NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies uses Gaza crisis to deliberately undermine Thomas Mulcair

There's an internal war going on in the New Democratic Party over Israel. The party's hard-core, anti-capitalist, loony-left fanatics have the end of the Jewish state as part of their religious canon. However, as crazy as he knows they are, and distasteful as he finds the fanatical bigots in the NDP,  party leader Thomas Mulcair is in a difficult position with them.

The hard left and their effective leaders Libby Davies and Megan Leslie represent the zealous activists who do lots of the party legwork during elections, and they make up a core part of NDP support. But by appealing to the nutcase left, the NDP simultaneously alienates voters who aren't ideologically rabid fanatics. To make the NDP more palatable to sane voters, Mulcair has done some work to sanitize the party, recently keeping hateful anti-Israel candidates like Paul Manly from seeking the party's nomination for a federal seat. But he also has to tread the fine line of continuing to engage the NDP's worst elements.

Libby Davies
That tightrope Mulcair is walking is a difficult one, and increasingly so as with an apparently deliberate effort by his Deputy Leader Libby Davies to undermine him.

Davies severely embarrassed her party and ruined an opportunity for the NDP to capitalize on the Conservative and previous Liberal governments' handling of the Afghan file by become a major distraction with her anti-Israel rhetoric in 2010. In a statement made to a citizen journalist in a YouTube video, Davies' effectively said that Israel had no legitimacy as a country. The upheaval that report caused in the media and among her own party led to Davies being condemned by Mulcair and a humiliating pilgrimage by the late NDP leader Jack Layton to Israel's ambassador in Canada to apologize for her comments.

In the aftermath of that 2010 catastrophe for the NDP,  Davies was told in no uncertain terms by the party leaders, including Mulcair, to stay away from commenting on international issues that had no bearing on her brief as Health Critic. But among the many things of which Libby Davies can be accused, being bright or good at impulse control are not among them. Davies continued to occasionally veer into outbursts about Israel, such as with her support for the Sea Hitler flotilla that attempted to break the arms embargo of the terror group Hamas.

Now, just days after NDP leader Mulcair issued a balanced call for the cessation of hostilities and blamed Hamas for the continuation of violence, Davies is undermining her party leader by endorsing a petition which places all the blame for the Gaza crisis on Israel.

Composed by her fellow NDP Sea Hitler supporter, Quebec MP Alexandre Boulerice,  the petition completely neglects to mention Hamas but does state: "There is only one solution to achieve this for both Palestinians and Israelis: putting an end to the occupation of the West Bank and the siege of Gaza. " Absent from Boulerice's and Davies' reasoning is that the blockade of Gaza was caused by the launch of missiles from it and the fact that it is controlled by a terror group committed to not only the elimination of Israel but the murder of any Jew it can find. The West Bank occupation continues, despite many offers that would have given the Palestinians a state of their own, because no Palestinian leadership has been found that would negotiate in good faith.

The Davies wing's resentment of Thomas Mulcair is well known. Murray Dobbin, a columnist for rabble.ca, a radical, far-left online magazine published by Libby Davies' spouse Kim Elliott, recently sent out an email encouraging NDP supporters to withhold donations from the party. Dobbin's email pronounced:   "...Mulcair sucker-punched Vancouver MP Libby Davies for a Youtube interview in which Davies criticized Israel's illegal occupation. It was a disgusting betrayal of NDP principles and ended up with the humiliation of Jack Layton who went cap-in-hand to the Israeli ambassador and apologized. It was a low point in the NDP's and Layton's history. Fortunately, a wave of protest prevented Layton from demoting Davies. Now Mulcair, a devoted Zionist who refuses to adhere to the NDP’s policy on Palestine, is at it again...Just another reason to boycott all NDP fund-raising appeals until the party begins behaving in a principled manner worthy of a social democratic party."

The Davies wing of radicals within the NDP want to use Israel as a dagger to stab Thomas Mulcair in the back. Whether Mulcair can strike a balance with them, is undermined by them, or is forced to discipline them is something that will be a very interesting situation to watch unfold in the coming months before the next election.

Both federal NDP Deputy Leaders promote depraved 9-11 conspiracy theories and antisemitism

The synchronization of 9-11 conspiracy lunacy and antisemitism has reached the highest levels of the New Democratic Party of Canada.

NDP Deputy Leader Megan Leslie recently promoted a 9-11 conspiracy event on her website.
Tory MP James Bezan called the posting on Leslie's website "shameful."

"Parliamentarians, especially senior members of the Official Opposition, should not be promoting these ideas," Bezan said in a statement. "Canadians should be able to expect reasoned positions on major issues, not statements that trivialize the deaths of Canadians and others or that make unfounded attacks on our allies.

"The 9/11 'truth' tour that MP Leslie is promoting on her website is shameful, and deeply disrespectful to the victims of 9/11."
This complements the other NDP Deputy Leader, Libby Davies, who actually introduced a petition in Parliament that also promoted insane 9-11 conspiracy theories about US government involvement in the terror attacks on New York and Washington.

There is a heavy strain of antisemitism in the 9-11 "truth" movement, which consists in large measure of bizarre and psychologically damaged individuals.

The Canadian government has made it clear it views the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel to be an expression of Jew-hate. Prime Minister Harper has described it and the slander of Israel as an "apartheid" country as "nothing short of sickening" and "the face of the new antisemitism."   Yet both NDP Deputy Leaders Davies and Leslie have been outspoken in such anti-Israel positions. Davies has expressed personal support for such antisemitic boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel, and Leslie has previously promoted an antisemitic "Israel Apartheid Week" event.

NDP leader Tom Mulcair is known to be supportive of Israel and democracy in the middle east. However, by appointing fanatics with bizarre, extremist views as his most senior deputies, it is an indication of the incompetence with which the federal NDP government would govern Canada if ever given the opportunity.

Stephen Harper has driven the anti-Semitic, NDP-linked website rabble.ca apoplectic

It seems that Stephen Harper's speech to the Israeli legislature was so forceful, and so infuriating to the anti-Israel far-left that its effects included giving writers like Gerry Caplan an aneurysm, resulting in serious cognitive impairment. Either that, or Caplan was intentionally dishonest, or just plain stupid in a column published by rabble.ca claiming "Stephen Harper contended that Israeli policies should not be criticized, especially in public.... As Mr. Harper put it, criticism of Israeli policies is "the new anti-Semitism..."

Except that Harper not only didn't characterize all criticism of Israel as being anti-Semitic, but exclusively refuted that assertion. What Harper said was,  "Of course, criticism of Israeli government policy is not in and of itself necessarily anti-Semitic. But what else can we call criticism that selectively condemns only the Jewish state and effectively denies its right to defend itself while systematically ignoring – or excusing – the violence and oppression all around it?"

Which is very different indeed from the deceitful charges made by Gerry Caplan. But it's necessary for Caplan to lie in order to try to lay claim to the same territory that Harper himself explicitly covered in his speech, that not all criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic. Harper never suggested it was, but what he did describe as anti-Semitic is the unfair, dishonest, disproportionate and obsessive criticism of Israel of the sort in which rabble.ca routinely engages.  In another rabble column published the same day, some very twisted efforts at logic attempting to remake some of Caplan's assertions are endeavored by Murray Dobbin.  Dobbin is a board member of the NDP-linked think-tank Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, which is one of rabble's main funders, and the bizarre claim he tries to make is that Canada's strong support for Israel hurts Israel.

Rather more sinisterly, Dobbin suggests the repulsive, anti-Semitic trope that Jews are themselves responsible for anti-Semitism by supporting Israel when he wrote "by encouraging the most right-wing, intransigent government in Israel's history, Harper helps ensure a powerful global movement opposed to Israel -- and that opposition inadvertently provides comfort to anti-Semites."

So according to rabble, if Harper supports Israel, or, it would follow to reason also that if Jews support it, they are really just encouraging the hatred they incur.

What must really has rabble riled is that they will be called out for the anti-Semitic garbage they promote, in its support for "Israel Apartheid Week", and anti-Semitic boycotts of Israel. Or sometimes rabble makes very little effort to mask its more blatant bias against Jews, as in an article last week by its Ottawa correspondent Karl Nerenberg, who essentially suggested that Canadian Jews' primary loyalty is to Israel and that the Harper government is cynically exploiting that sentiment.

Hamas' model mother
Of course rabble will protest that they aren't anti-Semitic and that some of their 'best friends,' including some of its correspondents and its founder Judy Rebick are Jewish. But it's only a particular type of Jew for whom rabble has any affinity. That would be the type that passes the litmus test of sharing their fanatical bias against the Jewish state, just as the Nazis were comparatively benevolent to Jews who assisted them in controlling the Jews they marked for extermination.

Speaking of marking Jews for extermination, rabble's writers took issue with Stephen Harper refusing to single out Israel for criticism. Just a week before his trip to Israel, the Prime Minister of Gaza's government, Ismail Haniya, threatened the lives of Israelis and called on young Palestinians to partake in jihad and "to love death for the sake of Allah as much as our enemies love life." Haniya then praised and extolled young Palestinians to emulate a woman named Reem al-Riyashi.

Hamas gets a terrorist's children to
celebrate the number of Jews her
mother murdered

For those not familiar with the name, Reem al-Riyashi was a female Palestinian suicide bomber. A repulsive sociopath, al-Riyashi left her two young children and embarked on a mission to blow herself up at the Erez border crossing. Declaring in her 'farewell video' that she hoped "the shredded limbs of my body would be shrapnel tearing the Zionists to pieces" so she could be "knocking on heaven's door with the skulls of Zionists."

al-Riyashi murdered four Israeli personnel and injured 10 more when she blasted herself to smithereens. Hamas then ghoulishly paraded al-Riayshi's children on its notorious kids' TV show Pioneers of Tomorrow, where the smiling youngsters were told what a great accomplishment their mother had achieved. Hamas also put out a music video where children are encouraged to follow in al-Riyashi's footsteps.

Yet for the bigots at rabble.ca, which is published by the spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies, it is Israel and only Israel that is the impediment to peace. And if rabble is to be taken seriously, anyone who denies that is just encouraging more Jew-hate.

Stephen Harper`s speech to Israel`s Knesset has Canadian anti-Semites fuming

Distortion and misinformation has been the aftermath of the speech Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper made to Israel`s national legislature on Monday.

The Prime Minister clearly said in his speech that not all criticism of Israel is anti-Semitism. But that hasn`t stopped politically-motivated pundits including Liberal Party backroom boy Warren Kinsella, or sloppy journalism from the likes of Sun News` David Akin, from portraying the exact opposite of what the Prime Minister said, such as Akin`s dishonest assertion that  "in Harper's formulation, you're an anti-Semite if you criticize Israel."

In both the case of Kinsella and Akin the charge against Harper is probably an attention-getting device, since both writers, Akin elsewhere in his same column, and Kinsella in an earlier blog post, acknowledge that Harper said no such thing.

What Harper did describe as anti-Semitism is:
“As once Jewish businesses were boycotted, some civil-society leaders today call for a boycott of Israel. On some campuses, intellectualized arguments against Israeli policies thinly mask the underlying realities, such as the shunning of Israeli academics and the harassment of Jewish students.

Most disgracefully of all, some openly call Israel an apartheid state.

Think about that.

Think about the twisted logic and outright malice behind that: a state, based on freedom, democracy and the rule of law, that was founded so Jews can flourish, as Jews, and seek shelter from the shadow of the worst racist experiment in history, that is condemned, and that condemnation is masked in the language of anti-racism.

It is nothing short of sickening.

But this is the face of the new anti-Semitism.

It targets the Jewish people by targeting Israel and attempts to make  the old bigotry acceptable for a new generation.

Of course, criticism of Israeli government policy is not in and of itself necessarily anti-semitic.

But what else can we call criticism that selectively condemns only the Jewish state and effectively denies its right to defend itself while systematically ignoring – or excusing – the violence and oppression all around it?"

As Federal Cabinet Minister Jason Kenney noted in rebutting Akin, the definition of anti-Semitism used by Harper is nothing new and reflects the definitions in use by the European Union.

However, what is novel is that a Canadian Prime Minister has never been so explicit in stating that outlook before.

This has significant ramifications back in Canada for a number of anti-Israel fanatics who have tried to excuse their anti-Semitism as anti-Zionism.

The fact that a person may be a Jew does not mean that they can't be a Jew-hater. One example is the group of radical cretins calling themselves Independent Jewish Voices that was founded, by the admission of its own leaders, for the primary purpose of putting useful idiot Jews (some of whom who only pretend to be Jewish)  in front of the anti-Israel movement so they could deflect charges of anti-Semitism.

It is now clear that, in the view of the Canadian government, people such as labour leaders Sid Ryan are anti-Semites and that the unions CUPE Ontario and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers are anti-Semitic organizations. A federal court recently agreed with Mr. Kenney in his assertion that Muslim groups like The Canadian Arab Federation are (or at least appear) anti-Semitic, and that description would easily apply to a number of other Canadian Islamic organizations, including the Canadian Association of Shiite Muslims (CASMO) and Zafar Bangash's Islamic Society of York Region.

The label of anti-Semite would therefore extend to Jew-hating Jews like Naomi Klein, her obtuse husband Avi Lewis, and Judy Rebick. The website rabble.ca, which billed itself as "the official media sponsor" of Israeli Apartheid Week would be, by definition, a hate-site. The site is currently published by the spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies, who herself has often been accused of being anti-Semitic.

What will be more controversial is that now, in the very explicit view of Canada's government, Israeli Apartheid Weeks on campuses are in the view of Canada's government, anti-Semitic and by extension, university's permitting them are sanctioning Jew-hate. There are also a number of university supported student groups, including the Ontario Public Interest Research Group,  that are so defined as anti-Semitic. Universities will have to take a very close look to decide if they can continue to sanction these hate groups on their campuses.

As far as university funding goes, it's interesting to note that The University of Toronto's scandal-plagued, Marxist-leaning Ontario Institute of Studies in Education has appointed someone who fits the government's description of an anti-Semite by the name of Abigail Bakan, as the head of its Humanities, Social Sciences and Social Justice Education department.

In the case of the City of Toronto, the collection of vapid freaks calling themselves Queers Against Israeli Apartheid now cannot make any sort of claim, at least from the official perspective of Canada's government, that they are not an anti-Semitic group. By Toronto's funding the World Pride Festival in 2014 that includes this group, the city is de facto funding Jew hate, and a re-examination of that funding may be necessary.

The ramifications of Mr. Harper's very impressive and unambiguous speech are far-reaching indeed, and they have some of Canada's most discreditable people very worried.

And anything that has such people upset, whatever else its merits may or may not be, can't be all bad.

Federal NDP Deputy Leader promotes vibrator-dispensing sex party on her website

You've got to hand it to NDP leader Thomas Mulcair. He has a reputation for anger management issues and being a bit...off in the head.

So what better way to make himself look even-keeled and reasonable than to assign the two Deputy Leader roles to a pair of whack-jobs next to whom, by comparison, he is the model of sanity.

In that context, it makes sense he assigned those roles to Israel-hatin,' 9-11 conspiracy nut Loony Libby Davies, from the the junkie-haven of East Vancouver and on the Atlantic side of the country, Israel-hatin' Megan Leslie, who is promoting a sex party where free vibrators are on offer.

Given the NDP's constituency, this may be a good move for Leslie, but how it makes the national party look opens up other questions.

NDP Deputy Leader, 9-11 conspiracy nut Libby Davies, travels to US to attack Canadian interests

Once again, the NDP travel to the US to promote left wing extremism. Over the weekend, Deputy NDP Leader Libby Davies participated in Left Forum 2013 in New York – a conference committed to addressing the “destructive nature of capitalism’s inherent drive to growth”.
The conference featured anti-capitalist, anti-Israel, anti-responsible resource development seminars, including among many others,
  • “The Renewal of Radical Thought and the Question of Communism”,
  • “The Intertwining of Red and Green: Ecocide Can Only be Stopped with the Defeat of Capitalism”,
  • “Thinking Across Crises: Anti-Capitalist Strategies and Imaginaries”,
  • “The Necessity of Direct Action to Prevent Expansion of Gas and Oil Infrastructure”, and
  • “Deadly Economies: Israel’s Role in Worldwide Repression”.
Canadians should not be surprised by this latest demonstration of left wing extremism from the NDP. After all, Deputy Leader Libby Davies believes that the terrorist attacks of 9/11 are “irrefutably false”, and NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair doubts that Osama Bin Laden is dead.

Is rabble.ca implying that Jack Layton was a closeted homosexual?

The great playwright of the English Renaissance Christopher Marlowe wrote Edward II about the Gay son of the monarch Edward Longshanks (modern audiences might know the first Edward best as the villain  of Mel Gibson's Braveheart).

Setting the tone, the play opens with Edward II's special friend Gaveston reading a letter from the new monarch which includes the lines:

My men, like satyrs grazing on the lawns,
Shall with their goat-feet dance an antic hay.
Sometime a lovely boy in Dian's shape,
With hair that gilds the water as it glides,
Crownets of pearl about his naked arms,
And in his sportful hands an olive tree
To hide those parts which men delight to see

The far-left website rabble.ca, published by the same-sex spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies, is promoting an event called:

Pride, Prejudice and Politics: Jack Layton and the lessons of Christopher Marlowe’s Edward II

In its description, they note:  As an undergraduate student at McGill, Jack Layton read and copiously annotated his copy of Marlowe's play. Join us as Dr. Jason Boyd connects the dots between Jack Layton and this classic 16th Century play.

It should be interesting which "dots" they connect between the former NDP leader about whom there was much speculation, and the tragic Edward II who also met an untimely end.

More than a year after his death, Communist idiots are still infuriated Christopher Hitchens turned his back on them

From a review of The Trial of Christopher Hitchens in the moronic, neo-Marxist website rabble.ca, published by the same-sex spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies:

Immediately after the September 11 attacks, he spoke of caution, of not veering into overreaction, yet soon he was picking fights with anyone who dared question U.S. reaction or even contextualize the attacks as "Anti-American" or worse. His early smears of Noam Chomsky and many others allowed for the entry -- even into some quarters of the Left for a short time -- of talk of loyalty and patriotism.
Hitchens became the patron saint of what some came to call "The Decent Left," those who signed the "Euston Manifesto."  Seymour’s first book, The Liberal Defence of Murder, gives a history and analysis of this tendency, and is well worth the read.  But Hitchens went far beyond even the "decent left" in his calls for civilizational warfare, his shocking and even genocidal Islamophobia (stating that he refused to share a planet with this "enemy"), even, tragically, his disavowal of his early and stalwart anti-Zionism.

The review is peppered with the predictable vapid Marxist jargon; reactionary, comrades,  revolutionary socialism, McCarthyist and so on...

It reeks of the unintentionally self-parodying, hysterical outrage that only a stupid western Marxist could muster.

Bully Bloggers are heroes in the War of Ideas

The history of mankind is really a chronicle of the conflict of ideas.

In the end, the hope is that good ideas will triumph over bad ones and that truth will unseat lies and deception.

The belief that truth will prevail explains in large measure why those societies we look back on as being the most repressive, cruel and unjust were the most censorious.  It has been and is fear that their support would crumble when confronted by ideas and facts challenging theirs that inspired guardians of the likes of Communism, Nazism and The Inquisition to the prohibition of dissenting speech and publications.

The right of Free Speech was the founding principle in that culmination of The Enlightenment, the American Revolution, and is something most of us in Canada take for granted. But we shouldn't.

As the recent Supreme Court of Canada's Whatcott decision highlighted, there is an ongoing battle about just which ideas are permissible in a country that is supposedly based on principles of freedom and fairness.

That any idea other than those that specifically incite violence or commit libel should be banned is something many Canadians find not only offensive, but a dangerous indication that more rights may be usurped in the slide to the crushing of individual liberty.

An unlikely group of Canadians are at the forefront of the fight for the principle that ideas should be allowed to be freely expressed while exposing the hypocrisy of the would-be censors. They are a collection of activists and writers who have been disparagingly described by Bernie Farber,  the former Canadian Jewish Congress head and rumored successor to Ontario Human Rights Commissioner Barbara Hall, as "Bully Bloggers."

These so-called Bully Bloggers are characterized, in certain cases incorrectly, as "right-wing." What they do share is a belief that there are hypocritical, dishonest public figures in politics, unions and the media who are trying to shape opinion and influence culture and legislation, while attempting to suppress the free expression of ideas that dissent from theirs.

Lacking the resources of big media, government grants, wealth and powerful institutions possessed by those they criticize, the Bully Bloggers' tools are the Internet, cameras, computers and knowledge, operating in the idealistic hope that exposing hypocrisy and dishonesty can shift the flow of public opinion.

Sometimes that hope is in vain, but sometimes it is not. The mainstream media, despite publicly eschewing the Bully Bloggers, monitors their blogs closely and frequently steal stories from them when a tipping point is reached.

That happened when Bully Blogger Blazing Cat Fur brought to light information such as the practice of a Toronto public school using its facilities as a mosque during school hours, how the Toronto District School Board was promoting a group that advocated using vegetables as sex toys, and a Canadian Islamic School which had anti-Jewish slander as part of its curriculum.

It's not that all of the mainstream media or all public officials don't oppose such things, but they have conflicting interests and the safety of politically correct appeasement is often the expedient choice they make.

Fortunately, Bully Bloggers, who use their own time and resources to expose matters of public interest, have no such constraints. And their shedding the initial light on such matters can be the excuse that sympathetic members of corporate media use to give them wider exposure.

There are costs to putting oneself on the line for one's principles. The Bully Bloggers are exposing people who have powerful and wealthy connections in politics and the media. Frequently subject to hatred and threats, but sustained by the belief that getting the truth out is worth sacrifice, these dedicated citizen journalists soldier on.

Among the particular characteristics Bernie Farber attributed to Bully Bloggers were :
Targeting minorities, namecalling & attempts at intimidating r bully-bloggers stock & trade.
While one could easily dispute some of Farber's assertions about his Bully Bloggers (whom he never identifies by name), he fails to recognize the value of such things as name-calling in public discourse.

Jack Layton and the NDP decried the nickname "Taliban Jack" as a smear, but in our YouTube and Internet era of short attention spans,  people tend to think in shorthand. In two words, Taliban Jack conveyed the idea of a leader and a political party that was soft on Islamic extremism and Canada's commitment to fighting terror. It stuck - and not only because it was catchy, but because it was truthful.  And in the end, that reflects the Bully Bloggers' hope that the truth will get a hearing.

In some cases, name-calling is a very important tool. The people Bully Bloggers insult are those that would like to have authority or influence over the rest of us. As a general principle, the ones who seek out such power are the ones who deserve it least. Exposing and insulting them when they behave stupidly, viciously or hypocritically helps diminish the undeserving in the eyes of the public and keeps them away from the power they covet and all-too-often abuse.

So when Loony Libby Davies makes statements that effectively deny Israel's right to exist, or when she promotes 9-11 conspiracy theories in the House of Commons, it is in the public's interest to have a reminder that she may not deserve their respect.

When Crazy Muslim Mohammed Elmassry says that all Jews in Israel over the age of 18 are legitimate targets for murder, then it's useful for the public to have a mental trigger that he and the terrorist-supporting Canadian Islamic Congress he founded are contemptible.

When Sideshow Sarah Thomson makes implausible, self-serving accusations against Rob Ford, or Captain eHealth George Smitherman tries to regain public attention, it's relevant that both of those two people want to attain significant political power. That relevance is all the greater when considering that their records show how little they deserve such authority.

Critics of the Bully Bloggers accuse them of being racists and Islamophobes. These are two distinct and significant accusations that are often conflated and intentionally deceptive. To examine and refute those accusations, they need to be addressed one-by-one.

Racists are stupid people who believe individuals can be summed up and dismissed based on their race or ethnic origin. Racism is a belief system rooted in ignorance and hate and those that hold it are self-discrediting and can be easily dismissed. But race is different than culture. Culture is a system of ideas and practices and Bully Bloggers are not adherents to the fatuous leftist devotion to cultural relevance that considers all such beliefs and behaviors to have equal merit.

Confusing race with culture is a traditional facet of self-described progressives, who as a group are not very deep thinkers, so most of them have great difficulty differentiating between criticism of cultural practices and racism.

As far as being Islamophobes, some of the Bully Bloggers would plead guilty to that charge.  But before the Farbers of this world put on a smug smile and twinkle with what they might see as a damning confession by adversarial iconoclasts, they might consider that criticism of Islamic practices is a far cry from discrimination or prejudice against Muslims.

In fact, some of the people closest to the Bully Bloggers are Muslim critics of Islamism, like Salim Mansur, Tarek Fatah,  and Irshad Manji.

While the politically correct are afraid to call out Islamic terrorism as anything but extremism and an aberration, Bully Bloggers note how the promotion of violence is often a routine facet in the practice of Islam and the facts bear them out.

Much of Islamic practice is devoted to teaching fairness and integrity, particularly as the religion is manifested in North America. Naturally, the vast majority of Muslims abhor violence, are kind to their wives and daughters and are disgusted with terrorism. But there is a minority of Muslims who do not, and that minority is not insignificant in number. And how can those hateful, murderous ideologies be dealt with when they are denied by their perpetrators and swept under the rug by multiculturalist apologists?

Like Islamism's Muslim critics, Bully Bloggers are keenly aware that it is Muslims who are the most frequent victims of Islamist terrorism, totalitarianism and intolerance.

Islam, as it is preached and conducted in places like Saudi Arabia, The Palestinian Territories, Iran, Pakistan, and many other countries includes practices which are homophobic, brutally violent, racist, misogynistic, and anti-Semitic.  As Canada's Muslim population increases through immigration from those countries, in too many cases, those hateful ideas have immigrated with them.

In Canada, we have seen Islamic conferences which featured Imams who preached such hatred. And it took the Bully Bloggers to first draw that to public attention before anyone noticed.

Bully Bloggers led the charge that ended with Parliament voting to scrap the thought-crime laws of Section 13 of Canada's Human Rights Act. The removal of that blunt, totalitarian tool is something that sticks hard in the craw the professional Human Rights Industry. More so that the battle proved those people who claim to concern themselves with human rights are hypocrites with little regard for the most basic human right of free expression.

Maybe the next time Bernie Farber is schmoozing at a cocktail party, writing a mushy-minded op-ed for the Globe and Mail, or being a twittavist,  he might consider that the Bully Bloggers are on the front lines, at demonstrations, chronicling and exposing and sometimes being assaulted by the real hatemongers in Canada.

Bully Bloggers get called names and worse, but they can take it. Anyone seeking to shape public policy should be able to handle a few insults, and if they can't, they have no place in the public sphere. But in the end, assuming thoughts and beliefs and most importantly, genuine facts can be expressed freely, then we should have faith that the best ideas and people will prevail.

When they do, you might take time to consider the Bully Bloggers out there doing hard, often thankless  groundwork for those victories. And unlike being a Human Rights Commissioner, the work Bully Bloggers do actually requires backbone.

WTF?! Obese Libby Davies becomes a health Nazi

Libby Davies
The New Democratic Party of Canada Deputy Leader
Of all the people who should NOT be lecturing us on healthy living, the NDP's obese Deputy Leader, Libby Davies, tops the list. But as hypocrisy is the one thing the Dippers excel at...

Fortunately, the government isn't nearly as stupid as Davies.

The New Democratic Party, Iranian-linked Muslims and Jew hate in Canada

Diligent work by the blogger Blazing Cat Fur exposed the Jew-hate of Canadian Shia groups who use  anti-Semitism as a scapegoat for the murderous internecine violence between Muslims in Pakistan.

One of the leaders of this hateful thinking is Zafar Bangash, who has blamed Muslim fanaticism on "Zionist" and American plots.

Bangash and other acolytes of the Iranian dictatorship are deeply tied to leftist groups like the Canadian Peace Alliance and to Canada's New Democratic Party.

Going off the reservation: Pseudo-natives plan protest against Sun Media

A handful of Natives along with a bunch of oddball white folk who like to pretend they have native roots, plus some of the usual, bitter suspects from the perpetually-aggrieved left are planning a protest against Sun Media this coming Saturday.

Ostensibly, the cause of their ire is alleged anti-First Nations "racism" from Sun Media, but that is rather clearly a ruse for the attention-whores involved with the protest. What has really got their goat is how Sun News has exposed the corruption, waste and malfeasance occurring on many Native reserves that is being funded by the Canadian taxpayer.

Sun has also led the way in showing that the preposterous Idle No Move protests are staged nonsense. When its icon, Theresa Spence, went on a so-called hunger strike, it was Sun News that showed how she is actually taking in more calories during her supposed fast than the average Ethiopian on a regular day. The links between the union-funded, withering Occupy movement and Idle No More has also been something people affiliated with the later group were enraged at Sun News for having exposed.

Among the participants who have so far signed up on the protest's facebook page are public service union honcho John Baglow, who operates the blog Dr. Dawg. Baglow was the plaintiff in a libel suit he launched, and lost, because his feelings were hurt in a rancorous online debate.

Another particiant is a reporter from the fanatically radical, neo-Marxist website rabble.ca, the operating budget of which is mainly funded by unions and is published by the spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies. Krystalline Kraus is rabble.ca's resident Indian-o-phile whose facile writing refers to North America as "Turtle Island," a pseudo-Native sounding term that was invented by white leftist activists in the 1970's and has no history of use by Native tribes in North America. Of course, there is no evidence to suggest that  First Nations ever believed the North American continent was an island. It took stupid white leftists to invent that version of history.

Kraus actually credulously reported, evidently based on wishful thinking and delusion,  that a defrocked, discredited United Church Minister and fringe Native movement hanger-on named Kevin Annett "performed an exorcism rite in St. Peter's Square, which was followed 12 hours later by a tornado - almost unprecedented in that time and place - which devastated central Rome and the Vatican."

For similar stupidity and a collection of unhinged weirdness, you can watch the protest Saturday afternoon - the details are at the group's facebook page.

Libby Davies & Naomi Klein poverty pimping in Vancouver

Unlike those investments, projects like Sequel 138 don’t require grants or ongoing subsidies from taxpayers, Maxwell said.”
Projects like this can also build healthy communities. Kids who live in mixed-use buildings aren’t stigmatized for living in ‘the projects’. Ideas and communities intermingle- people learn to better tolerate and accept each other. This isn’t a utopian ideal- it actually works in many cities. Sequel 138 won’t bring us salvation- but it’s an important step forwards.
So, considering this- why are the radicals so hell-bent against this project? Is it just the jobs?
Of course not, it’s about their base of power. Think about it- if developers build 20 Sequel 138′s in Vancouver-East they will bring a significant change to the riding’s demographics. Despite creating 360 high-quality (and low maintenance) social housing units, they’ll bring hundreds of less radical (and less malleable) home owners.

Obscene comparison of Canadian PM Harper to Hitler and Holocaust from website of NDP Deputy Leader's spouse

rabble.ca is a fanatical, radical leftist website published by Kim Elliott, the same-sex spouse of NDP leader Libby Davies. It receives almost all its funding from unions and NDP-linked organizations like The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Council of Canadians.

A couple of years ago, they held a contest to award a weekly video spot, the so-called "Not Rex Murphy" to provide what they refer to as space for a "progressive voice"  to counter what they consider the conservatism of the CBC's Rex Murphy.

CUPE union representative Humberto da Silva became rabble.ca's Not Rex and they produce and promote his weekly rants on their website.

This week Da Silva crossed a major line that reveals what rabble, Davies and their union-supporters represent. In his video, Da Silva bloviated against a Conservative MP's Private Member's Bill that would require financial transparency for civic service unions that currently are not required to disclose their spending to their own union membership. Not only did he compare Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to both Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, but he invoked Holocaust references suggesting that was part of the Tory political agenda.

Disgusting and deplorable as that may be to any reasonable Canadian, such degenerate fanaticism is completely within the normal range of idiocy expressed by the Davis faction that her spouse's hateful website represent.

Anti-Israel extremism and sometimes outright anti-Semitism appear on rabble. Libby Davies frequently supports the site by appearing at rabble-sponsored talks, as do other NDP members. Noteworthy is that of all the major contenders in the last NDP leadership race, only eventual winner Thomas Mulcair refused to participate in one of their online chats. Possibly because the Davies linked website was aggressively maligning Mulcair in the time leading up to the party convention.

Rabble.ca  is the "media sponsor" of such expressions of hatred as the anti-Semitic so-called Israeli Apartheid Week and efforts to undermine the existence of the Jewish state through attempts to break Israel's arms embargo of the Iran-sponsored terrorist group Hamas.

As outrage mounts against Da Silva and his union ties, it is important to keep in mind for whom he speaks and who provides him with his platform. As deplorable as he is, he is only a less subtle, marginally less sophisticated mouthpiece for the Libby Davies' NDP faction, which  if Canadian voters aren't careful, could end up as a dominant force in our next government.

UPDATE 14/11: And if you needed any more reminders of how vile the Libby Davies-connected rabble.ca is, take a look at this article they published today. (h/t Blazing Cat Fur)

And now they're complaining that a law prohibiting violent protesters from wearing masks is, like, unfair..because it'll make life harder for the comrades with criminal records

Socialist morons at website of NDP Deputy Leader's spouse want violent revolution (again)

The imbeciles at rabble.ca, the website published by the same-sex spouse of NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies, are frustrated that the majority of the Canadian public doesn't vote for their vision of socialist totalitarianism.

So not for the first time, they are debating the merits of violent revolution in Canada in a forum called "What if the black bloc have the right idea?"

Here are a few samples:

Do we have to wait till feudalism sets in completely before we do something? Its doubtful we would have the brains or nerve to stand up even then.
Im not a member of the black bloc but increasingly my thinking is becoming more radical then theirs.
Dont you guys/girls get sick of the insanity going on with conservatives? Whats your tipping point? When your children get indoctrinated? When would you be willing to do anything to get rid of conservatives?

"..once again we have this confusion about peaceful vs. violent. Violent actions are necessary in various forms all the time, both offensively and defensively."

Im not a communist but who says a violent takeover would be for the worst? Honestly.
I am not a violent person but when the choices, more and more, appear to be "be quiet and grab your ankles" or a radical takeover, what hope is there for anyone on the left?!
Where is any progress? Waiting and the usual outlets arent working.

"Well, pacifism is a pathology in many respects. It's the very same condition the state relinquishes to the masses as their right, when it graciously allows people the freedom to say almost anything they want, individually or in groups, so long as none of the projects of the corporate state are seriously interrupted.  It's the equivalent of the corporate state telling protesters to 'knock yourselves out,' and in return pacifism agrees to perform the ritual of democratic dissent to assist in maintaining the general facade; to be conducted from approved assembly areas and along agreed upon routes, with the requisite papers in order."

"First off just because most of the western world hasent had a coup that doesnt mean it isent necessary."
"Im not just talking about bricks in windows, im talking about storming parliament, at what point does that become a reasonable thing to do."

Canada's Official Opposition to introduce Bill outlawing blasphemy against Mohammed and Jack Layton

OTTAWA - In the wake of protests by Canadian Muslims insulted by a YouTube video mocking Islam's prophet Mohammed and comments by Conservative MP Rob Anders about the New Democratic Party's former leader who is worshiped as a deity withing his party, Canada's Official Opposition announced plans to introduce a Bill outlawing blasphemy.

"The Supreme Court has ruled that there are limits to free speech in Canada" said Opposition House Leader Nathan Cullen,  "and surely insults to divine figures like Jack Layton and the Prophet Mohammed cannot be accepted in civil society."

Opposition Leader Thomas Mulcair was quick to clarify that the proposed Bill would not impose new  restrictions on rights Canadians already enjoy. "These blasphemy regulations will not curtail Canadians' right to insult Jesus, Christianity, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, and other religions beside Islam and the deities and prophets they hold sacred. But just as you cannot shout fire in a crowded theater, it is now globally accepted that insults to the Prophet affect his followers in a way that inevitably leads to murder and violence."

NDP Deputy Leader Libby Davies explained why Jack Layton is to be included as a protected figure withing the blasphemy Bill.  "Obviously the right wing neo-Cons like Rob Anders learned nothing from the death threats Christie Blatchford received following the blasphemous article she wrote about Jack days after his death", she stated. "Jack is sitting in heaven with the Prophet Mohammed where the two are now dear friends, and they are both furious at the posthumous insults they are expected to endure. Obviously stronger measures are needed and legislation is the only way to appease their fury."

Penalties in the proposed legislation would be beheading for a first offense, with subsequent infractions punishable by compelling the offender to listen to children's entertainer Raffi sing his rendition of Jack Layton's deathbed letter.
