like the destruction of Israel and defaming Canada's Christian conservatives, is not only tolerated but vigorously, if somewhat preposterously defended by the far left.

The same people who are now calling for Ezra Levant's criminal prosecution for a distorted description of Gypsy culture ridiculously decried mere condemnation of Peto's thesis and OISE as "silencing free speech."

For the hypocritical would be-censors on the left, Hate Speech is only Hate Speech when it is uttered by conservatives and those they disdain.

The Toronto Star's Haroon Siddiqui produced a diatribe about Stephen Harper's alleged "inconsistencies on hate laws." There are a number of valid reasons why those laws should not be employed against Levant. But if Siddiqui and his fellow travelers are genuinely concerned about inconsistencies in the application of unjust laws that seek to censor opinion, they would best look to their own hypocrisy first.

Canada's Supreme Court rules prohibition against making fun of "protected" groups is unconstitutional

In its ruling in the Whatcott case, the Supreme Court made an important statement.

While upholding the validity of certain aspects of Canada's Hate Speech legislation it did rule that:

.. expression that “ridicules, belittles or otherwise affronts the dignity of” does not rise to the level of ardent and extreme feelings constituting hatred required to uphold the constitutionality of a prohibition of expression in human rights legislation.  Accordingly, those words in s. 14(1)(b) of the Code are not rationally connected to the legislative purpose of addressing systemic discrimination of protected groups and they unjustifiably infringe freedom of expression.  Consequently, they are constitutionally invalid and must be struck from s. 14(1)(b).
So while it's not ok to say that people of a certain group should be discriminated against, we can keep making fun of them for their stupid cultural or other practices.

Which must come as a relief to Canadian comedians - at least those who haven't had to pay fines based on idiotic Human Rights Commission rulings.

UPDATE:  A good review of the ruling by Jon Kay in the National Post

Isn't multiculturalism grand? Local Muslims blame internecine violence in Pakistan on a "Zionist Plot"

As we bring more Muslims into Canada from backwards counties dominated by hateful ideologies, we're going to see more of this.

This type of insane, conspiracy-laden hate is routinely promoted by deplorable hatemongers like Zafar Bangash, the Imam of the York Region Islamic Centre and various local Shia Muslim groups with links to Iran.

The Enmity Movements

One of man's most persistent traits is hate. Is it an "instinct" and absolutely universal in the human species, or is but a response to frustration, as the "frustration-aggression" theorists would have it ? While varying in degree and type among cultures and individuals, one would be hard put to find humans altogether without it.

Primer for Saturday's Hate Rally in Toronto

The Islamist and totalitarian leftist hatemongers and fanatics who support terrorists whose goal is the destruction of Israel are planning a huge gathering in downtown Toronto this Saturday afternoon. Though a ceasefire was agreed to in the current Israel-Gaza conflict, their hate for Israel and desire to see it annihilated has not subsided and they still plan on spewing their venom on the streets.

The mainstream media, some for laziness, others because of their shallow-minded, politically-correct cultural relativism, will portray the event in a different way than understood anyone who ever has seen the groups involved in action.

Though it will be portrayed in the pages of The Toronto Star and on CBC broadcasts as a pro-Palestine or even an "anti-war" rally, the late essayist and philosopher Christopher Hitchens has these people identified correctly;  "in reality, they are straight out pro-war, but on the other side."  The other side for the Islamo-fascist/totalitarian left alliance, as we have seen in Toronto in the last few weeks, both at disruptions during Remembrance Day services and in front of the Israeli consulate, is Canada's enemy the Taliban and the terror group Hamas.

The people who will be marching will not be a reflection of normal, civilized Canadian citizenry. They are hatemongers and supporters of totalitarianism. And as they say at the ballpark, you can't tell the players without a program, so here is a primer to some of the more prominent reprobates who are likely to be there:

Zafar Bangash, the Grand Poobah of the York Region Islamic Centre. Bangash is a hatemonger and racist whom, at an anti-Israel rally, called US President Obama "that black man in the White House" and later referred to him in an article as "a perfect Uncle Tom." A hypocrite as well as a hatemonger, Bangash plays footsie with so-called progressive, anti-homophobia groups while also saying that Muslim children should not be taught that homosexuality isn't a sinful lifestyle. Bangash is a paid mouthpiece for the murderous, Iranian regime, having worked with the Iranian government on a laudatory biography of its sadistic dictator, Ayatollah Khomeini.

Bangash is one of the principal leaders of anti-Israel activities in Ontario. Many of the participants at Saturday's hate rally will be bused in from the mosque he leads as well as under the direction of the Shiite organizations with which he is closely involved.

Ali Mallah, another nasty racist and hypocrite. Mallah, like his close associate Zafar Bangash, used racist terminology, calling Muslim reformer Tarek Fatah a "house Negro" while preposterously calling those who oppose his fanaticism "racists."  Presenting as simple-minded, thuggish buffoon, he is actually an astute organizer and is the link between Islamist organizations and far left Trotskyite, anti-western groups. He has held or currently holds senior positions in The Canadian Arab Federation (defunded by the federal government for supporting terrorism and anti-Semitism), Palestine House,  CUPE, The Canadian Peace Alliance and Alternatives International.

Mallah used his position as a CUPE vice president to suppress union criticism of the Darfur genocide as it would be harmful to the reputation of Muslims and Arabs.

The Canadian Peace Alliance is a group acting for Iranian interests in Canada. One of its leaders, James Clark, has boasted about his close friendship with Zafar Bangash and the group conducts campaigns in support of the totalitarian, theocratic Iranian regime

Eva Bartlett is a strange woman with a neurotic demenour, originally from Canada, now residing in Gaza with her Palestinian husband. She is a member of the radical pro-Islamist Trotskyite group International Solidarity Movement. Her supporters refer to her as "the Canadian Rachel Corrie" although, unlike her supposed namesake, she has at least demonstrated the minimal level of sanity required to avoid playing chicken with an Israeli military bulldozer. Her efforts are supported by Mallah and a fanatical anti-Israel group with the deceptive name Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East. Bartlett maintains that while Israel does not have the right to defend itself, Palestinians have the right to launch terror attacks which qualify as war crimes because she deems them "resistance."

No One Is Illegal a depraved, Trotskyite group that has been in part funded by the University of Toronto's communist-controlled Ontario Public Interest Research Group. No One Is Illegal opposes any immigration restrictions and has close links with the violent Black Bloc, and shares membership with them.

Palestine House is a Palestinian advocacy organization that lost its federal funding due to its support for terrorism and anti-Semitism. It has been involved in massive immigration fraud.

OCAP - The Ontario Coalition Against Poverty is a radical, violent, anti-capitalist group funded by the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Its leader, John Clarke, has called for class warfare. The group is comprised largely of homeless and mentally ill individuals. OCAP frequently attracts unfortunates with no knowledge of the causes involved to its demonstrations and protests by promising them free food.

Queers Against Israeli Apartheid is an anarchist/Trotskyite organization of Gays who seek Israel's elimination. Many of its membership are psychologically damaged Gay Jews who are venting rejection by their conservative families by seeking destruction of the Jewish state. The group also functions as a rare social outlet for marginalized, unattractive lesbians with few other social venues. Among its members is the author of a notorious anti-Semitic Masters degree thesis produced for the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.

Independent Jewish Voices is a group of socially maladroit anti-Israel Jews which was founded by and is largely comprised of 9-11 conspiracy theorists. Many of its members are Marxist academics insecure about being intellectual lightweights. Most of its members are, old, bitter, childless and resentful.

Sandra Ruch is the obese owner of the Canadian Gaza Boat, dubbed by bloggers as The Sea Hitler. She frequently engages in hyperbolic and hysterically over-emotional public tirades. Her behaviour suggests a lonely, insecure person desperate for attention. As a Jew who publicly denounces Israel with the most extreme, preposterous invective, she is able to get that otherwise unattainable notice from Islamist and Marxist groups for whom destruction of the Jewish state  is of paramount importance while providing them with the pretense for deniability of their anti-Semitism.

Neutrei Karta is a bizarre Jewish cult of extremist anti-Israel Jews. Due to the small size of the cult,
the membership is frequently inbred, which partially accounts for their freakish appearance. They claim to be pro-Palestinian, but that is disingenuous. They also claim to be anti-oppression, but the only oppression anywhere they have ever expressed outrage about is that allegedly committed by Israel. The motivation for the cult's anti-Israel activities is a misguided belief that God has prohibited Jews from creating a state in Israel until the arrival of the Messiah. They seek Israel's destruction as a means of redressing that "error." The cult's hatred for Israel is so intense that they have embraced the murderous, Holocaust-denying President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, with whom they share the common goal of the elimination of the Jewish state.

The cult also believes that Jews should dress like Eastern Europeans in the early 17th Century, which accounts for their clown-like costumes.

CASMO - The Canadian Organization of Shiite Muslims. The group, while denying hating Jews is overtly anti-Semitic. It has posted anti-Semitic videos by neo-Nazi leader David Duke on its website and its membership is tied to the recent case of the Hate Madrassa in Toronto which was the subject of a hate crime investigation for teaching anti-Semitism as part of its curriculum. The group is closely linked with Zafar Bangash and Ali Mallah.

More unhinged racism from Iran's mouthpiece in Canada

The Eminence Gris behind the Khomeinist al Quds demonstrations in Toronto is a notorious hate monger named  "Daffy" Zafar Bangash. Under the direction of Iran's Embassy in Canada,  Bangash, the Imam of the York region Islamic Centre, penned a glowing tribute to the sadistic, murderous dictator of Iran's Islamic Republic from 1979 to 1989, Ruhollah Khomeini. Indeed, Bangash rarely misses an opportunity to lavish praise on that regime that systematically punishes female dissidents with rape and torture.
"Daffy" Zaffy outside Toronto's
Pakistani consulate

While a propagandist, Daffy Zaffy's style is less suited to the western world, where even disinformation requires some subtlety and reason, than to the Islamic world where hyperbole and big talk substitute for their minuscule achievements. Part of Bangash's schtick is to accuse, without any substantiation, anyone who doesn't kowtow to his Islamist fanaticism of being a racist.

An editorial from someone too stupid to
recognize its own hypocrisy
The irony being that Bangash tends to work himself up in to such a hateful lather when he speaks and even writes, that he frequently betrays his own actual racism. The epitome of his bigoted antipathy these days being in the person of US President Barack Obama.

While fuming against Israel at last year's al Quds hatefest, where he invariably refers to Israel as "the racist, Zionist regime" Bangash couldn't restrain his hate and cursed Obama as "that black man in the White House."

Now, in one of his rambling paeans to the barbaric dictatorship in Iran, he refers to Obama with a racial slur as "a perfect Uncle Tom."

The lie that Daffy Zaffy comically tries to spread is that Israel, where the religious and democratic rights of all its citizens are respected, would be better off under Islamic Sharia Law, the ideal in his mind being the repressive, totalitarian Islamic Republic of Iran.

Bangash's rag - C'mon everyone! We must eliminate
the evil Zionist entity and replace it with an
Iranian satellite where we mercifully stone to death
those who defy us!

While his promotion of Iran and invective against Israel are falling flat, there is one cause that Bangash is doing a great job of promoting - that of immigration reform. Whenever I hear that guy, it's a reminder we're letting lots of the wrong people into this country, and we should be putting a stop to it immediately.

---------   ----------   -------------

On another amusing note from Bangash's Islamist magazine Crescent International, he gives some space to the neurotic anti-Israel propagandist Eva Bartlett.  I had the pleasure of meeting Bartlett in person  a couple of months ago and she didn't much like the resulting article I wrote.

"Batty" Eva Bartlett
delivering a lecture denouncing
the "Zionist regime"
Bangash describes the fanatical Bartlett as a "peace activist." The late British essayist Christopher Hitchens summed up people like her and her cohorts more honestly when he wrote that "in reality, they are straight out pro-war, but on the other side." In the case of Bartlett, her side are the terrorists and murderers of Hamas and Hezbollah, of whom she writes glowingly.

Batty Eva's offerings invoke one question in particular: is she an idiot or is it that she thinks those listening to her are idiots and incapable of recognizing how ridiculous she is?  (Not that either is mutually exclusive.)

In one of her typically weird, rambling, not-quite coherent tomes, the International Solidarity Movement minion preposterously claims,

"..kids in Gaza are not filled with hate or being taught propaganda. Growing up under occupation and the barrel of Zionist guns, most boys choose to buy and play with cheap plastic guns, a product not of inherent Palestinian lust for fighting but of their lives since birth being subject to Zionist shooting and bombing, and seeing loved ones kidnapped and killed by the Zionist regime."

The examples of kids in Gaza being taught hate and propaganda are so abundant and so blatant as to make Batty Eva herself less effective as a propagandist than as a comedy act.  In their schools, mosques and even on television shows aimed at preschool kids,  Hamas subjects Gaza's children to hateful propaganda extolling the virtues of suicide bombers, terrorism, and encourages youth to commit murder and sacrifice their lives for the Islamist cause.

The level of depravity that one sees in Gaza is appalling, but seeing the murderous totalitarians offering half-witted missionaries of hate in Canada invokes a strange but different reaction - the unusual combination of revulsion and amusement.

Toronto Mayor's Office orders City Staff to monitor Khomeinist dinner

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has instructed city staff to monitor a Khomeinist al Quds Day anti-Israel dinner and seminar taking place tonight at the municipally owned Scarborough Centennial Centre.

The event is being held by the Canadian Shia Muslim Organization (CASMO), a group notorious for posting anti-Semitic videos by a Ku Klux Klan leader on its website, and having held a hate rally at Queen's Park last year in which speakers engaged in racist and Jihadist invective.

The Mayor's office expressed disappointment that the al Quds would be proceeding, but the City's Facilities Manager and the City of Toronto's Deputy Manager decided the event did not breech civic policies. Al Quds Day is an invention of Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini intended to rally Muslims to the cause of the destruction of Israel. Al Quds Day gatherings frequently feature anti-Semitic and violent rhetoric.

Toronto Ward 10 Councillor James Pasternak said he is "astounded that City re-booked facilities to this group after all we went through last year." He added "this group clearly does not meet the threshold for respect or tolerance we expect of those using City property."

Mayor Ford's office expressed its serious concerns about the Iranian-linked group's use of municipal property and insisted the event be closely watched by City staff to ensure compliance with civic regulations regarding Hate Speech.

Councillor Pasternak expressed the hope that City staff would ensure the usual "demonization and hate" that are routine at al Quds Day assemblies does not take place on grounds that are the responsibility of the City of Toronto.

UPDATE:  A well-placed source at City Hall believes that the Manager of the City's Office of Equity, Diversity and Human Rights must have been consulted by the Managers who decided to allow the seminar and dinner to proceed. That office is headed by Pakistani immigrant Uzma Shakir, who has written that Muslim immigrants do not owe their full loyalty to Canada because of the Canadian government's favoritism towards Israel.

Toronto City Councillor denounces use of municipal facilities for Khomeinist al Quds seminar

A rancid melange of hummus and hatred will be served up at the municipally-owned Scarborough Centennial Centre when the Khomeinist Canadian Shia Muslim Organization (CASMO)  holds its annual dinner and al Quds seminar there this Friday night.

Ward 10 Councillor Pasternak
The news of this event just became public and has outraged Ward 10 Councillor James Pasternak. "It's late in the day to get this cancelled, but the City of Toronto should be playing no role in providing space or shelter to groups that promote hatred and intolerance and I'm shocked they were allowed to use city facilities this year," he said in an exclusive interview with Eye on a Crazy Planet.

The al Quds Day rally planned for the following afternoon at Queens Park has already generated a whirlwind of controversy because of the racist invective featured at last year's rally which CASMO had organized.  It featured a local acolyte of Iran's regime, Zafar Bangash, who furiously spewed at US President Barack Obama, to whom he referred as "that black man in the White House" and declared his aspiration to witness a massive Muslim march on Israel to impose Islamic law there, presumably after all its non-Muslim inhabitants were slaughtered. The ravings of Shia speakers spouting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories at the rally became widely known and publicly reviled. The ensuing scrutiny discouraged CASMO from being the applicant for this year's rally.

CASMO received national notoriety after posting anti-Semitic videos of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke on its website. After that public expression of Jew-hatred was publicized, first through through blogs and then the mainstream media, the ensuing humiliation led them to proclaim their ostensive opposition to anti-Semitism while continuing to espouse conspiracy theories about "international Zionism". The Shia group hosts an al Quds Day event to honor Iran's late, theocratic dictator, the Ayatollah Khomeini, who proclaimed the last Friday of Ramadan as a day to rally Muslims to the cause of the elimination of Israel.

Last year, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and Councillors Doug Ford and Pasternak attempted to have the city deny permission for CASMO's use of the Centennial Centre for the dinner. According to City policy, the decision had to be made on the basis of whether the applicant violated the City's anti-Discrimination policy.

Toronto's Manager of Equity, Diversity and Human Rights was the person who was left to make that initial decision. But in a strange twist, that Manager, Uzma Shakir, had written inflammatory anti-Israel articles for the radical leftist website rabble.ca in which she asserted that because of the Canadian government's support for the Jewish state, Muslim immigrants do not owe their full loyalty to Canada.

For his part, Councillor Pasternak intends to contact City officials to ensure warnings are issued to CASMO, as they were last year, and that the gathering is monitored for compliance to make sure the type of hatred invoked at their 2011 Queen's Park rally is not repeated on City property.

"I'm highly offended that groups like this are allowed to spew their hate both on City property and on the steps of the Legislature," Pasternak stated. "There should be no place in the City of Toronto for such groups that attempt to bully and promote hatred and intolerance."

A spokesperson for Mayor Rob Ford's office said the mayor will review the situation regarding the CASMO al Quds dinner and determine which appropriate steps should be taken.

UPDATE: Canadian Race Relations Foundation denounces Iranian backed Khomeinist rally - points out it is similar to neo-Nazi hate.

This is what happens when you leave decisions to someone who looks like he stepped out of a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta

One of the more challenging responsibilities of the Ontario Legislature's Sergeant-at-Arms is having to decide which groups are allowed to hold rallies on the Legislature's grounds at Queen's Park. The current holder of the Sergeant-at-Arms position is Dennis Clark and his role is within the Civil Service and is supposed to be free of political interference.
Sergeant-At-Arms Clark

There are frequently demonstrations denouncing the ruling party of the day and if reflects well on us as a democratic society that such events are sanctioned at the seat of government. But decisions about such maters would be substantially more credible if they weren't being made by someone whose official costume made him look like a cross between a baritone about to start singing, "I am the monarch of the sea" and Mr. Bumble from Oliver Twist.

There are limits to what would be considered acceptable discourse that deserves the imprimatur of the Legislature's acquiescence. A racist group calling for the extermination of a nation would not normally be afforded that privilege, nor would one that openly displays support for terrorist organizations that are illegal in Canada.

An Al Quds Day rally to be held at Queens Park next Saturday at 2 pm seems destined to fall into those latter categories.

Mr Clark is in the unenviable position of having to predict, like in the movie Minority Report, crimes that might be committed in the future before denying an application for a rally. "Very seldom do we deny something unless they came in and they told us that what they were going to do was unlawful"  Clark told The Toronto Sun.

Iran's sadistic dictator from 1979-89
But a magical psychic gift isn't really necessary to know what will happen at the Al Quds Day rally nest week.Mr. Clark may have neglected to perform the rudimentary research into the nature of Al Quds Day that shows its hateful, violent nature and origins.

The event was created by Iran's despotic Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. A bloodthirsty degenerate, Khomeini led a regime known for systematically raping women for the supposed crime of 'immodesty' as well as the routine torture and murder of political opponents.

Khomeini designated the last day of the Muslim month-long festival of Ramadan at Al Quds Day, to promote the Islamic world to rise up and destroy the state of Israel. Regrettably, Khomeini has acolytes in Canada, such as the hate-monger Zafar Bangash of the York region Islamic Society and the Canadian Shia Muslim Organization, which were the forces behind last year's Queen's Park Al Quds Day rally.

At the 2011 gathering, Zafar Bangash called for a Jihad against Israel and in an apoplectic fit, made a racist reference to US President Barack Obama as "that black man in the White House." Flags of  Iranian-backed Hezbollah, designated an terrorist group by the Canadian government, flew prominently at last year's al Quds hate fest at Queen's Park. What made matters substantially worse was that a representative of Mr. Clark's Legislative Security force abused her authority by trying to deny the legal right of a blogger to photograph women holding the Hezbollah flags because it would offend "Muslim sensibilities."

The Jewish Defense League will be at Queen's Park on Saturday to hold a counter-protest against the Khomeinist fanatics.  If the powers that be are too afraid of offending a hate group's sensibilities to stand up to them, it is refreshing that there are free citizens who believe in Canadian values and don't share those fears.

Khomeinists plan hate rally at Toronto`s Queen`s Park

Last year, one of the low points in civic engagement in Ontario was an anti-Semitic hate rally at Queen’s Park held by local Shia Muslim organizations to commemorate what they refer to as “al Quds Day.” This is an event in the Shia calendar initiated by the brutal Iranian despot Ayatollah Khomeini to try to garner support for the destruction of the Jewish state and the so-called liberation of the Holy Land of Israel from the Jews, to be replaced by an Islamic state.

Politicians of al stripes were shocked and embarrassed that an event was held at the seat of Ontario’s government that was anti-Semitic and featured hate mongers like Zafar Bangash, a notorious supporter of the vicious Iranian dictatorship which persecutes and murders dissidents and minorities.  Last year, Bangash called for a Jihad against Jerusalem whereby Islamic law would be imposed upon Israel.

In a startling new development, another ‘al Quds Day’ rally at Queen’s Park on August 18 was just announced by a group calling itself the al Quds Committee.

The Sergeant-at-Arms of the Ontario Legislature must approve all demonstrations held at Queens Park. As of 9 am  today (July 31), the Sergeant-of Arms office confirms that an application for the al Quds Day demonstration has been submitted but not yet approved.

Toronto City Council Wimps out on Pride Funding

An expected battle between those who wanted unconditional funding for Toronto's Gay Pride Festival and those who wanted civic contributions withheld until it was clear that the hate group Queers Against Israeli Apartheid would not be allowed to participate resulted in an inconclusive compromise.

Councillor Colle proposed a motion that affirmed Pride's value as a cultural event while condemning the use of the term "Israeli Apartheid." The motion did not address funding at all and unless the city's revised anti-discrimination policy, which will be unveiled next week, expressly prohibits it, the fanatical anti-Israel group will be able to participate with tax funds subsidizing their vapid, discriminatory message.

Colle's motion passed 27-7 following snide questioning from radical leftists councilors Gord Perks and the original owner of the hate group's website, Krystin Wong-Tam.

As tax funds may yet give a platform to the hate group, Pride Toronto will come under continued economic pressure, as boycott and protest campaigns are anticipated against sponsors of Pride who support an event that  promotes hatred of the Jewish state.

More here from Sue Ann Levy in the Toronto Sun

UPDATE: The councilors who supported use of the term "Israeli Apartheid" in Toronto's Pride parade by voting against the motion were:

Gord "aptly named" Perks, Sarah "even more aptly named" Doucette Krystin Wong-Tam (the owner of the hate group Queers Against Israeli Apartheid's website), Mike (I'm not very smart but I have a job because my last name is) Layton, Janet Davis, Michael Thompson and Maria Augimeri. Remember these names next municipal election and what a waste of your tax dollars these individuals are.

Hate group may get thumbs up from Toronto City Council

A radical anti-Israel hate group that goes by the name Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, along with the leadership of Toronto's Pride Festival, have been quietly lobbying Toronto's city councilors to secure funding if that hate group participates in the annual event. According to Martin Gladstone, the Gay activist lawyer who has been countering the fanatical organization that seeks to delegitimize the Jewish state, the anti-Israel group has enough votes lined up at present to win the vote.

The group was the source of enormous controversy last year when it threatened to participate and then later  and withdrew from the Pride Festival, ostensibly to ensure the event didn't lose funding. The real reason for their withdrawal was more likely that the loss of funding from the city and corporate sponsors that their involvement would have spurred would make them pariahs in the Gay community to a greater extent than they are currently.

The year before, amid threats from the to withhold funding from Pride, the festival's organizers first promised that that anti-Israel group would not be allowed to [participate, then once they secured City funding scammed the City by reversing that decision to the outrage of many on City Council including the current mayor, Rob Ford.

Councilor James Pasternak had proposed a resolution last year that was adopted by Council that required Toronto's anti-discrimination policy to be revised,in order to address funding to events that include hate groups. By lying about the nature of the Jewish state,  seeking its destruction by falsely labeling it a nation that practices crimes against humanity, singling it out and holding  the only country in  the middle east that respects Gay rights to a standard they hold no other country in the world, the so-called Queers Against Israeli Apartheid is an anti-Semitic hate group. Yet Councilors such as Kristin Wong-Tam, who is the original owner of that group's website, along with City Councilors Gord Perks and others on the left wing of Council support the participation of the anti-Semitic group in Pride.

Pride and the anti-Semitic group have been effectively lobbying councilors such as the pliable Mary-Margaret McMahon with the deceptive and ironic claim that Pride is being held to a higher standard than any other city-sponsored event. As there is no other city-sponsored event that gives a platform to a hate group whose sole purpose is to vilify and demonize an entire nation and community, Pride's argument is clearly disingenuous.

Toronto City Council will vote on funding for the Pride Festival on Wednesday, June 6. Councillor Pasternak has proposed that funding from the city be withheld until after the event and submitted to Pride only on the condition that Queers Against Israeli Apartheid is not a participant. Torontonians concerned about their tax dollars being used to subsidize the hateful anti-Semitism and anti-western fanaticism of Queers Against Israeli Apartheid should contact their councillors and hopefully sway them to act responsibly.

(A form that can be used to contact city council is available through Martin Gladstone's website, Reclaiming Our Pride)

They're back! Intellectually vapid hatemonger group al QuAIA threatens to derail Toronto's Pride festival (again)

The collection of hideous gargoyles that calls itself Queers Against Israeli Apartheid (al QuAIA) says it wants to participate in Toronto's Pride festival this year.

Contentious City Council hearings last year almost derailed the Pride festival as a whole, when the Mayor and a number of councilors threatened to withdraw city funding and in-kind donations to the festival, which would have effectively driven the festival into bankruptcy.

The vapid hatemongers whose sole purpose is to demonize the only liberal democracy in the middle east, and the only one in its region that respects Gay rights, because it is a Jewish state were expected to lay low until after 2014 when Toronto is supposed to host the World Pride festival.

But because of their fanatical, narcissistic self-interest, this year's Pride and Toronto's hosting the world festival will again be placed in jeopardy.

Al QuAIA's participation also has the effect of crippling Toronto Pride's ability to attract sponsors, since no credible organization wants to be associated with a venue that gives a platform to hateful fanatics.

Right now, only one hotel is listed on Toronto Pride 2012's sponsor list. Keep an eye on that page and if more appear, be sure to let the sponsor know what you think of them giving money to a platform for the  bigots and hatemongers of Al QuAIA.

Multiculturalism bites back - Muslim Council of Calgary advocates hatred of Canadian culture

The Muslim Council of Calgary (MCC) is behind the website Muslims of Calgary.

Its "Ask the Imam" section had a lengthy response on how to raise children in western countries like Canada.

The response included such helpful tips as:

"You should instill a hatred for this culture and its ways in the hearts of your children"
"No matter how great the corruption in Muslim countries, it cannot compare to the kufr and permissiveness that exists in the west, except in a few rare cases."
"It is haraam for you to give your children free rein in forming friendships with the children of the kuffaar."
"It is not permissible for you to look forward to dilute the rulings of Islam and to make compromises in order to please the west and its people ... You see how the followers of deviant ideas and perversions feel proud of their principles and ideas and proclaim them openly with no embarrassment. "
Muslims of Calgary have deleted the post from the website today  but fortunately, the  blogger Blazing Cat Fur who exposed this, has a screen shot up for posterity.

Combined with the exposure of Toronto's East End Madrassa teaching hatred of Jews as part of its curriculum, and the Toronto District School Board's embrace of race-huckster Tim Wise's racialist garbage,  highlight the need of a review of the hate and idiocy being taught in schools across Canada.
